00:01This program documents actual homicide investigations.
00:05Criminal charges are often dropped or reduced,
00:07and all suspects shown are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
00:21At an apartment complex on Tulsa's east side.
00:27Help! Help!
00:30Malanji, police, firework, medical.
00:32I need medical. I was just shot.
00:35You just got shot.
00:36Hey, hold my neck.
00:38You got a shot in the neck?
00:40I think so.
00:42Please hurry, bro.
00:44It's like four of us.
00:46The person that shot you, are they still there?
00:49No, they ran.
00:50They just put out a gun and started shooting.
00:53We got help on the way, okay?
00:55Oh, my God.
00:57Oh, my God.
00:59Oh, my God.
01:07Police and BMS arrive and find a Honda Accord
01:10crashed into an apartment building.
01:12Help me get this guy out.
01:14With four young men shot inside.
01:18This guy's the one in the neck.
01:19Let's go.
01:21Let's go.
01:22Let's go.
01:23Let's go.
01:23Let's go.
01:25Paramedics rushed the 911 call and another victim to the ER.
01:30Not awful.
01:32Not awful.
01:33Not too bad.
01:34But the other two can't be saved.
01:38That's my boy.
01:39That's my boy.
01:40Wait.
01:48For homicide detectives, their chance of solving a murder is cut in half if they don't get a lead within
01:56the first 48 hours.
02:15Hey, how are you?
02:17Detective Jason White will lead the investigation.
02:21What are you guys now?
02:22Okay.
02:23All four victims are in the silver car.
02:25You got two deceased.
02:27So, this is Jet.
02:29Jet Brummett.
02:32The back right passenger, 18-year-old Jet Brummett, was born in Tulsa and moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma as a
02:40young boy.
02:41He played on a youth football team and was a senior at Cleveland High.
02:46Jet leaves behind his mother, father, and two sisters.
02:56He looks pretty young.
02:58He's got just a single defect in his back there.
03:03And then your second victim, he's on the driver's side of the car.
03:07The second victim, who was driving the car, is 18 years old.
03:13He had defect back in the head.
03:15He was shot in the head, upper back, and right forearm.
03:19You got one guy at St. John's and one guy at St. Francis.
03:23One of them shot in the neck, one of them shot in the stomach.
03:26The third and fourth victims are both 19 years old.
03:31Tom is at the hospitals.
03:32He's getting their information.
03:34And are expected to survive.
03:37Okay, perfect.
03:39Let's go around here.
03:43All right.
03:45Okay, since...
03:46These are all really close.
03:47Around 9 millimeter.
03:49The team recovers 26 9 millimeter shell casings.
03:53Looks like your two shooters are shooting this parking space.
03:57The casings are split into two trails, leading to a parking spot 50 feet away.
04:03Our victim's car is probably back in there.
04:06I guess the driver hits the gas, goes forward into this apartment.
04:19One hour in.
04:21The driver lives here, right down there.
04:23The deceased victim who was driving the car lives in the complex with his father and girlfriend.
04:29Okay, I'm gonna bring her with us.
04:32The driver's girlfriend agreed to talk at homicide.
04:35There's also a home witness around here.
04:38She actually looked out the window and saw everything.
04:40Great.
04:42Hey, do you know if these cameras work?
04:44You have cameras there.
04:46There's a camera there.
04:47Oh, good.
04:48Once the sun starts coming up and these businesses open, then we're gonna be able to start looking for some
04:52video.
04:53I'm going downtown.
05:02Back at homicide.
05:06Hello?
05:07This is Detective White.
05:09Somebody told my daughter that somebody had a gun and started shooting.
05:14So I've been trying to find out if my son was in the hospital, but somebody just said that he
05:20was dead.
05:21Well, I don't, who's your son?
05:24Yeah, Berman.
05:26Like, was he taken to a hospital or is he still there?
05:29No, ma'am, he's still there.
05:32So he is dead?
05:33Yes.
05:35It's a lot, I know.
05:37Something that nobody should have to deal with.
05:40I'll tell you, I'm just sick for you.
05:42But, but listen, I'm the detective that's gonna be handling this.
05:45If you hear anything, you need to let me know right away.
05:48Would you please do that?
05:49Yes.
05:50We're gonna figure this out.
