00:00Previously on Heated Rivalry.
00:02And where is he wearing Rosanoff?
00:03My what?
00:04Scott Hunter is right next door.
00:06No, I mean, not your boy.
00:08Just like...
00:08It's always Hollander and Rosanoff, right?
00:11He's hot.
00:12We should let him listen like my thing call.
00:14He's an asshole, right?
00:15I mean, yeah, basically.
00:16The record for this event,
00:17currently held by the New York Admiral's Scott Hunter.
00:21Glad to see Rosanoff in the home of my record
00:23for more than a minute.
00:24Nice shooting work.
00:25I thought it was Scott Hunter's year.
00:27Babe, can you believe Russia?
00:28Be nice, Bonnie.
00:30Hey, what did Ross say about it?
00:31I don't know.
00:32Listen to me, that's for sure.
00:34We're not, like, friends or anything.
00:36No worries.
00:37I'm sure someone else grabbed him.
00:38Seriously, this year, baby, we're coming for you.
00:40Trust me.
00:40You look great in silver, Bonnie.
00:41Don't even stress.
00:42Good one.
00:56I want some ice cream bad, man.
00:59Do you not find it weird that we're in a beach town in Russia in February,
01:02talking about getting ice cream?
01:04Went to the Olympics, baby.
01:05I'm sure this should be, right?
01:08Hey, isn't...
01:09Isn't that...
01:10Oh, yeah.
01:12All in there.
01:13What's up, motherfucker?
01:15Hey.
01:16All right, so tonight we can do the men's short form figure skating here.
01:18My buddy Joe is in that program.
01:20We're training together.
01:21Would you guys be cool to do that?
01:23I'd love to show up for him.
01:24Oh, yeah, man.
01:25Show up for any dude who's that brave.
01:27What do you mean?
01:29Well, I'm assuming your buddy might be gay.
01:33I mean, fucking pray for a dude to show up to a place like this and be like,
01:37Hey, here's me.
01:39Russia is not safe for folks like that.
01:43Fucking balls of steel, man.
01:45Nope.
01:56Welcome back to Man in the Crease, your one-stop hockey shop.
02:00Today's first period topic is the inevitable one for the Admirals.
02:03What has happened to Scott Hunter?
02:0570 points last season.
02:07Yes, and we're six games into this season.
02:10A season he, he called, need to win.
02:13Those are his words and he has zero, zero points.
02:17He's in a fog.
02:18His passes aren't connecting.
02:20He's barely skating.
02:21I can't imagine he's amazing in the room right now.
02:24And he's already been announced as Team USA captain at the Olympics in Russia.
02:43He's in a moment.
02:44He's resetting the event.
02:47He's tired of seeing you.
02:48I'll fight her.
02:49Don't you worry where there's your days?
02:54There's something here.
02:56I want to see you.
02:59I'll just see you.
03:03Um...
03:03Ahem.
03:08I am very sorry about that.
03:11Hopefully not a big deal.
03:12How may I help you?
03:14Uh, what's, uh, what's good?
03:17Um, just a bunch of very decent smoothies with deeply stupid names.
03:23Any allergies?
03:24No, no, no, I'm easy. Okay.
03:26Um, I mean, the best one's the blueberry one, but...
03:29Oh, you mean Blue Moon Over Brooklyn?
03:30Yeah, yeah, that's it.
03:32But what?
03:33Oh, um, nothing.
03:35Just when I make it for myself in the morning, I add a banana.
03:39Oh, so you're kind of wild.
03:41Well, I mean, it wouldn't be the first time somebody's told me that.
03:46Uh, yeah, that actually sounds pretty good.
03:48Yeah?
03:48Blueberry with a banana.
03:50I take that, if it's okay to order off-menu.
03:54Yep.
03:55I mean, technically it was my idea, so I think we can get away with it this time.
04:18Oh, you weren't kidding. It's really hot.
