00:07What is the technology that they develop?
00:14The technology grows, but they keep improving.
00:19What is the technology that they sell?
00:27in virtual rooms, for those calls, look at this for example.
00:48I think I'm very fortunate because I can meet my wife from the maternity side, and one of them,
00:55and I think that she always sent me to teach her, and I was like the only one who stayed
01:02with her,
01:02and it seemed very interesting to see that she could create co-hijas,
01:08sacos, like so many dresses and so many creations, and since I was very young,
01:15she sent me to teach her and crochet, and from there, from a little to little to little,
01:21so I started my career, and to think that I wanted a career in the creative side.
01:31Before I graduated from Arturo, I had decided that I wanted to focus on the technology
01:37for fashion, and I thought, like, seeing the manufacturing in Colombia,
01:41I worked two years ago in Colombia before I came here,
01:44I saw the manufacturing process and it seemed like a bit obsolete,
01:48and it seemed like in the industry we lost a lot of resources.
01:52So, for me, the technology was always the way that helped us to optimize the processes.
01:58As I already had it in my mind and I knew that there was technology,
02:01but also the knowledge that they gave me in the University of Colombia,
02:06and we, as designers in Colombia, we teach manufacturing programs like Optitex,
02:13which is digital design of patronage in 2D, but in the screen,
02:18so that we don't have to do the manuals.
02:20All these abilities and everything that they taught me in the University of Colombia
02:23and what I learned in my job in Colombia, I could translate to this 3D world.
02:38And we realized that we are living in all these digital spaces,
02:43from Zoom to virtual conferences,
02:46and today we can assist to concerts in the Metaverse.
02:50And all these new applications of use.
02:53And these digital messages that we created for production,
02:56we can use them or we can transform them to be used in these different spaces.
03:01And we, as individuals who have an identity and we love to communicate,
03:07so we are the people who want to put a basic shirt,
03:11and a jeans, and a tennis, easy to go, that we are communicating.
03:15And in the Metaverse and in these new occasions of use,
03:18you want to have that opportunity.
03:19So, they open new doors for designers and creators to begin to say,
03:26OK, there are new models of business,
03:28and of course, this is the model of business
03:30where I can launch a complete brand brand.
03:33If, of course, I don't have the resources to hire models,
03:39to buy models, to buy all my stuff, to make a collection of 30 print, etc.
03:43So, there are new models of business
03:45that give us the opportunity to belong to everyone to belong to this digital world.
03:50There is a video game called Sansar,
03:53and this model is also in other spaces.
03:56And Sansar is basically like a video game.
03:59You and I, instead of being in this video game,
04:03we are in a virtual space.
04:05And I enter from my phone, from my computer,
04:08or if I have an Oculus or a virtual reality,
04:13I can also enter.
04:14And in these spaces, there are virtual tiendas
04:17and I can go to these tiendas and say,
04:19I like this jacket, I like this hoodie,
04:22I want to buy it for my avatar,
04:24but I also want to come to my house.
04:26And today, there are brands that have that possibility,
04:29and it is a possibility that we can aspire to.
04:33What is the process of producing?
04:36We have to take about three weeks
04:39to approve a product, right?
04:41From the concept,
04:42to search materials,
04:44to do the muestras,
04:45to receive the muestras,
04:46to do the feed,
04:47to do the feed,
04:49to do it,
04:49to send it to the factory
04:50to do the corrections,
04:52to do it,
04:53to do it,
04:53to do it,
04:54to do it,
04:54to do it,
04:54to do it.
04:57With the use of the technology,
04:59this process takes days.
05:01So, we have to take about one to three days
05:04to try the muestras for production.
05:06And the truth,
05:08only with diminishing the time
05:10and the consumption of materials and energy,
05:13we are completely changing
05:15the focus that we have as designers
05:17and give them a better product
05:19from the design side.
05:21And with the muestras more virtual,
05:24I can try it in different avatares,
05:27in different models virtuales,
05:29in different sizes,
05:30and it allows me to inform more
05:32in seeing all the proportions
05:34of my design,
05:35to give me a better product
05:36to all the size
05:37that will make my client.
