00:00The people who voted, who voted and who supported the process of the PAN
00:05seems to have a response from the government to castigate the zone.
00:10I think one of the particularities that has the North del Cauca, especially Suárez,
00:16is that there is a big risk of us, the leaders.
00:19The life is not sold, it is loved and defended.
00:22And that's what we are defending today.
00:24And we want to defend it from all the spheres.
00:30Music
00:49In a month after a year or a year we were in an harmony,
00:56in the territories, the missiles were destroyed.
01:00But fortunately, with the time and the change of government,
01:05we realized that that was not going to be possible,
01:07and the process of violence in these territories
01:11came back to the territories with other groups that came to be present,
01:16and that way, we risk the lives of each one of us.
01:19The peace is negotiated under a negative peace,
01:24not a positive peace.
01:26A negative peace because they are between two actors
01:29where they don't take into account the community,
01:33and specifically, they don't take into account the community
01:35because we, as a process,
01:37we reached the peace agreement after a break.
01:40Today, these structures that have in the territory
01:43are generators of violence,
01:45and one doesn't know where they are going to be,
01:50because there is no ideology.
01:51I mean, I'm here, in this region,
01:56there is a total disaster.
01:57There is no state presence as it should be.
02:01Yes, sir.
02:37There is no state presence in the territory of the territory
02:38The issue of the threats that have been presented
02:40lately is supposedly, as I said at the beginning,
02:47on the issue of the issues of the village
02:49that they wanted to plant or are planting,
02:52where they influence that practically
02:54we are opposition to that.
02:59The territory is like the body, let's say, we women are the ones who stop, and that is the territory,
03:09the territory is life, we are life, so it is the same thing.
03:14For example, here in the river there have been many people threatened, so the fear is always there, but we
03:23can't let us win that fear, because then what would be of our territory if we let us win that
03:32fear?
03:33Many times, as social leaders, we complain because they threatened me, because they told me that they could not be
03:40there, I go to a side and let them finish with everything we have.
03:45These are our rights, and if we, as a Colombian people, if we, as a ethnic people, let us put
03:54our rights, they are put on our lives, and if they put on our lives, we are renunciating to them.
04:03As a Colombian people, we have all the three people who are concerned about the importance of thinking about it.
04:08How do you think about it?
04:12How do you think about it?
04:13How do you think about it?
04:28How do you think about it?
04:33in that subject of the representative, and that more representative of the organization.
04:39This is a territory that has been very hit by the armed conflict,
04:43and there were many affected, and today we are victims of armed conflict.
04:47So, at this time, we would also like, and we would like to be in the process
04:51of how to participate in the Curules de Paz,
04:55because it is really where we can say that we can do things for our communities.
05:01The Curules de Paz that have been defended from our communities,
05:07we believe that if it is done according to what is established by the same peace agreement,
05:15that we are victims of this conflict, that we are our people,
05:19I believe that we would achieve, not all the objectives that we have planned,
05:26but that would be a great influence in the national government,
05:29and also departmental, because there would be our voices from the Congress of the Republic.
05:36What that comes from there is not anything else,
05:40it is not anything else,
05:41we have no conditions for one to do a political exercise in this municipality.
05:48Here always have existed the mafia,
05:51the who is not of their interest, the who does not represent their interests,
05:55then it is the enemy.
05:56And so, as Lissi Frey has its clear posture and represents the community issue,
06:04that for me the territory is the maximum,
06:07there is no alliance with multinationalists, there is no alliance with corruption,
06:11then that is mortal.
06:20It is important that as a community we can help us,
06:24individually we cannot achieve anything, but collectively yes.
06:28I am aware that, belonging to the politics,
06:30and mainly to the CMJ or with a more important political role,
06:34I have the opportunity to help the young people,
06:38to create projects and do more than what I have been doing.
06:43We have an imminent danger,
06:45not only due to the risk of the armed conflict,
06:49but also due to many other things,
06:51but I am aware that in a couple of years,
06:54we will have a lot of support,
06:57we will have a lot of empowerment,
06:59and many more willing to finish doing what we are already starting.
07:03In this moment, I belong to two organizations,
07:07one of women, from the area of Yolombó,
07:09and the other of young women,
07:11also from the area of Yolombó.
07:15The women is an association that has been created
07:18with the purpose of helping us from the territory,
07:22because for lack of opportunities here in the territory,
07:26in the community,
07:27many women have had to work elsewhere,
07:30leaving their homes, their children,
07:32for lack of employment and threats also.
07:36So, the idea is that here,
07:38as an organization,
07:40there are many women leaders.
07:42But here, as you have said,
07:44we have to talk about the good things that happen in Suárez.
07:46Here, in the municipality of Suárez,
07:48we have been working,
07:49making a big deal for the issue of implementing new productive crops,
07:56and we have the certainty that if we can take them forward,
08:01many families will be able to see benefit.
08:02Even though our lives have been so hard,
08:05and so marked by the violence,
08:07I think that same hardness
08:09makes us very strong against the armed conflict
08:11and allows us to fight every day,
08:13and allows us to visualize
08:15that our next generations will be in better conditions.
08:19It is that we are from La Toma,
08:22we are from this territory,
08:24we are from VIA,
08:26we are from Tierra,
08:27and here we are,
08:28and here we are not going.
08:37To be continued...