04:20Oh, yeah. The banana makes a big difference, I think.
04:25Well, I guess it must.
04:31Here.
04:32Thanks.
04:35Um, that's way too much.
04:37It's for you.
04:39It's a great smoothie.
04:41Thanks again, Kip.
04:47Girl.
04:49Holy shit, are you...
04:54Was that Scott Hunter?
04:56Was that what?
04:57Scott Hunter, the hockey player.
05:00A girl.
05:02Block winding down in the second period.
05:042-1 for Anaheim.
05:06We have girls.
05:07And this is what we're watching?
05:10We barely get to see you, because you're always working.
05:13But at least when we do, we get to watch, uh...
05:15What does this...
05:16Let me check my name.
05:17Hockey?
05:18Shut up, Sean.
05:19I have to turn it off.
05:20No, no, no, please keep it off.
05:21Huh?
05:22Thank you, Kyle.
05:23Thank you, Kyle.
05:25Thank you, Kyle.
05:25You're welcome.
05:27Twice.
05:28He said tip.
05:29Like, he used your actual name twice.
05:31Maria, that is selling the bar so loud.
05:34And it didn't even sound stupid when he said it.
05:36It almost sounded hot.
05:37Okay, that's not fair, not hot.
05:38Which is normal.
05:40Okay, don't listen to it.
05:41Fuck both of you, okay?
05:42Camp is short for Christopher.
05:43It's not that weird.
05:44It's short, but it's for Christopher.
05:46And please don't tell me you used that name on your grad school application.
05:49Oh, my God.
05:49Why are we talking about my dumb name?
05:51He said it.
05:52He said it.
05:54Another round?
05:55Thank you, Kyle.
05:57Thank you, Kyle.
05:59Hunter the bomb.
06:00And you?
06:00Bond sends him back to Hunter.
06:03Look, look, look.
06:04He's on the TV right now.
06:05Sean, look right now.
06:06Oh, my God, okay.
06:08Bond's to Hunter.
06:09Hunter, punches in front of the net.
06:10And he scores!
06:12A rare goal from Scott.
06:14Oh, wow.
06:15Right?
06:15He knows your name.
06:17Yeah.
06:18I mean, he's definitely not gay, but...
06:20Shut the fuck up.
06:20He literally blocked him.
06:21Jesus Christ!
06:26He scored a hat-trick last night.
06:28Are you asking me what that means, or are you just telling me something I already know?
06:31I just didn't realize that...
06:33We literally watched the game, Kip.
06:40Nice to see you again, Kip.
06:42Nice to see you again, Scott.
06:46You're Scott Hunter, right?
06:48I am.
06:49This is awesome.
06:50I mean...
06:50Wow, you had a night last night.
06:52Oh, did you watch?
06:53I did, yeah.
06:54I don't usually...
06:55Sorry, that sounds rude.
06:57I'm...
06:57No, I got it.
06:58Well, I watched the playoffs last year with my dad.
07:01It was amazing.
07:02He's a huge fan.
07:03But, yeah.
07:04I watched last night.
07:06Wow.
07:08Um...
07:08You know, when something goes right with my game, I try to repeat it, and then I try to perfect
07:13it.
07:14Okay.
07:16So, I'd love another smoothie, please.
07:20Anything you'd like different?
07:21Nothing at all.
07:24There you are.
07:26Okay, you really can't keep doing this.
07:28I really can.
07:30Uh, see you next game day, I hope.
07:37Dude.
07:38Girl.
07:39Was that?
07:39Yes, I fucking was.
07:48Sorry, I'm late.
07:50No outside food or drink.
07:51Fuck off, Kyle.
07:56And I know the whole smoothie thing is dumb, or whatever, but he just keeps saying my name,
08:00and it's low-key making me crazy.
08:02Wait, you're still coming with me to that fundraiser, though, right?
08:04Because I am not looking for a date.
08:05Yes.