05:52All right.
05:53All right, dear.
05:54Thank you so much.
05:55Bye-bye.
05:56Bye.
05:58Okay.
05:59Let me grab my partner here and we'll talk to them and see what we can get.
06:07Thank you very much for your patience.
06:09I'm sorry.
06:10White and Detective Matt Farrell start with the eyewitness to the shooting.
06:15Let's start from the beginning.
06:17Tell me what you saw tonight.
06:19Well, I was heading to bed around like one.
06:23And I thought it was people just firing firecrackers near where my apartment is.
06:29Because it was so loud.
06:32And so I just wanted to see what it was about.
06:36She looked out her window.
06:37And then all I see is just two of them popping their guns.
06:42Two people?
06:43Two people.
06:44Okay.
06:46Describe one of them for me.
06:49I saw like a Hispanic guy.
06:50He was wearing a black hoodie.
06:53A black hoodie?
06:54Yeah.
06:55He looked like he was young.
06:57Okay.
06:58Where was he standing in relationship to the car?
07:00Driver's side.
07:01Driver's side.
07:02Okay.
07:03How close was he to the vehicle?
07:05He was close.
07:06So this is the car?
07:08Uh-huh.
07:08And this is him.
07:09Uh-huh.
07:10As he's shooting, he's going in the car.
07:12Like still shooting and then running to the car.
07:15Yeah.
07:15Okay.
07:16So the other guy is going to be on the passenger side.
07:19Describe him from head to toe.
07:21He was young.
07:23I know he was Mexican too.
07:25Okay.
07:26Maybe a blue shirt.
07:28Did he kind of run up on the side of the car as well?
07:31Yeah.
07:31What did you see them doing next?
07:33Get in the car and drive home.
07:35Okay.
07:36Describe that for me.
07:38It's a small car with four doors.
07:41It was black.
07:43Anything else about this that you can possibly remember?
07:49Listen, you've been very helpful.
07:50And I appreciate you letting us know that you saw what you did.
07:55All right.
07:56I'll get the officer to get you out of here.
07:57Okay?
07:58Thank you very much.
08:03All right.
08:04Making some progress.
08:09The girlfriend?
08:10The girlfriend.
08:10All right.
08:10Well, let's talk to her.
08:19Okay, young lady.
08:21I'm sorry.
08:22I know that this is taking a while.
08:24White and Farrell turned to the girlfriend of the victim who was driving the car.
08:29Push off your boyfriend.
08:30Why wasn't he inside with you?
08:32He used to hang out with his friends a lot.
08:34And since I moved in with him, he hasn't hung out with them.
08:37So Derek called him and had asked him to hang out with him.
08:41That's why he was outside.
08:44Tell me what you heard happened.
08:47I heard a lot of gunshots.
08:50And then like a big crash.
08:52So then his dad came running into the room.
08:57He looked at the window and then he said somebody got shot.
09:09She says the Honda that the victims were shot in belongs to her.
09:14And then I went around and I seen that there was blood, but I didn't know where I was coming
09:19from.
09:22So when you go out there, was your boyfriend was even speaking?
09:26Mm-hmm.
09:26Okay.
09:27Was Jet speaking?
09:28Mm-hmm.
09:30Did the other two guys, did they happen to tell you who did this?
09:40Now, your boyfriend, who has he been having problems with?
09:45He has problems with a lot of people.
09:48Does he sell drugs?
09:51Yeah.
09:54They came and shot up his house two times.
10:13There was two shootings and they happened like really close together.
10:16How long ago?
10:18A month or two ago.
10:20Okay.
10:27Did his dad call the police and report him?
10:29Mm-hmm.
10:30Good.
10:31Did you hear him talking about those specific people today?
10:36No.
10:37But he was arguing with Seelock.
10:39She says her boyfriend was feuding with a man nicknamed Seelock.
10:45Who is Seelock?
10:48Seelock used to be his friend.
10:50Mm-hmm.
10:51But then I think he, Seelock tried to shoot him.
10:55I don't know why they got mad at each other.
10:57I don't know what happened.
10:59Okay.
11:00You don't know Seelock's real name?
11:02Mm, I don't.
11:04Do you know how much you're helping me right now?
11:06A lot, okay?
11:08And I appreciate you.
11:10Thank you so much, dear.
