00:00A suspected killer allegedly turned to ChatGPT with a whole host of horrifying questions before
00:05murdering his roommate and possibly his roommate's girlfriend as well. According to court documents,
00:1027-year-old Hisham Abu Garbia asked the chatbot, quote, what happens if a human is put in a black
00:16garbage bag and thrown in a dumpster? ChatGPT replied, it sounds dangerous. It was then asked,
00:21how would they find out? The accused killer also asked the AI bot about changing a car's vehicle
00:27identification number and whether or not it was legal to keep a gun at home without a license.
00:32The questions were reportedly posed to ChatGPT three days before Abu Garbia's roommate,
00:37Zamil Limon, and his girlfriend, Nadia Bristie, both students at the University of South Florida,
00:42were last seen. Limon's body was found on a bridge connecting St. Petersburg to Tampa.
00:47Bristie is still missing, but presumed dead. The suspect was arrested last week after cops
00:51showed up at his front door for an unrelated domestic violence incident. When he saw the
00:56police, Abu Garbia proceeded to barricade himself inside and refused to cooperate for over an hour.
01:02SWAT teams, bomb disposal teams, and crisis negotiators were even dispatched to the property.
01:07He now faces two first-degree murder charges.