08:06I told you I could come, and it's in, like, two months.
08:09Could you please listen to me?
08:10Kyle, remote.
08:17Extra shrimp.
08:19Thank you for the day.
08:19It's all right.
08:21New York with control.
08:22Okay.
08:23Now I'm fully listening.
08:25What are you doing?
08:25Just putting the game on.
08:26Elena.
08:27What?
08:27It's a sports bar.
08:29Let's watch sport.
08:30Am I being crazy?
08:32What does Maria say?
08:33She says he's fighting me, too.
08:35Well, she is much smarter than you.
08:36I'm probably this idiot.
08:39He's not an idiot.
08:43Jesus.
08:44Brian.
08:46Brian.
08:46When's his next home game?
08:48Come on.
08:49If you don't know when his next home game is, how are you going to plan your next shift?
08:51I don't plan my shifts.
08:53I just gobble up as many as I can.
08:56Saturday.
08:56They play at home again on Saturday.
08:58Are you working?
08:59Oh.
09:02Fuck.
09:03No.
09:04Fix that.
09:13Yeah.
09:14Hey.
09:16I didn't know if you, uh...
09:20Brooklyn, please.
09:21Extra banana.
09:22Yeah.
09:29This one's on the house.
09:31Oh, come on.
09:32It's above my pay grade.
09:33Management heard you came in.
09:34And no, you may not tip me.
09:36And yes, I'm using proper grammar to prove to you that I'm being serious.
09:41Okay.
09:42Um.
09:44Uh, may I drink this here?
09:46Uh, I've got some emails to answer, so I thought...
09:49Yeah, you totally may.
09:53I'm gonna drink this with my hands.
09:56I don't know.
10:01I've got some emails to answer.
10:07I don't know.
10:09Come on.
10:10I don't know.
10:14Come on.
10:15Uh...
10:16Uh...
10:17Uh...
10:17Uh...
10:19Uh...
10:20Uh...
10:20Uh...
10:20Uh...
10:20Uh...
10:21Uh...
10:22Uh...
10:23You're not worried about breaking your routine?
10:27No, I'm not actually that obsessive.
10:31Turns out I'm too lazy to be a serial killer.
10:33I took a quiz.
10:35I don't even think I could be a spree killer.
10:37What's a spree killer?
10:40Someone who kills multiple people at the same time.
10:43But isn't a serial killer someone who kills multiple people at minimum three,
10:46but over a period of time, not all at once.
10:52How do you know that?
10:55I read a lot of murder books.
10:57And, uh, yeah, serial killers make me feel not obsessive,
11:04which is a relief.
11:06Well, I've read some things about athletes.
11:09Okay, before you say anything else, yes, I agree.
11:12And yes, there are at least two guys on my team that are possibly off the record.
11:16Yes, maybe.
11:17But no, not me.
11:19No, I swear.
11:20Barely had two concussions.
11:23Okay, so, what?
11:25No left sock, right sock, stop shaving, no sex, all that stuff?
11:29Oh, no, yeah, yeah, yeah, all of that.
11:30But that's not CTE stuff, that's just science.
11:32And science only really matters during the playoffs.
11:35Oh, okay, that's super comforting.
11:37Listen, I know you're more of an art guy,
11:39so it's not like I expect you to get the ins and outs of science.
11:42And just to be clear, I'm not complaining about the whole stop shaving thing.
11:45I mean, you all look like hot lumberjacks by the end of May.
12:02Um, do you want to come to my game tonight?
12:05I have two seats, no one's taking them, so.
12:08I mean, if you want.
12:11Yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:12Yeah, yeah, I want.
12:14Um, fuck, man, that's crazy.
12:17Super happy to do it.
12:20You sure?
12:23I'm sure.
12:28These are better than my company seats.
12:30I get it.
12:31These are really good seats.
12:32Well, yeah, they're hints.
12:36You know, we're first date, but I think I'm into this.
