00:00Come in again, for it to be on record.
00:03So, without much ado, please welcome to Dr. Sri.
00:07Thank you for giving your time.
00:08Dr. Sri, there's this view that Malaysia has got too much politicking and politics
00:14that it may need to take a back seat, okay?
00:18Especially with the country facing this oil crisis,
00:21the world facing this oil crisis and much uncertainty that's coming up
00:25and it may have even bigger problem from June onwards.
00:29Can we handle opinion on this?
00:31Yeah, well, I think in any economy that any country in the world,
00:38the most fundamental thing is that you must have political stability.
00:44Well, if you ask me personally, this is the most important ingredient
00:51if you want to grow your economy or you want to solve the problem of economy.
00:56If you don't have the political stability, it's very, very difficult
01:01for you to overcome all these challenges that you have ahead of us.
01:06So, therefore, I still think that, you know, around this time,
01:10we need a real battle about economy and looking after our people here in the country.
01:16We must know we have also have a lot of limitation financially, you know,
01:22and we are still running in deficit every year almost close to about 80 to 100 million with this,
01:27with the subsidy that's huge actually taxing the government.
01:31The more reason, I think, we need a real political stability in this country.
01:35At least for now, we need that very much, very, very much.
01:39Are you referring to any specific places or incidents?
01:42I don't refer to any specific places in general because one place is not good enough.
01:47The whole country must have that political stability.
