00:07:18Well, you know, Regal and Taylor have had their problems, John, with Kane over the past few weeks.
00:07:22In fact, last week, in a two-on-one handicap matchup, Taylor and Regal walked out of the match,
00:07:27got counted out, went to General Manager Long and said,
00:07:29enough, we are through with Kane.
00:07:31General Manager Long said, okay, well, you're through with Kane as a singles competitor.
00:07:35We're gonna give Kane a tag team partner, The Boogie Man.
00:07:38Oh, and what a right hand by The Big Red Machine.

00:11:15This is a tag team matchup.
00:11:17Regal and Taylor against, well, the most unlikely tag team ever in Kane and the Boogeyman.
00:11:22But the story here, John, Kane has not yet tagged his partner, Boogeyman, into the matchup.
00:11:28You said it before, Michael, it's Regal and Taylor's worst nightmare come true.
00:11:33Well, you think Kane, what's going through Kane's mind?
00:11:36This is a horror film come to life.
00:11:40And the sadistic Big Red Monster walks through the second rope.
00:11:43Still on his feet.
00:11:45And that is the athleticism of Kane, who's driven into that steel post by Taylor.
00:11:51William Regal drew referee Mickey Henson, and Taylor capitalized.
00:11:55And this could be the opening that Regal and Taylor need.
00:11:59And Kane may need to try to tag in that worm-eating freak, the Boogeyman, whether he likes it or
00:12:06not.

00:12:24How about the freak show we got in the main event?

00:12:32The Undertaker and Batista versus Finley and Mr. Kennedy.
00:12:37You saw the way that that rivalry exploded earlier tonight.
00:12:41And, of course, what happened last week, and what's interesting is Undertaker and Batista,
00:12:46are teammates tonight, although they'll battle for the world title in backlash in a last-man-standing match Sunday.

00:12:55We're going to see one of these two phenomenal athletes, Batista or Undertaker, get beaten so bad,
00:13:01they will not be able to answer the bell.
00:13:04That is what we are guaranteed of in a last-man-standing match.
00:13:08And that is two days away from today, Michael, when you're asking these two guys to be tag team partners.
00:13:15Partners? Not a chance in hell. Mark my words.
00:13:19How the hell do you keep Undertaker or Batista, for that matter, down for a count of ten in that
00:13:23last-man-standing match?

00:13:26I have fought both of them many, many times.

00:13:34And Regal comes in off the tag, and Regal and Taylor doing a great job isolating Kane,
00:13:39working on the left arm, trying to take the power game away from the Big Red Machine,
00:13:43and there you see Kane's tag team partner tonight, partner.
00:13:46He hasn't tagged in yet.
00:13:49He's done nothing but jump up and down on the apron like an orangutan.
00:13:54Look at William Regal, continuing the pressure on the Big Red Machine.
00:13:57How does Boogie Man get through customs? Explain that to me.
00:14:00In a post-9-11 world, how does a man that eats worms get into London, England?
00:14:05John, did you see how powerful, though, Kane is?
00:14:08Regal couldn't quite lock the hands to get that hold in on Kane.
00:14:12Kane broke it, but now the quick tag again as Taylor comes in,
00:14:15continuing to wear down the Big Red Machine.
00:14:19And this is that style that is so effective for Regal and Taylor.
00:14:24Continuing to prevent the tag, this is what they have to do.

00:14:29You don't want a fresh monster getting in there.

00:14:32In a city that brought us Jack the Ripper,
00:14:35they've never seen anything like what they are looking at right now.
00:14:39And you know, if you take away that left arm of Kane, John,
00:14:41you take away the chokeslam perhaps as Kane delivers a belly-to-belly,
00:14:47could be the opening the Big Red Machine needs.
00:14:49But even more important, Michael, you don't just take away the chokeslam,
00:14:52what Regal and Taylor are doing.
00:14:53You're taking out the Boogie Man.
00:14:56You have got to make sure that that freak that eats worms,
00:14:59that has somehow gotten in here to London, England, and for some reason
00:15:03these fans choose to cheer, does not get in the ring.
00:15:08I was trying to find out if Boogie was actually shouting some sort of words
00:15:12of encouragement at Kane, but I can't even understand what he's saying.
00:15:15And tag made to William Regal.
00:15:17He's got a mouthful of worms.
00:15:18And Regal in off the tag again, targeting that arm of Kane,
00:15:24trying to take the chokeslam perhaps out of the repertoire of the Big Red Machine.
00:15:29And Kane battling back again.

00:15:35Boogie Man makes George the Animal Steel look normal.
00:15:41This is the craziest thing that WWE has ever seen is this Boogie Man.
00:15:47What about what Regal and Taylor are doing here, John?
00:15:50They're doing what they've been trying to do for weeks, take Kane out.
00:15:53And they're doing a perfect job of it.
00:15:55Double team, frequent tags in and out.
00:15:57They finally found a way to do it.
00:15:59It's taken three weeks to do it.
00:16:00Michael, they finally got a chance to shove Kane into the ring post.
00:16:03And they have not let him breathe since.
00:16:06It was the veteran instincts of Regal.
00:16:07He drew the referee away while Taylor broke the rules.
00:16:11And Dave Taylor launching himself through the air.
00:16:14Kane rolled out of the way.
00:16:15And can Kane make a tag?
00:16:17And he does to the wormy Boogie Man.
00:16:20And Boogie Man into the ring going after Regal.
00:16:24Regal's punch is ineffective against the Boogie Man.

00:16:31And there's a slam by the Boogie Man.
00:16:33William Regal doesn't quite know where he's at.
00:16:35This is exactly what Regal and Taylor did not want.