11:13Just sit tight and we'll get you out of here.
11:19She's a freaking superstar, man.
11:21She's a freaking superstar, man.
11:21Very helpful.
11:25This kid, he got his house shot up back in October.
11:29Lieutenant Brandon Watkins finds the police report from when the driver's apartment was shot up four months ago.
11:35He was inside his apartment.
11:38A group of people fired multiple times into the house and then fled.
11:44The shooters fled in a stolen vehicle.
11:47Got in a pursuit with police.
11:49Then abandoned the car and escaped on foot.
11:51A lot of stupidity going around here.
11:55Don't know that we have anybody ID'd as being the actual shooter, but let me print this out.
12:03All right, right on.
12:05Then I'll take the driver's girlfriend home.
12:07Then we'll start doing whatever we need to do next.
12:18What do you want to be when you grow up?
12:23Really?
12:24What kind of doctor?
12:26Like a heart doctor?
12:28Good for you.
12:30You know, I used to work in heart surgery.
12:32Yeah.
12:33Yeah, I was one of those people that slapped the instruments in the surgeon's hands.
12:37Yeah.
12:37Yeah.
12:39As horrible as this is, this might be an inspiration for you to work that much harder, you know?
12:45Good for you.
12:47All right, you take care, all right?
12:49If you have anything, you call me anytime.
12:57As day breaks.
13:01I'm getting old and this is hard to be up here late at night all night, you know?
13:07I'm thinking it's probably the same guys that shot up his apartment.
13:11But my gut is telling me this is personal.
13:15I mean, you know, hey, listen, we've got stuff to work with.
13:17We need to check on those guys at the hospital.
13:20But I want to strike while the iron's hot with respect to the video.
13:23Video is paramount.
13:31Eight hours in.
13:33I got that video.
13:35Detective Pablo Zuniga gets surveillance video from the complex where the shooting occurred.
13:40Pull this up.
13:44Our victim's car is back in there.
13:47The call came in at 129 this morning.
13:51Four minutes before the call to 911.
13:55The car just went flying down there.
14:00It's going to be a dark-colored sedan of some sort.
14:06Looks like a four-door.
14:10The car just did a U-E and came back.
14:15If you look at the corner of the video, the car stops.
14:20Yeah, that's definitely going to be it.
14:24Here we go.
14:25That's even bigger boy.
14:29He's a big boy.
14:30Yeah.
14:34Two people.
14:36The witness, she's on the money.
14:39He had a mask on.
14:41Oh, yeah.
14:54You look really close.
14:56Guy number two, you can see that he got in the back seat.
15:01The second shooter gets in the back seat of the suspect vehicle.
15:05Somebody to trust me.
15:07Yeah.
15:08I think there's probably somebody else there.
15:10They drove up there with a purpose and ticked off.
15:30We got a good video of the actual shooting itself.
15:33We got a good video of the actual shooting itself.
16:11Nobody's that stupid to take their own car over there and do that.
16:14Nobody's that stupid to take their own car over there and do that.
16:14I don't know.
16:15Yeah.
16:16You never know.
16:18You're looking at the video.
16:19I mean, that's the car.
16:20That's it.
16:21Good.
16:22Tell me who it is.
16:24Ward runs the tag number of the Black Altima, captured on license plate cameras.
16:30Christopher Achtun.
16:32Okay.
16:34A-J-T-U-N.
16:37Let's see here.
16:4018-year-old Christopher Achtun has no prior convictions.
16:44That's definitely a real strong candidate.
16:47We're getting really close, but I want to know more.
16:53Then...
16:54Hello?
16:55Is this detective?
16:56It is.
16:57A tipster calls in.
17:00Sir, the victim is one of the ones who survived.
17:02I talked to him, and he had told me what happened.
17:05He says he spoke to one of the surviving victims at the hospital.
17:10He told me that he knows who did it.
17:13Seelock is what they call him.
17:16I found him on Instagram, and someone commented his name.
17:19He says someone referred to Seelock as Chris in the comments of one of his Instagram posts.
17:26I got your picture of the guy, but I don't know his last name or nothing about him.
17:30Okay.
17:31Thanks for calling me.
17:32All right.
17:33Bye.
17:35Okay.
17:36The tipster sends the photo of Seelock he found on Instagram.