05:39The technology is so advanced
05:40today that a computer
05:42is recreating,
05:43as in a video game.
05:45In a video game,
05:47your avatar or character
05:49walks in the space,
05:51so there is like a physical space
05:53that also has gravity
05:55and all that can make
05:56a processor of a computer
05:57so we can recreate
06:00the caída of the textiles,
06:02the visual sensation
06:03that they have in the textiles
06:05and we add maps of relief,
06:08or like capes of relief,
06:09colors,
06:10we can add those stamps,
06:11which really gives us
06:13and gives us the sensation
06:14that a physical text has.
06:17And really,
06:18the only thing we need
06:19in these moments
06:20is to have the tact
06:23to feel the texture
06:25like that.
06:26How many designers
06:27what are you going to find out?
06:30I think there are
06:32many designers
06:33and there are more
06:35that are added to these spaces
06:36from different parts of the world
06:38that can give you the possibility
06:40to say really
06:41how much you want to pay
06:42for a hoodie.
06:43So you will find
06:44a hoodie of $1,000
06:47of Valenciaga
06:48which was around
06:49that price
06:50in Fortnite,
06:52but you will find
06:53other hoodies
06:54that can only be five.
06:55So it is like
06:56your decision
06:56as a consumer,
06:58what you want to buy
07:00and what you want to buy
07:01and if you want to buy
07:02for your avatar
07:02or for the physical world.
07:04And I think
07:05there will be enough demand
07:07for all of us
07:08to have a space
07:09in this virtual universe
07:12to be creators
07:13and to have a business.
07:15We have to have
07:15digital dresses
07:16that no exist.
07:18And why?
07:19Why?
07:19Because today
07:20we are on Instagram,
07:22we are on social media,
07:24on Instagram,
07:25TikTok,
07:26Facebook
07:26and here we are
07:27wanting to put photos
07:29and information
07:29of what we do.
07:30And it has become
07:31a taboo
07:32the fact that
07:32we do not repeat
07:34the trend.
07:34Or the trends,
07:36for example,
07:36on TikTok
07:36change every week
07:37a dress that was
07:38super de moda
07:39and it was viral.
07:40The last week
07:41it was not this week.
07:43So,
07:44if you are going to
07:45to think
07:45if we are going to
07:46to consume moda
07:46the real world.
07:48That fast fashion
07:49is so fast,
07:50and we are sending
07:51to the garbage
07:52or we are going to
07:54recycle it
07:54to end
07:55like in the
07:55box.
07:56The moda virtual
07:57and the digital
07:58can be part of
08:00the tendency
08:00to change
08:02the atuendos
08:02as soon as we can
08:03as soon as we do,
08:04without having to
08:04damage the planet.
08:09I had the intention
08:10to bring the
08:12moda digital
08:12to Colombia,
08:13but also to show
08:15the metaverse
08:16around the world
08:18that Colombia
08:19and the
08:19creadores
08:20colombianos
08:20also understand
08:21what is happening
08:22in this world
08:23of the moda
08:23digital.
08:24So,
08:24I wanted to
08:25mix the
08:26nature and
08:27traditions
08:27textiles
08:28colombianas
08:29with the
08:29streetwork
08:30that is basically
08:31how we
08:32identify
08:33today
08:34and Medellín
08:35is a very
08:36casual
08:36and Colombia
08:37is a
08:37where we are
08:38casual,
08:39the climate
08:39is very
08:40calm and
08:41very
08:41ameno.
08:42I wanted to
08:43combine all these
08:43things and create
08:44a collection
08:45with which people
08:46in Colombia
08:46can be identified
08:47and say,
08:49if I am
08:50this
08:50avatar
08:51tomorrow,
08:52I would
08:52be with this
08:53atuendos.
08:54I wanted to
08:55have that
08:55representation
08:56because I also
08:57think it is
08:57important to
08:58digitalize
08:58our culture
08:59and give
09:00transcendence
09:01to
09:02all these
09:04stories,
09:05myths,
09:06legends
09:06with which we
09:06grew up
09:07and also
09:07our
09:10indigenous
09:11and cultural traditions.
09:17The fashion film
09:18I did with my husband.