00:16:46And perhaps the most unlikely tag team ever functioning quite well as a team here.

00:19:53Introducing first from Olympia Washington, weighing 179 pounds, Brian Kendrick.
00:19:59And you see Paul London has ripped tape, bruised them up with that moonsault off the apron last week.
00:20:05We've said all along, Michael, that these two young guys, London and Kendrick, were a car crash waiting to happen.
00:20:10They finally hit turn two and ran into the wall.
00:20:14But what a marvelous run they had as tag team champions.
00:20:34Introducing next, from the other side of the tracks, weighing 235 pounds is one half of the WWE tag team
00:20:42champions, Deuce.
00:20:44The new tag team champions, Deuce and Domino, and look at the smiles on the face of those young men.
00:20:51Talk about an impact, Michael.
00:20:53Deuce and Domino, and Sandy, or Jerry, whatever her name is, comment the WWE.
00:20:59And within two months, they take away the championships.
00:21:04London and Kendrick, who held them longer than anybody but three teams in tag team history.
00:21:11This is a one-on-one matchup tonight.
00:21:13It is Deuce against Brian Kendrick.
00:21:15And London and Kendrick cannot compete as a team tonight due to those injuries we talked about.
00:21:20Paul London suffering last week.
00:21:22But London and Kendrick, we understand, will exercise their right for a rematch once Paul London is back to 100%.
00:21:30And that is Deuce with the jacket off, holding the tag team gold.
00:21:34Up to the team who held those titles for nearly a year.

00:21:41Brian Kendrick not in a good mood, and who can blame him here tonight?
00:21:43And Paul London obviously suffering at ringside.
00:21:46The very appeal of London and Kendrick is the very thing that did him in, Michael.
00:21:51Those high-risk, high-octane maneuvers that are so fun to watch is what finally calls these young guys a
00:21:58marvelous championship run.
00:22:00And that's what Brian Kendrick has to do in this matchup.
00:22:02Use his quickness, use his great balance to try to keep the more powerful Deuce on his heels.
00:22:08Deuce missed with a kick, and Brian Kendrick quickly into that side headlock.
00:22:12Deuce, of course, the much bigger man, but Brian Kendrick has the heart of a champion.
00:22:16We've seen that for nearly a year.
00:22:19The resiliency of these two guys, London and Kendrick, Michael, has just been nothing short of phenomenal.

00:22:28They've been in every match.
00:22:28Look at the backslide.

00:22:30They haven't been a kick out by Deuce in two.
00:22:31They've been in every match you can believe, and through it all, when the lights were on bright, they were
00:22:35able to come out on top.
00:22:37London and Kendrick facing the best SmackDown had to offer for nearly a year.
00:22:40Finally met their match with Deuce and Domino last week.
00:22:44And Deuce reversing into that.
00:22:47Brian Kendrick.
00:22:48Look at Kendrick.
00:22:49On his knees, the grit and determination looking over the shoulder of his fallen partner, Paul London.
00:23:01What Kendrick needs to do here is what exactly what they need to do as tag team champions.
00:23:06They need to create space, Michael.
00:23:07You need to stay away from Deuce.
00:23:09That's when these guys are excited.
00:23:11Shoulders down.
00:23:12And that's when also Kendrick is the most effective.
00:23:15And you see that look of determination near grit on the face of Brian Kendrick throughout this matchup here tonight.
00:23:20You have to believe after holding those tag team titles, John, for nearly a year, London and Kendrick cannot wait
00:23:26to try to win the gold back.
00:23:28You have to.
00:23:29One thing about it is this.
00:23:31Deuce and Domino walked into this company and had these two guys' numbers.
00:23:36Except when the lights were on bright, it was the first defeat they had against London and Kendrick.
00:23:42Last week they came out here and got those tag team champions.
00:23:45And Brian Kendrick uses this athleticism to get them out of that predicament.
00:23:48John, let me ask you.
00:23:49You're a former WWE champion, you're a former tag team champion as well.
00:23:52What is it like?
00:23:53What is that hangover like when you finally lose the championship and now you realize you're not the champion anymore?
00:23:59What is it like that first week as you try to adjust emotionally?

00:24:04But the thing it is, Michael, I'm telling you, it is like the entire world fell off of you.
00:24:09You were on top of Mount Everest and all of a sudden somebody else has done it.
00:24:13And all of a sudden you were on a back burner.
00:24:15Michael, it doesn't feel very good.
00:24:17Talking about Kendrick's determination.
00:24:19What about the look we saw moments ago in the eyes of Deuce?
00:24:23Deuce so intense.
00:24:25This Deuce and Domino team straight ahead, smash mouth in your face style.
00:24:30Such a contrast from the style of London and Kendrick.
00:24:34Contrast make matchups.
00:24:36What Deuce and Domino do are very similar to what Regal and Taylor did.
00:24:39They are smash mouth wrestlers.
00:24:42They beat people up.
00:24:44Deuce delivering that elbow right to the gut of Brian Kendrick.
00:24:49Contrast helped Deuce and Domino win that championship.
00:24:52Last week on SmackDown, the high risk maneuvers finally caught up with Paul London and Brian Kendrick.
00:24:58Contrast and a little help from Cherry.
00:24:59You know, the one thing you've got to do as tag team champions, you have to use everything in your
00:25:04arsenal.
00:25:05And right now, Michael, it is a lot easier to hold on to those championships than it is to get
00:25:10them.
00:25:10Because you get disqualified, you hold on to the championship.
00:25:13Now, Cherry starts playing more and more of an important factor in every single match.
00:25:19And Cherry is here in ringside on roller skates.
00:25:21She is the girlfriend of Deuce who's in the ring.
