00:00A young dervish had been praying for years.
00:03But there was no peace in his heart.
00:05He often prayed.
00:06O Allah, show me such a person
00:09Who teaches me the path to your knowledge
00:11One day while traveling, he reached the bank of a river.
00:15There he saw an old man
00:17Green-clad people are silently watching the water.
00:21The young man approached and greeted.
00:23The elder answered and asked
00:25What do you want?
00:27The young man said politely.
00:29I wanted to know Allah.
00:31People say you are Hazrat Khidr.
00:34Tell me a secret.
00:35Hazrat Khidr (peace be upon him) took him to the bank of the river and said:
00:40Look at this water and tell me what you see.
00:44The young man looked at the river for a while and then said,
00:48It is always flowing, never stopping.
00:50Hazrat Khidr (peace be upon him) said:
00:53Whoever wants to reach Allah
00:56It has to be like a river.
00:58There will be obstacles along the way.
01:00But he doesn't learn to stop.
01:02Keeps moving forward.
01:04Then he picked up a stone and threw it into the water.
01:07The waves rose and after a while the river became calm again.
01:11Khidr (peace be upon him) said:
01:13Even the heart of a believer is tested.
01:16So the waves rise.
01:17But if the heart is connected to Allah
01:20So he quickly finds peace.
01:22The young man listened silently.
01:24Then he asked.
01:26And what is the secret to being close to Allah?
01:28Hazrat Khidr (peace be upon him) pointed towards the river.
01:32And he said
01:33The river gives its water to everyone.
01:36No one stops.
01:38The servant who desires to be close to Allah
01:40He also has to cultivate generosity and generosity in his heart.
01:44Tears welled up in the young man's eyes.
01:47When he looked up again
01:49So Hazrat Khidr (peace be upon him) was not present there.
01:52Only the river was flowing.
01:54As if you were silently listening to this lesson.
01:57That the way to reach Allah
02:00It passes through patience and forbearance.
