00:02let's take you to the other day's news now and in New South Wales four people have been taken to
00:07hospital after a house fire in the Blue Mountains our reporter Max Tillman joins us now from Sydney
00:13Max good morning what do we know at this stage good morning well what we do know is that two
00:20people remain unaccounted for following that blaze in Bowen Mountain about an hour and 15
00:26north of Sydney at about 2 a.m yesterday that's when the Royal Fire Service first received that
00:35call about a two-story home well alight on Lieutenant Bowen Drive itself about 70 kilometers northwest of
00:43the Sydney CBD what we understand is when emergency services arrived on the scene they found that home
00:50well alight this prompted an enormous response from emergency services we had fire and rescue
00:55New South Wales the rural fire service as well as the New South Wales police and New South Wales
01:01ambulance on the scene now the latest information that we do have from the New South Wales police is
01:07they believe five people were able to escape that blaze four people were hospitalized we understand
01:14from New South Wales ambulance that those include a man in his 30s a man in his late teens and
01:21two
01:21primary school aged boys however the emergency services have made clear that the search does
01:27remain ongoing for what they believe to be two remaining occupants of that home now we've heard from
01:34the RFS this morning that one thing that may potentially hamper that ongoing search is the state of the home
01:41itself we understand that the blaze was brought under control at about 4 a.m this morning but there does
01:47appear to be roof collapsing which will naturally make that fire ground dangerous for crews as they
01:54continue that search and rescue operation we'll be bringing you all the latest updates as they come in