17:41And here he is.
17:43I think that's our Chris.
17:45Seelock is Christopher Achtun, the owner of the suspect vehicle.
17:50We're like a couple of pebbles away from having enough to find him and grab him.
17:56Hey, Matt.
17:58Let's run to the hospital and see if we can learn.
18:10Hey, buddy.
18:11My name is Jason White.
18:12I'm a homicide detective.
18:14No.
18:15Detectives interview the surviving victim, who spoke to the tipster.
18:20I'm really sorry.
18:21This is something you should never have to be a part of.
18:25Tell me what happened.
18:27I wasn't in the first seat.
18:29We were smoking.
18:31I just looked up when I saw him.
18:33So I even blew it all day down.
18:35And I just wish I was gone.
18:38Did he say anything?
18:40I don't think so.
18:41I think he just shot.
18:43Had you ever seen him before?
18:45Yeah, I seen him before.
18:47He goes by Seelock.
18:50This is White.
18:52He shows White the Instagram photo of Seelock.
18:54And says he learned his real name is Chris.
18:58Had you ever met him before?
19:01Yeah.
19:02He says a few weeks ago, he was hanging out at the apartment of the deceased victim who was in
19:07the driver's seat.
19:09Seelock came.
19:10When Chris showed up.
19:13He was up there yelling, come out, come out.
19:16I know you were my girl.
19:17They're basically beefing over a girl.
19:21He gives White the name of Chris's girlfriend.
19:24The girl just got in between and everything got bad.
19:28So after that, it all started getting, I feel like, hatred towards somebody.
19:34Do you have any questions for me?
19:37No, that's just a little girl.
19:39Well, you know what?
19:41With just like what you're doing right here, that helps me.
19:5212 hours in.
19:53He says that the one person to him looked just like Seelock, who he has learned is Chris.
20:01So that's good.
20:03That's good.
20:04We're going to go talk to this last shooting victim.
20:08Supposedly, he got released.
20:09And Margo sent the address.
20:12Hopefully, I can get some more info about the second guy.
20:20Okay.
20:27Hey.
20:28Hey, how are you, buddy?
20:29Early.
20:31All right. So, uh, where were you seated in the club?
20:35I was in the background.
20:37You know, chilling, listening to music.
20:39Mm-hmm.
20:40And, um, that's when the dude walked up, lifted up the gun and started shooting.
20:46Did you recognize him?
20:47Yeah.
20:49Seelock.
20:49That's all I know.
20:52Did you see anybody else with him?
20:54No.
20:54I just seen him.
20:57Man, I appreciate it.
20:58And I'm really thankful that you're alive.
21:00Me too.
21:08It feels like he TSD.
21:11You know, my neck got hit, and they missed my artery by like a millimeter.
21:17I was that close to dying.
21:21When I got out of the car, and she told my homies didn't get out, my friends were dying.
21:28That's really the hardest part of it.
21:32It doesn't even feel real.
21:36I text them still, sometimes.
21:41Just hoping they would respond one day.
21:45I don't know why anybody would want to take somebody else's life.
21:50I just want everybody out there to just get the guns down.
22:0213 hours into the investigation.
22:05We were able to get an identification on Chris at June.
22:11He's the only one that both of the surviving victims inside of the car actually got a look at.
22:16So that gives us more than enough for PC on him.
22:18White will put out a bolo for Chris Actun and his black Nissan Altima.
22:24Now the second guy, I don't know yet.
22:26But we've got one, and that's one is good.
22:36An hour later.
22:38He's westbound.
22:39I'm pretty sure it's him.
22:41Fugitive warrants officers spot Chris's Nissan Altima in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
22:46We're trying to get him to you.
22:48Copy, Adam.
22:54Right here.
22:57Jenny, I'll be behind you.
23:04Pull him over.
23:07Pulling over west.
23:09There we go.
23:19Get back home with your hands when officers can see you.
23:24He's got a gun done.
23:26He's reaching.
23:27He's reaching.
23:40Christopher, put the gun down.
23:42I want you to step outside.
23:44All we want to do is read your side of the story.
23:47As the driver steps out of the vehicle.
23:50I think it's just his hand.
23:52Raiden discovers he's holding a cell phone.
23:56He actually holds the gun to the dead.
