00:11Robert Smith has been residing in Queensland while he awaits his trial for five counts of the war
00:17crime of murder. He strenuously denies the allegations which are alleged to have occurred
00:23during his service in Afghanistan. He served for six tours of duty between 2006 and 2013
00:31and was deployed for a lot of that time as a member of the elite SAS regiment.
00:37He was awarded the Medal for Gallantry in 2006 and the Victoria Cross for Australia in 2010,
00:44making him Australia's most decorated living soldier.
00:49Anzac Day is not about one individual or an individual battle or even a war.
00:56It is about acknowledging those that when asked answered a nation's call
01:02to defend this country in the hope that they were making it a better place.
01:09This Anzac Day, I would like to thank all of the servicemen and women,
01:14the veterans and their families, and the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
01:20So, it's been amazing.
01:22If we're first done, you can see the trees of the jesuits and stuff like that.
01:24We just saw the trees of the Давайте Palace in Rio.
01:25I really did not see them.
