04:00con tantos futuros futuros futuros,
04:28Bien.
04:29Estabas parte de la clase alta detrás de los 3,
04:35que votaron contra ellos.
04:37Sí.
04:38¿Crees que ahora,
04:39esa clase detrás,
04:42por ejemplo,
04:43Sin, Error y Alcaraz,
04:44es más fuerte que vosotros?
04:46No me acuerdo,
04:49conmigo,
04:50no diría que los jugadores ahora son
04:53dotados de los 3.
04:57I think the players at that time, as I just mentioned, were a touch more consistent, you know, with their
05:04results.
05:05But the peak level, when you see, you know, guys like Roode, Fritz, Zverev, you know, quite a lot of
05:15guys who have unbelievable high level that can play incredible tennis.
05:21And so it's just also finding a way how to navigate to keep this consistent level throughout a longer period
05:30of time.
05:31Okay.
05:32Do you miss playing against Rafa and Roger?
05:36No.
05:36Were you sick of them?
05:39Well, yes and no, of course.
05:41You know, it was always amazing to see them play, you know, first as a player, second as a tennis
05:50fan.
05:50You know, you watch them and it's the, you know, poetry in motion, as they say, you know, like beautiful,
05:59beautiful tennis.
06:00And what they were able to create on the tennis court, their athleticism, the abilities, also the mind, the attitude,
06:08the level of tennis they were producing day after day was just incredible.
06:13And so it was great to see them and to play against them, to learn from, from these guys, from,
06:20learn from these matches.
06:21But yeah, I, I, I prefer that they're not anymore here.
06:27And now, how is playing against these men, these guys, and Carlos, what is the difference between them?
06:35And, um, I think, you know, both Yannick and, and Carlos, uh, definitely found the key, uh, how to navigate
06:46their career, uh, to find what is working the best for their game.
06:50And, uh, possibly also learning from Novak, uh, Roger, Rafa, Andy, you know, from, from this generation that raised the
06:59level of tennis to incredible level.
07:01And now, uh, in this era where they are here, uh, they are showing, uh, incredible level of tennis, so
07:09consistent.
07:11Um, we were always wondering, you know, how tennis will be when, you know, these big three are out and,
07:18you know, the tennis is, uh, now it's, uh, you know, with them at, at incredible level as well.
07:24And, uh, they're amazing ambassadors for, for sports, two different game styles.
07:31Uh, both very athletic, uh, you know, uh, great guys on the tour, uh, very lovable, you know, from the
07:37fans, from, you know, from the public.
07:40So, uh, and, and rivalry, their, their live, rivalries is, uh, now is becoming, you know, historic as well.
07:48So it's definitely, definitely incredible.
07:50Well, Lars, one of double, double question for, to, to close the chat.
07:55Uh, you have been a war child in Croatia.
07:57Uh, what do you think about everything that is going on in the world right now with all this stuff,
08:04the, the wars, et cetera?
08:07Yeah.
08:07And, uh, if you could, uh, tell me about, uh, something about your foundation, relationship with this situation?
08:16Um, yeah, um, yeah, for me, you know, when I was a child, I didn't, didn't feel the, the war,
08:24you know, obviously, okay.
08:25I moved my family and, and myself actually, my father was, uh, part of the, part in the war and,
08:31and, uh, a lot of family members, but I didn't feel it as, as a child, you know?
08:36And when I started, when I started with tennis and my childhood, you know, everything sort of cooled off, but
08:44what is happening in the world, it's, it's nothing new.
08:46You know, it's been, uh, so many things, you know, and through the history you go, um, and unfortunately it's
08:52the, the way the world works.
08:53You know, uh, it's very materialistic things, uh, only few people in the world are deciding, uh, of these things.
09:00And, uh, obviously, uh, in, in terms of, uh, the empathy, the, the, the, the feelings, the, the, the normal
09:10socializing communication, it's, you know, back in the, you know, thousand years behind.
09:16So that's, that's, that's, that's not, uh, anything to, to, to accept, uh, and, uh, for my foundation, I love
09:26that.
09:26I love to help, uh, kids, uh, to, to, especially the kids that, uh, are possessing incredible talents, uh, because
09:35I found myself as, as my story coming from a very small town, uh, with no opportunities, no family sports
09:43backgrounds, uh, you know,
09:46fighting through, uh, difficult stages in my life, in my early life with the financial help, uh, you know, uh,
09:53my parents, you know, trying to connect everything they could to, to give me opportunity to, to do some sports.
10:01And so it's on me now a little bit of a responsibility to try to help other young kids who
10:07possess great talent to be, be a wind from their, behind their back to push them into good direction.
10:15And also, uh, to be a, a, a great example, uh, as an idol, as, as a person that they
10:21look up to with great values, you know, with, uh, you know, great, great athlete with, with, uh, you know,
10:30good responsibilities, good attitude, professionalism, uh, respectfulness of, to the sport, to the, to the environment as well.
10:37So, uh, I think it's, it's working well.
10:40And I, I love this.
10:41I love that it's feeding off and it's, uh, becoming bigger and bigger.
10:45And another thing, uh, is, uh, we have another event, another project of the foundation, which attracts, uh, many top
10:54athletes of Croatia, including a lot of football, uh, stars, as, as, as well as Luca.
11:01And, uh, we are together in a project playing tennis doubles, uh, to, uh, you know, to support and create
11:08funds to, uh, build, build sports, playgrounds in schools that actually don't have, uh, any, any playground.
11:15So it's beautiful and, uh, inspiring for me as well.
11:38Thank you.