23:58No, I think he's holding the cell phone, though.
24:01Well, it's backwards, dude.
24:03Not as a rebound.
24:04Stop.
24:06It's not even suspect.
24:08Christopher Octoon is not behind the wheel.
24:12It's dad, I think.
24:15We're checking him in the coast.
24:17We need to take him downtown and have someone talk to him as well.
24:28What a twist and a turn on this.
24:31It's not our target, Chris, but we've got the father down here.
24:37I don't think he speaks very good English, so we're going to have to do this translated-wise.
24:40But we're going to delicately get into it, and we'll see what goes from there.
24:57Detective Pablo Zuniga will translate.
25:04I don't know what my son did.
25:07OK, well, take a breath. Tranquillo, OK?
25:10I'm not suggesting that you do know, OK?
25:18We're both parents.
25:20My questions are super simple.
25:22Who is your son?
25:27OK, so last night, was he at home?
25:33OK, do you know where he was?
25:46He says he and his family came to the U.S. from Guatemala in search of a better life.
25:51Good. Good.
25:53OK.
25:54So last night, when did he actually take the car?
26:00What time did he bring the car back today?
26:05Did he come home alone?
26:09OK.
26:11Has he ever seen his son with any guns?
26:21He says, a few months ago, they discovered Chris had a gun, and they called Broken Arrow PD to come
26:27and confiscate it.
26:29Did your son ever talk about maybe making a mistake last night?
27:00OK.
27:04OK.
27:04Do you have any idea where he may be now?
27:11He says he dropped Chris off at his girlfriend's house around 10 a.m.
27:16Where does she live?
27:23He gives White the girlfriend's address.
27:27If he did something, I would be the one that would call the cops to let them know.
27:35Good.
27:36I want to commend you for being cooperative with us. We appreciate that very much.
27:50I think the dad's being genuine. I really do. He was crying pretty hard.
27:56I think we've sent on his girlfriend's apartment.
27:59Fugitive Warrants will keep eyes on Chris's girlfriend's apartment in hopes of locating him.
28:05We don't want it to end up in an armed and barricaded situation with him and his girlfriend.
28:09I mean, this guy's just, he's involved in a double murder, and his last days of freedom are over.
28:15We need him picked up.
28:26Two hours later, Christopher Octoon's family convinces him to turn himself in.
28:33I got to give his family some credit.
28:36They really were instrumental in making sure that this guy brought himself in and did it safely.
28:42Hey, Chris. My name's Jason White.
28:47The first thing I want to do is I want to congratulate you for making a good decision by coming
28:50down here.
28:51Thank you, sir.
28:52I met your dad. He loves you very much.
28:55Yes, sir, he does.
28:57He shared with me that you were starting to confide with him about making a mistake.
29:03Yeah.
29:04So, let's start off with just telling me kind of what started off last night.
29:18He says he spotted the man he's been feuding with, sitting in the driver's seat of a Honda Accord.
29:24I was freaking out, man. I was freaking out.
29:27My mind just went crazy and I was scared.
29:29Okay.
29:30But he was going to do so, so I just hopped down and I just ran and then boom, boom,
29:34boom, boom.
29:36I remember it's pointing into the trunk, not to the window.
29:40Okay.
29:41And then I just seen him like driving and boom, hit the wall and I was just like, oh, no.
29:47I wanted to help, but like I said, I was nervous.
29:52I just wanted to scare him off so he didn't do something to me.
29:57Did you see anybody else in the car?
29:59I just seen two in the front.
30:01I didn't notice there were four until like I heard there was four teenagers in there.
30:05He says he learned about the other two victims from social media.
30:09Was there some kind of drama that led you over there to begin with?
30:13This first started with my female.
30:16She was able to.
30:17He says six months ago, his girlfriend cheated on him with the victim that was in the driver's seat.
30:24And then I beat him up.
30:25And then he just going out saying I'm a bitch.
30:28And then he started saying that he was going to get me.
30:30He was going to do this to me.
30:35So when you saw him, why the heck didn't you just get the hell out of there and leave?
30:38I was nervous, man. I always felt like he was going to get me soon.
30:41So I was like, if I don't do my chance right now, then soon I'm going to be dead.
30:49This is going to be a tough question for you.
