The government has no money, so GBA–Panchayat elections won’t be held, says HDK

ಚುನಾವಣೆ ತಡ ಆಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ಎಚ್‌ಡಿ ಕುಮಾರಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯ ಕಾರಣ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೇ, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹಣ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ, ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ನಡೆಯಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has given a surprising reason for the delay in elections. He said the government has not released funds to the Election Commission, and therefore, the elections will not be held for now.