12:39What are you talking about?
12:40Well, you're with a girl, and he's at work.
12:42Oh, my God, shut up, Elena.
12:45Oh, wow.
12:46Well, that wasn't me, that was...
12:49He just nodded at you.
12:51No, there's no proof of that.
12:53Come on, boys.
12:59Wait, for fuck's sake.
13:01Oh, come on.
13:10Good job, I love you.
13:12I love you.
13:13I love you.
13:14I love you.
13:15Good job, I love you.
13:17Hey, Hunter.
13:18Too bad you can't play at home every night, right?
13:22It's better for you, huh?
13:23Go fuck yourself, Rosanoff.
13:25All right, it's more fun if you're there.
13:31Hey, thanks.
13:37Hope next time we play, you decide to show up.
13:42Cheap.
13:43True.
13:47It's starting to sound like him.
13:49I'm sorry, what?
13:53You fucking heard me, Hollander.
13:55What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
13:56Well, there's something you really don't expect to see,
13:59especially after the final whistle,
14:01and especially from Hollander and Hunter,
14:03a fittingly brutal end to yet another brutal road,
14:06pretty out.
14:12I'm going to hit the sack.
14:13Yeah, here you go, handsome.
14:15All right, have a good day off.
14:17It's not a day off.
14:18I'm doing that catering thing tomorrow.
14:20Yeah, yeah, I just, you know,
14:21you get to sleep in for once,
14:22which is all I'm just happy for you.
14:24It's all I'm meant.
14:25You know.
14:26I, uh, I'm proud of your hustle, kiddo.
14:30You know?
14:31You didn't get that scholarship anyway, so...
14:33Please, please, no jinxing me.
14:35No way, no way.
14:36Good night.
14:37Good night, Dad.
14:38Love you.
14:38Love you, Dad.
14:44Motherfucker.
14:51What's happening to you?
14:52Uh, what's your problem?
14:53I can't find my, my, my black suit,
14:55and I have to leave so, so soon.
14:57Okay, well, it's with the dry cleaning in my closet,
14:59so why are you freaking out?
15:02Okay, hey, hey, are you okay?
15:04Yeah, I'm fine.
15:04I just, I need the money,
15:06and I can't fuck this job up.
15:07Yes, and I get it,
15:09but you're not gonna fuck it up
15:10because you're amazing,
15:11and it's gonna be great.
15:13I love you.
15:14Yeah, you too.
15:15Yes, buddy.
15:20I am so sorry.
15:22Save it.
15:23Give me the bed, Doc.
15:29Motherfucker.
15:30All right.
15:31I am so sorry about that.
15:33I'm real sorry.
15:34Oh, you're a mess.
15:35It's okay.
15:35It's not my only talks.
15:38New York used to have professional waiters.
15:40Now it's all just models.
15:41You can't carry a tray.
15:43It's, uh, it's really okay.
15:45I'm so sorry again.
15:46Oh, bunny.
15:49Babe, I don't know what that was.
15:51I know.
15:52I'm a complete fuck-up, and I'm sorry.
15:54You're not a complete fuck-up.
15:55This is not rocket science or whatever it is you're into.
15:58Art, Sean, please don't fire me.
16:01No one is firing you.
16:02Just calm down and get your shit together.
16:05Okay?
16:06Okay.
16:07I know you need the money, baby.
16:08Okay?
16:10Deep breath.
16:11Inhale.
16:13Exhale.
16:16You think you can handle quiche?
16:18They're dry.
16:25You think you can handle quiche?
16:28You really?
16:29Yeah.
16:29She's very good.
16:34Hey.
16:35Hey.
16:36I am so sorry about earlier.
16:38That woman is horrible, and I'm the one who should apologize.
16:41I was standing right in front of the kitchen door like an idiot.
16:43No, I'm the idiot.
16:44You're just a normal, great person at a fundraiser.