30:50I mean, were you alone or were you with somebody when this thing happened?
30:54I was with someone.
30:57Okay, good, because I already knew that.
30:59Who?
31:16Angel.
31:18Angel Barra.
31:21Angel Barra.
31:22Yeah.
31:23We got together because it was his birthday.
31:31Angel Barra.
31:33Ward searches the database for the second shooter.
31:37He's got to trace his profile.
31:4019 year old Angel Barra has a previous conviction for carrying a firearm under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
31:47He's had several contacts with us.
31:50Ward finds body cam footage of Ibarra recorded at a traffic stop.
31:54Let me clip it.
31:56And texts the photo to Farrell.
32:03Who's this?
32:04Oh, yeah, that's him.
32:06He's the guy that was with you?
32:07Yeah.
32:07And he shot just right along with you?
32:09Yeah.
32:11Was there anybody else in the car?
32:13No, just the two.
32:14There's cameras up and down there.
32:15You sure?
32:16Yeah.
32:17Nobody driving?
32:18I was the one driving.
32:20Okay.
32:22Did you ever shoot his apartment up previously?
32:25Oh, no.
32:29All right, buddy.
32:29Hey, I do appreciate you turning yourself in.
32:31That's the...
32:32That was the right decision.
32:35Can I get a hug, man?
32:37You want a hug?
32:39Man, I'll tell you what, I'm gonna shake your hand.
32:42I'm proud of you for coming up here.
32:44That means a lot, okay?
32:46Sit tight.
32:53Man, we couldn't have asked for anything better today.
32:56I didn't anticipate him coming in here and telling us what happened.
33:00That's a good deal.
33:01One in custody, another one identified.
33:05Angel, I don't have probable cause to be able to make an arrest.
33:08We can't just go specifically on the main defendant's testimony alone.
33:14We're gonna have to find some people to corroborate his story.
33:17I just have this feeling that he's not being completely honest.
33:20And one of the things that I think he's leaving out is I think that there's additional people in the
33:24car.
33:25All right, we're gonna have to call me.
33:26Sir, you're gonna have to do it, sir.
33:27The number one priority tomorrow is gonna be to go talk to Chris's girlfriend.
33:32Chris told us during the interview that the driver of the car that's dead,
33:36he was having sex with Chris's girlfriend.
33:39I think that the main reason for this whole thing is the girlfriend situation.
33:43She was there that night.
33:45And she made us flat out tell us, yeah, it's Angel.
33:59The next day.
34:01Detective Zuniga brought Chris's girlfriend down here so I can interview her.
34:05And she had her cousin with her.
34:08And the cousin may be an eyewitness as well.
34:11We'll talk to the cousin first.
34:16My name's Jason White.
34:20Tell me about what happened that night.
34:23We were drinking, of course.
34:25I was in the vehicle.
34:26She says she was hanging out with her cousin at a taco truck down the street from the crime scene.
34:32Angel, he comes in the car. He's drunk. I mean, really drunk.
34:37He had his gun on him.
34:39Oh.
34:39He was like, slurring his words.
34:42He was trying to hit on me and I was just like-
34:44Angel?
34:44Yeah, Angel, he brought it.
34:46What was he wearing?
34:48A black piggy and black jeans.
34:50Okay.
34:51Well, how many guys were in the car?
34:53Four.
34:55Angel, Chris, and two other guys.
34:57I don't know their names.
34:59When they went and we heard the gunshots, I'm just like, in shock.
35:04And I'm just like, we need to go home.
35:07Yeah.
35:09Were you at the apartment when Chris ended up coming over?
35:11Did they turn himself in?
35:12Yeah.
35:13Yes.
35:15Let's talk.
35:16My cousin, Chris, would like-
35:19She was her cheating on him.
35:21Didn't let her go out.
35:22He didn't trust her. He would go out with like family.
35:24Yeah.
35:24Just like a toxic boyfriend.
35:26Yeah.
35:27Did not like him.
35:29He asked you.
35:30I'm like, if you get interrogated, whatever you know, you need to tell them.
35:36Very good.
35:37I'm glad to meet you because you seem like you got your head screwed on, right?
35:41I'm going to deal with her and then we'll get you on the way.
35:44Sit tight.
35:54Okay.
35:56Game time.
35:57We're going to make this case even better.
