00:07it's time to throw a curveball at the house guests.
00:11Welcome to the surprise eviction episode of Big Brother.

00:27Congratulations, Vanessa. You are the new head of household.
00:30But found herself caught between both sides of the house.

00:40But ultimately, Vanessa told Steve that she might take a shot at the dentist.

09:32which premieres this coming Monday after the Big Bang Theory.

09:38Life in Pieces is a new kind of comedy.
09:40It's about one extended family told in four short stories each week.
09:44Each story is sometimes awkward, often hilarious, and ultimately beautiful.

10:39My family is very dysfunctional, and I can really relate to it.
10:44So, yeah, I'm really excited to see what it's all about.
10:46All right, guys, so let's get dressed and meet me in the backyard.

10:59So, I walk into the backyard, and I'm literally in a backyard.
11:03There's a playground, there's a sandbox, and I'm feeling kind of at home.
11:06But right now, it's time for me to pull through, win some cons, and get myself to the end of
11:10this game.
11:11In today's competition, your chances of winning the veto are in pieces.
11:15And in order to earn safety this week, you will need to put together your giant Life
11:20in Pieces puzzle.
11:21When the horn sounds, your puzzle board will become magnetized for 20 seconds.
11:26Race across your balance beam to start assembling the pieces of your puzzle on your magnetic board.
11:30If you don't make your way back across the balance beam and hit your button before your
11:35clock hits zero, your board will demagnetize, and your puzzle pieces will fall off, forcing
11:40you to start over.
11:42Also, tread carefully when crossing the balance beam, because if you fall off and touch the
11:47ground, your board will also demagnetize.
11:50Anytime your board demagnetizes, you'll only have 10 seconds to hit your button and reset
11:56your timer, or your game is over.
11:58The first player to complete their Life in Pieces puzzle on their magnetic board, then hit
12:03their button, will win the power of veto.
12:05Who's ready to play Life in Pieces?
12:08Yeah!
12:11I really want nominations to stay the same this week, which means John and Steve can't
12:15win this thing, because that would force me to put up either Liz or Austin.
12:19So for me to stay this week, I have two options going into this veto competition.
12:23One, I could throw it to Liz and Austin, or number two, if Steve is getting dangerously close
12:29to winning, I have to win this for myself.
12:31I'm just going to have to make this decision as I go.
12:42The object of the game is to complete your puzzle board the fastest, while hitting the buzzer
12:47every 20 seconds to keep the puzzle board magnetized.
12:50If you don't hit your buzzer in time, all your pieces will fall.
12:54You then have 10 more seconds to hit that buzzer, or you will be eliminated from the game completely.
13:21You then have to wait to go.
13:22How frustrating.
13:23I was so busy looking at the pieces and trying to order them that I lost track of time and
13:28forgot to check my
13:29and see if I was in the negatives.
13:31And next thing I know, I've been eliminated.
13:34So within seconds,
13:35Vanessa is already out of the competition,
13:37and I was kind of counting on her
13:39because we had three people
13:40that would keep the nominations the same.
13:43Now it's just up to Austin and I,
13:45and Austin does not have a good track record with puzzles.
13:48This is hard.
13:49So this one is pretty much all on me.
14:05Johnny Mac has said that if he's given the chance,
14:07he's gonna throw the veto to myself and Liz,
14:09but we can't rely on that.
14:11There's no one else to go up if Steve or Johnny Mac wins.
14:24I'm not the best at this balance beam.
14:26I have to walk across this.
14:28I can't run because I don't have a balance beam.
14:29I don't have the balance to do it.
14:30My strategy with the actual puzzles,
14:31I'm looking for the letters,
14:32I find the name of the show,
14:33and just keep working my way down.
14:39My strategy is build the entire puzzle in the trough.
14:43With this strategy, I don't even have to focus
14:45on running back on the beam to hit the button.
14:48And then once the entire puzzle is complete in the trough,
14:51put it on the board, secure yourself a veto.
14:53So in the event that I need to win this thing,
14:55I'll be good to go.
15:07Every time I think I got a grasp on this puzzle,
15:09something goes wrong, either I take too much time
15:12or I trip and next thing you know,
15:14all my pieces go splat to the ground
15:16and I got to start all over.
15:22Ah.
15:33So I'm looking over,
15:34I'm seeing that Liz is doing pretty well,
15:36and I'm starting to think,
15:37maybe I can just throw this to Liz,
15:39and I don't have anything to worry about for this week,
15:41because she's doing pretty well.
15:50Almost done with my puzzle.
15:51I'm getting so frustrated because a couple pieces
15:53aren't working.
15:54I am livid.
15:58I hit my button and I look over and I'm like,
16:00Steven's getting very close.
16:01Too close for comfort.
16:03Sorry, Austin and Liz.
16:04I'm going to finish this thing.
16:06And you're going to have to trust me.
16:09I see how these pieces fit.
16:10I know where everything goes.
16:11But the problem is, all the pieces on the top are too low.
16:14I need to push them up so I can fit these pieces on the bottom.
16:16But I'm looking over at Liz.
16:18She's really close too.
16:19I think it's going to come down to the last couple of seconds.