16:46And that woman did seem horrible.
16:49Full disclosure, I hate this food.
16:50Well, full disclosure, I hate serving it.
16:55I'm a spree killer.
16:57Or even a spree killer.
16:59You sure?
16:59Yeah.
17:00It was the time.
17:01But do you have the time to grab a bite with me, like when this thing is over?
17:06Tonight?
17:07Yeah.
17:09With you?
17:10Uh, wow.
17:12Yeah.
17:12Yeah, okay.
17:13Yeah.
17:14Yeah.
17:15Because there's, uh, there's this great place right around the corner, and it's open late,
17:18and...
17:19Okay.
17:19Um, you don't mind waiting until I'm done?
17:22Not even a little.
17:29No.
17:32No.
17:35No.
17:36No.
17:39No.
17:40No.
17:40No.
17:42No.
17:43No.
17:43No.
17:44No.
17:44No.
17:45No.
17:54That's a long line.
17:55Is it worth it?
17:57Um, I...
17:59Probably not, right?
18:02We also don't actually have to do this.
18:05How would you feel about ordering in?
18:07No.
18:21Holy shit.
18:27Oh my god.
18:49I mean, I figured you'd have a nice place, but this is insane.
18:58Do you want the full tour now, or?
19:02Four. I pick four.
19:07I pick four.
19:08I pick four.
19:08I pick four.
19:36Wow, you are so beautiful.
19:46I can't believe you're doing it to me.
19:49I'm so into you.
19:51I'm so into you.
19:52I guess I'm thinking about you.
20:19Oh, my God.
20:21Oh, my God.
20:35What are you doing?
20:36Chief, I didn't want to wake you.
20:40And I just thought, since you have your game tomorrow, and, you know.
20:52Can you stay?
20:55Yeah.
20:58Then stay, please.
21:00Watch this.
21:36Did I wake you?
21:38Oh.
21:39Okay, I meant to surprise you, and I was going to go out and get stuff, but I looked in
21:42your fridge, and you basically had all the ingredients.
21:44I know I shouldn't be snooping around, but I didn't have to do that much snooping.
21:49You were very organized, and I thought, since I'm not working today, but you still have your game, that you'd
21:54probably still want it.
22:03Um, can I fuck you?
22:08Absolutely.
22:24So, I should probably go.
22:28So, um, what if you didn't go?
22:39Like ever?
22:48Um, I'm, um, I'm going to say a bunch of things, okay?
22:55And I know I'm too intense, everyone tells me that, but I just, I can't help it.
23:00Is it okay?
23:00Can I be too intense?
23:04Yeah, I, um, I never do this.
23:13Never brought anyone back here, like ever.
23:17Um, yeah.
23:19My life is, uh, is complicated.
23:22Yeah, I, uh, I get that.
23:29And I can't, um, come out, like, not, not right now.
23:40Too many people depend on me for too much, and it would just, it would fuck everything up.
23:45And so, I just thought I would, um, I don't know, wait, I guess.
23:52Yeah, wait till hockey was over, and maybe I could fade away better.
24:03But, uh, yeah.
24:07You, it's just, uh, I want you so bad.
24:16So bad.
24:18And I know that you barely know me, so why would you even consider something that's, that's probably fucked up.
24:23Like, I, I know I'm fucked up, I get it.
24:25I'm, I'm not pretending, I'm not.
24:27But I really, really like you.
24:33So, I want you to stay.
24:35So I'm, I'm asking for what I want.
24:41I want you to be here when I get back from practice later.
24:45And I, uh, I want you to be here when I come home from my game tonight.
24:51I, um, I want you more than I've wanted anything in a long time.
24:59Um, is, uh, is that too much?
25:05You can say it if it is, um, do you say something, though?
25:36I think I'd love to be here when you get back.
25:41And I don't think you're too lazy to be a serial killer.
25:46Really?
25:47Yeah, really.