36:03All right.
36:05White and Zuniga turned to Chris's girlfriend, who was accompanied by her mother.
36:10I talked to your cousin.
36:11She's a very nice girl.
36:13She said that she was there that night with you.
36:16And she had indicated to me that she saw the three other people that were in the car with Chris.
36:24Who all was in the car?
36:27Angel.
36:28Who is this?
36:46Angel.
36:46He was the main one that was like, let's go do it.
36:49And then Chris was like, let's go.
36:58And then Chris was like, let's go.
37:00All right.
37:01Who else was in the car with him?
37:04She gives White the names of the other two people who were in the car.
37:09Is there anything else that I need to know?
37:11No.
37:12Okay.
37:13You done with him and take him back home?
37:15Yeah.
37:16And thank you so much.
37:18Mucho gusto.
37:18Mucho gusto.
37:22We have Ibarra identified.
37:24That's what we needed.
37:25It corroborates what Chris said.
37:27And that gives us the probable cause to be able to make an arrest.
37:31As far as I'm concerned, everybody in that car is just as guilty as the other one.
37:35I don't care who pulled the trigger.
37:37I think that they all knew what was going to happen.
37:40But as it stands right now, the second guy is going to be Angel Ibarra.
37:45And we'll get a warrant out on him as soon as possible.
37:47And hopefully we're not going to be on a manhunt.
37:49Hopefully we're able to get a hold of him relatively quickly.
37:59As the clock winds down.
38:02We'll put surveillance on just so we can have an idea of the comments and goings.
38:07Yeah, that sounds good.
38:10Detectives in the Fugitive Lawrence unit scour the city for Angel Ibarra.
38:18Thanks for the help, man. I appreciate it.
38:20But he's nowhere to be found.
38:35Two months after Jet Brummett and the three other victims were gunned down.
38:40Angel Ibarra is down in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
38:44Homeland Security investigators track Angel Ibarra to Aguascalientes, Mexico and take him into custody.
38:51That's great.
38:52Now the next phase is going to be, we'll bring him back.
38:55We want to give him this chance to tell a story.
38:58And we'll go from there.
39:07Three months later.
39:10We're going to go meet Angel and see if Angel is willing to give us a statement.
39:14Angel Ibarra is finally extradited to the Tulsa County Jail.
39:18I'm not incredibly optimistic, but you never know.
39:28I'm going to give this a 15% chance.
39:31Yes.
39:35Minutes later.
39:39All right.
39:41We met Angel.
39:43He said his attorney told him he's not to talk.
39:47I said, OK, fine.
39:48Here's my business card in case you change your mind.
39:51But I think that the case is really rock solid.
39:56Chris told us what's up.
39:57I've got eyewitnesses that are out there that saw Angel go over there with them right before this.
40:04So we did talk to the two other people that were inside of the car.
40:07One of them is 16 years old.
40:09He ended up admitting to handing the gun to Chris, knowing that Chris was going to use this gun.
40:15Based on his statements and him providing the gun, he's looking at felony murder.
40:20The fourth individual, he just happened to be in the car at the time of this situation.
40:25So he's somebody that I think is going to make for a decent witness.
40:30I couldn't ask for a better case because I've got people that are involved that have already told us up
40:34and they're trying to save themselves.
40:37You know, this kid, Jet Brumman, had nothing to do with any of this drama.
40:41He's literally an absolute innocent victim.
40:44It's tragic.
40:48You know, I got to call the families.
40:51I hope that they feel that they've received justice.
40:56I don't know that you can really ever say that they get closure, but I think that they're going to
41:00feel like they got their day in court.
41:02And that's what I hope at the end of the day.
41:19You know, this is in the middle of the day.
41:4130 miles away in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
41:45It's not been six months, and it's hard.
41:50Jet was always happy.
41:53He could make friends wherever he went.
41:56He was supposed to graduate this year,
41:59and he talked about joining the military.
42:04He was just a good kid, 18 years old.
42:07It's like a piece of your heart taking.
42:11What was a 16-year-old doing with guns
42:15and passing them out is what I'd like to know.
42:18I mean, now all these lives are never going to be the same.
42:25They took a big part of our lives
42:29because everybody loved Jet, and we all miss him.
42:33He didn't deserve any of this.
