00:00And in Grenada, officially launched a month-long campaign to support Cuba as the island faces heightened pressure from the
00:08United States.
00:09The campaign titled Grateful Grenada Gives Back to Cuba, who will run from April 14th to May 14th, 2026.
00:15The start date carries deep meaning.
00:17It marks 47 years since the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between Cuba and Grenada on April 14th, 1979.
00:24The U.S. aims to raise funds and mobilize critical supplies, particularly in the health and energy sectors, which have
00:31been severely affected by the intensified U.S. economic blockade.
00:38The truth is, I think we have a moral responsibility to ensure that the Cubans who have been put into
00:47this really unlikely, this almost unimaginable position,
00:54we have a responsibility to use our strength, our abilities, to ensure that the challenges are mitigated and as close
01:03as possible the resources be returned to the Cubans so that they can live,
01:10basically living, having food, having health care, being able to move from point A to point B, going to school,
01:17having entertainment, just basic human needs.