25:49Yeah, you're definitely not lazy.
25:57Hey.
25:58How much practice?
26:07I don't know, like, uh, a few days ago?
26:10Yes, I sent in the applications.
26:12Yes, and even to be you.
26:14And yes, I know we hate Boston.
26:17With Elena, Dad, I'm staying with Elena.
26:19So I don't have to schlep to work.
26:21I get to sleep in the next hour.
26:24Fuck yes.
26:26Nothing, Dad, no, I'm just watching the game.
26:28Yes, with Elena.
26:30Oh, my God.
26:40Where has she even been?
26:42Oh, please, I saw you three days ago.
26:44Single since forever, overworked like she has two wicked steps.
26:48This is then, she gets a man and vanishes.
26:50What a cliche.
26:51I don't have a man, hey, kid.
26:54Keep your boyfriend on TV at all times, please, Kyle.
26:56Oh, my God, guys, he's a customer.
26:58He's not my boyfriend.
26:59Oh, I don't have a fucking boyfriend.
27:05Oh.
27:13Oh.
27:14Oh.
27:14Hiya.
27:15Oh.
27:21Morning, Scott.
27:22Morning, Kit.
27:23Be usual, please.
27:25Yeah.
27:27Extra banana.
27:32I'm not sure what I'm going to do without these on my road trip.
27:34I'm pretty sure they have smoothies in other cities.
27:36I'm not like these, they don't.
27:41Do you really think this is a secret?
27:43What's a secret?
27:46Nothing's happening.
27:47He's just flirting with me or whatever.
27:49He's straight, I think.
27:51Girl.
27:56Bridge.
27:57Chicken, no feta?
27:59Oh, yeah?
27:59Where?
28:00For me.
28:01I made it.
28:05You dead?
28:09I'm not just a pretty face.
28:11No, but you're a very pretty face.
28:17What's that?
28:19It's an artist I love.
28:21He has a new shot.
28:21Oh, cool.
28:23I should buy some art.
28:25What?
28:26Hey, I'm not just a pretty face, either.
28:28No, no, no, no.
28:29You're also a very, very hot body.
28:35Oh, my God.
28:46You don't have to do this.
28:49That's cool.
28:57That's cool.
29:05Okay?
29:05All right, I just...
29:06It's okay.
29:08Maybe we should...
29:10Amazing, isn't it?
29:12Yeah, it's beautiful.
29:15So are you two just browsing or shopping to buy?
29:19Oh, I think we're...
29:20Yeah, I think we're just browsing right now.
29:22Yeah.
29:23Excuse me.
29:28Sorry, he's not feeling well.
29:29No problem.
29:30No problem.
29:42I'm, uh, I'm really sorry.
29:44I thought I could do that.
29:46I really thought I could.
29:48I wanted to.
29:49I just...
29:49It's okay.
29:51No, son.
29:53I know, son.
29:55Come here.
29:55Come here.
29:56Come here.
29:59Mom.
30:22These road trips are just killing me.
30:25I mean, it's brutal.
30:27I think I'm cursed.
30:28Cursed?
30:29Like scary old lady?
30:31Cursed?
30:31I know.
30:32I know it's dumb.
30:33But I'm not the only one who's superstitious.
30:36Would you be jealous if I got my smoothies from some other guy?
30:40Maybe.
30:41Probably.
30:42Well, what if I filled you in on all the juicy details?
30:45Like, like how he blended them?
30:47Ooh, what if I actually was a scary old lady?
30:50Or what if you always kind of had one with you?
30:53What do you mean?
30:55Okay.
30:56Here.
31:02Hey, I know it's dumb.
31:04I know it's dumb.
31:05But I saw them at a bodega, and I thought they looked like your smoothie.
31:14I love them.
31:15Yeah?
31:16I love them so much.
31:18I love them.
31:24I love them.
31:25I love them so much.
31:27I love them.
31:32Oh, my God.