09:20He also worked in the industry
09:22of digital design,
09:25but he worked in public
09:26and advertising.
09:27I said,
09:29he was
09:29composed of video.
09:31I created
09:32all the 3D aspect
09:33and everything that had to do with the mod
09:34and the
09:35avatars and he helped me
09:36to compose the video,
09:38to ilumine it.
09:39And
09:39also,
09:40DJ Gangsta,
09:41who is a
09:43composer
09:43Colombian,
09:44who works with
09:45various people
09:46from the
09:48género
09:48of reggaeton.
09:49That was
09:50helped
09:50with the music.
09:51So,
09:52the idea was
09:52basically
09:53to create a fashion film,
09:55that it was a digital experience,
09:57where I could show
09:58what we can do
10:00with the
10:01will,
10:02and with the
10:02tools of technology.
10:09But,
10:10we started to see
10:11that there are
10:11Semanas of the Moda Digital
10:12around the world.
10:14And we started to see
10:15that the metaverses
10:17and the
10:17big brands
10:18want to be part of
10:20these Semanas of the Moda Digital.
10:21And now,
10:22there is one that is
10:23The Vogue,
10:24with Yahoo,
10:26and
10:27there are
10:28big brands
10:30in the
10:31metaverse of
10:32Central Line.
10:33So,
10:34there are going to be
10:34very interesting things.
10:36We have to be
10:36aware of how
10:37the big brands
10:38are pauting
10:39these new
10:40markets
10:41so that we
10:42learn and
10:43that we know
10:43that only with
10:44the knowledge
10:45and the use of
10:45the technology,
10:46we can be part of
10:48these Semanas
10:49of the Moda Digital.
10:56because
10:57many people
10:58who come to the Metaversus
10:59come from the
10:59industry of gaming,
11:01the industry of 3D,
11:02and the
11:04designers
11:04of the Moda
11:05have to
11:05come to
11:06a role
11:07to give
11:08funcionality
11:08to the moda
11:10in those
11:10virtual spaces.
11:11Because if we
11:12disconnect the
11:13we will
11:13then we will
11:13start producing,
11:14we will
11:15continue producing
11:16more
11:16clothing in the
11:17physical world
11:17and even
11:19produce more
11:19clothing in the
11:20virtual world
11:21that also
11:22consume energy.
11:23But if we
11:24can be able to
11:25optimize the
11:25processes,
11:26we can
11:29reduce the
11:30resources
11:30that we are
11:31using.
11:36I have
11:37worked a lot
11:40with other
11:41brands and other
11:42projects,
11:43so now I
11:43expand my
11:45studio,
11:46called Infinito
11:48Studio,
11:49to help
11:50more brands
11:51to digitalize.
11:52brands of
11:53any size,
11:54we have many
11:55services,
11:55the idea is that
11:56if you want to
11:57focus on
11:57sustainability
11:58and you have
11:58problems and you
11:59want to know
12:00how to use
12:00the technology
12:01before creating
12:02your brand,
12:03I am happy to
12:04help the
12:04brands that
12:05are in that
12:05process,
12:06and also
12:06the great
12:07brands that
12:08want to
12:08make projects
12:09for the
12:10metaverse
12:10or fashion
12:11films,
12:11that
12:12I am
12:12looking at
12:12in these
12:13moments.
12:16With Infinito
12:17Project,
12:18the idea
12:18is to create
12:18an initiative
12:19digital,
12:20where brands
12:21who have ideas
12:22and say,
12:23I'm afraid to
12:23come to the metaverse,
12:24but I have this idea,
12:26they can
12:26come to the studio,
12:27come to me and say,
12:28I would like to do this,
12:30what do you think?
12:31And in that way,
12:31we can create
12:32collaborations with
12:33marcas latinas,
12:34marcas colombianas,
12:36to be able to give
12:36that opportunity
12:37to people
12:38of the
12:38Spanish
12:38that
12:39are
12:39that
12:40the
12:40metaverse
12:41that sometimes
12:42seems very
12:43lejano because
12:43the majority
12:44of people
12:44will talk
12:45in another video.
13:14have
13:14we have
13:16any
13:16in another video.
13:18Especially
13:18I
13:18I