31:40Oh, my God.
31:44Fuck yes.
31:46That's two times.
31:47If you say it out loud, it's the curse broken.

34:09You know, I miss you.
34:11I miss you too, Dad.
34:13All right.
34:14Are you going to be making an appearance here at some point in the near future?
34:18Yes, I will.
34:20I'm going to come for dinner this week, I promise.
34:22Perfect.
34:23How's work?
34:25Well, work is fine.
34:26You know, Barry's being a pain in my ass, but...
34:28Well, Barry's an asshole.
34:29No, he hurt his foot, so at least it's something new this time.
34:33Yeah, well, Barry's always been an asshole.
34:35Who taught you to talk like that?
34:37You did.
34:38You taught me to talk like that.
34:39That sounds about right.
34:42And, um, nothing in the mail, right?
34:45Kip, if there was something in the mail, I would not have forgotten about it.
34:48I know, I know.
34:49I just figured I'd check.
34:51Okay.
34:52Don't worry about that.
34:54Okay.
34:55Don't think about that, okay?
34:56It's going to come when it comes.

36:15You need to chill out.
36:18My God.
36:20Can I have some of yours?
36:22Yeah.
36:23Thanks.
36:27Well, I like our playoff chances this year.
36:29I think we might even get some home ice advantage.
36:31Well, if this guy keeps playing the way he has been, maybe.
36:35What changed?
36:36You mean a nice girl or something?
36:38I think we just found a group as a team.
36:42Excuse me, gentlemen.
36:43I think I spotted an old friend.
36:45I'm just ridden you, Scott.
36:47You know your parents would be so proud of you, right?
36:50Your mom especially.
36:51She would have just been thrilled.
36:54Thanks, Tom.
36:56Thanks.
36:56Excuse me.
37:00Hey.
37:01Okay?
37:02Yeah.
37:03Yeah.
37:03I should be used to it.
37:10I'm Kip, right?
37:14Christopher.
37:15Money's all dressed up.
37:16I'm Elena.
37:18Nice to meet you, Elena.
37:19I'm Scott.
37:19Pleasure.
37:20Scott.
37:20You look beautiful.
37:22You both do.
37:24Oh.
37:24Sorry.
37:26Yeah.
37:26We both clean up pretty well.
37:33Okay.
37:33If I go get more drinks, do you promise to start talking, Christopher?
37:36Yes.
37:37Of course.
37:37Great.
37:38Another beer, Scott?
37:39That'd be lovely.
37:46Are you enjoying the evening?
37:48I am.
37:49Are you?
37:51Looking forward to the after party, honestly.
37:57Touched us perfectly.
37:59Thanks.
38:00And thanks.
38:02I mean, you didn't have to.
38:03I wanted to.
38:08Okay.
38:11Elena knows.
38:13And I'm sorry.
38:15Yeah.
38:16I kind of got that.
38:17It's okay.
38:19She's discreet, right?
38:21Yeah, totally.
38:23It's okay.
38:24Really?
38:25Yeah.
38:29This is so weird.
38:32Yeah.
38:33You should leave early, as soon as I do my speech.
38:35Not before you dance with me.
38:37Pardon?
38:38I want to dance.
38:40Elena's a killer.
38:41But how could I possibly say no?
38:49So, what are your intentions with my kid?
38:52I'm serious.
38:54He's crazy about you.
38:56I'm crazy about him, too.
38:57I really am.
38:59He's also miserable.
39:01Are you miserable, too?
39:05No.
39:05I don't know.
39:08Wait.
39:09What do you mean?
39:10Nobody wants to be kept a secret.
39:12He's not.
39:13He is.
39:16Eyes on me, handsome.
39:20I'm doing my best.
39:22I love him.
39:23I just can't do better right now.
39:27I've been honest.
39:28I know.
39:29And he's so in love with you that he'll put up with it.
39:34But it's killing him.
39:41I'm not saying any of this to be mean.
39:43I'm really not.
39:44And you seem great.
39:46But he's great, too.
39:52He deserves the best.
39:55He deserves sunshine.
40:08And so do you.
40:17It's my birthday on Sunday.
40:20I know.
40:21I've already got the key to her lined up.
40:23Surf and tersh.
40:25Because we're not choosing.
40:28You know the Kingfisher?
40:30It's the bar I told you about where I watch all your games?
40:33Mm-hmm.
40:34A couple of my friends are throwing me just like a little party there.
40:38It's not even really a party.
40:40It's just hanging out or whatever.
40:42Right.
40:43It's a gay bar.
40:45But it's not a club.
40:47It's just a bar.
40:48It's honestly more of a hockey bar now, thanks to me.
40:51It's too.
40:52And I was thinking that you could just come as my friend.
40:55As somebody who buys smoothies from me.
40:58I mean, Maria knows.
40:59My friend Sean knows.
41:01They know that you buy smoothies from me.
41:08I can't.
41:11I can't do that.
41:14I want to tell everyone.
41:17I want people to know you're mine.
41:19That I love you.
41:22I love you too.
41:24Soon, maybe.
41:29I mean, in a few years.
41:34I know.
41:35I know how it sounds.
41:36But it'll go by quickly.
41:38I promise.
41:39And then we can be normal with, like, like other people.
41:47I heard what you said in your speech tonight.
41:52And I know that they're your family.
41:54And that you feel responsible for them.
41:56And I get that, Scott.
41:57I really, really get that.
42:02But I have a family too.
42:06And I keep lying to them.
42:08And I don't want to.
42:11And I miss them.
42:12I miss my dad.
42:16Sorry.
42:17That's not what I meant.
42:18It's okay.
42:19I know what you meant.
42:24I'm gonna go home tonight.
42:27I need to.
42:58Thank you for coming.
43:00For those of you who've attended before, feel free to ignore my sob story and go straight to the bar.
43:07But for those of you who don't know it, here's the short version.
43:12My parents were both junior hockey coaches.
43:16And they were hit by a drunk driver when I was 12 years old.
43:22Mercifully for them, they died instantly.
43:25Mercifully for me, the St. Thomas scholarships existed.
43:31I didn't have anybody else to help me.
43:35I had a lot of memories, a love of hockey, and a huge hole in my heart.
43:42St. Thomas filled it with hope.
43:45The hope of a new family.
43:48Things weren't always easy.
43:50You know, they never are for anybody.
43:52But in hockey, I found what I was missing.
43:57First at my high school, then later at college, and now here with the Admirals.
44:02And I never looked back, because I never had to.
44:09The family I craved, the family that I needed, that I still need today.
44:16Hockey gave it to me.
44:18And St. Thomas gave me hockey.
44:22So from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you all for being here tonight.
44:26And for supporting this cause, because it's not just a scholarship.
44:30It's everything that comes with it.
44:33It's a whole world.
44:34A whole life.
44:38It's everything.
44:57It's everything.
44:59Get up.
45:00Hey, Dad.
45:02Anybody, the prodigal son, returned home.
45:04Look, I got to send the mail here for a certain someone, and it's pretty heavy.
45:09I don't know.
45:13Hey.
45:18Hey.
45:20My boy.
45:22Come here.
45:23What's up?
45:24Oh.
45:25Hey.
45:26I'm sorry.
45:28What?
45:28You got nothing to be sorry for, silly.
45:31Oh.
45:34Oh.
45:43Here's a pretty funny thing.
45:46And a full buck-a-ride.
45:47Oh.
45:50Yeah.
45:51I want you to smile, I'll watch the most of me now.
46:20Hey, good dress man, it's a cool middle fucking game.
46:25Yeah, totally.
46:27Yeah, I'll be right back.
46:27Let's go.
47:08Let's go.
47:29Let's go.
