00:53A mysterious criminal who calls himself the Eagle
00:57is plotting against the directors of an airplane factory
01:01whom he has tried to frighten with warnings
01:04written on the sky in smoke and fire.
01:07The directors have reason to suspect
01:10that the Eagle is Nathan Gregory,
01:12owner of a small carnival show,
01:15who has accused them of stealing from him
01:17an invention that is worth a fortune.
01:20Craig McCoy, stunt flyer with the carnival,
01:24discovers that the patent on which the directors
01:27base their claim to the invention
01:28was sold to them by a mechanic named Kelly,
01:32a former employee of Gregory's,
01:35who is now in jail,
01:36charged with having murdered one of the directors.
01:40Gregory's daughter, Jean,
01:41pleads the prisoner, Kelly,
01:43to tell the truth and clear her father.
01:46Pat, are you sure you're telling the truth?
01:53My father's whole future depends on what you tell now, Pat.
01:59All right.
02:01I'll tell everything I know.
02:05I did tell the plans to Greene.
02:07What?
02:10There was another man who knew about it.
02:12And he, and he's been trying to cash in on it.
02:15Who was it, Kelly?
02:17Speak up, Pat.
02:17You've got to tell us.
02:25I'm signing my own death warrant.
02:30Well, I'll tell for you, Skipper.
02:33The man is...
02:47The shot came through that window.
02:49You two men get out of the back way.
02:52Get Gene out of here, quick.
03:03Well, go on, Pat.
03:04What about Danby?
03:06Danby.
03:07Well, go on, Pat.
03:12You get some bandage in,
03:13I'll phone the doctor.
03:15Okay.
03:53He's gone.
04:09Turn him loose, Henry.
04:11Turn him loose? Why?
04:12He's the Eagle.
04:13He can't be. He was in the jail when the shot was fired.
04:23He was in the jail.
04:23Kelly wasn't killed. He's made his getaway, you know.
04:25He'll probably head for the carnival grounds.
04:26You get out there and hide him. He's still in danger.
04:28Yeah, listen. What are you going to do?
04:30I'm going to the factory and wring the truth out of Danby.
04:37Evans Airplane Factory, quick!
04:56Find anyone?
04:57No.
04:57Officer's. Look!
05:19You're not my friend.
05:25Look! Something's wrong with the plane.
05:52I don't know.
06:05I'm going to try and find that plane.
06:14Faye, someone just phoned in that plane made a forced landing out by the country club.
06:18Come on.
06:34We have greed.
06:35We've got to work fast.
06:37You two follow that police car.
06:39Okay.
06:40Moore, you come with me to the factory.
06:42We've got to stop McCoy.
06:43Come on.
07:18We've got to stop McCoy.
07:20Look, Mr. President.
07:22Let's see.
07:29Get a doctor quick!
07:33Thank you!
08:31Keep quiet and everything will be all right. Otherwise, it'll be just too bad for you.
08:41Hello? Give me Mr. Danby's office, please.
08:49Danby speaking.
08:52Why, uh, Mr. Ward has charge of the boiler room. Call him.
08:55Well, I can't locate Mr. Ward, and something's got to be done quick.
08:59All right. I'll come down.
09:05Don't you never think of nothing?
09:07Don't stand there like a dummy.
09:10Get over to the factory and tell Craig what happened.
09:22McCoy.
09:27What's this all about?
09:29Never mind that. Kelly gave me the lowdown on you. You're coming through right now.
09:36All right.
09:39How much?
09:41What do you mean, Danby?
09:43If nothing but money will stop the eagle's crimes, I'm willing to pay my share.
09:48Oh, I don't want any money.
09:51What do you want, then?
09:53I want information. Information that'll help me capture the eagle and put us top to his crimes.
09:58You mean to say Gregory is not the eagle?
10:00Haven't I been telling you so all along?
10:03Gregory has been risking his life to find out who's at the bottom of this blackmailing scheme against you and
10:07the rest of the directors.
10:09Well, if Gregory isn't the eagle, who is?
10:11Well, it's one of the directors of the company.
10:13Clark knew which one it was and was on the verge of telling when the eagle killed him.
10:18I was in hopes that you knew something about it.
10:21I do know something.
10:24There's one man I'm suspicious of.
10:27Who's that?
10:29I don't like to make such a charge against anyone without more proof.
10:33You wait here while I do a little investigating.
10:37Frank, I tell you, you can't get in here.
10:39But they wouldn't let me in the front office.
10:41Why then, stay out of here.
10:46Good afternoon, Mr. Ames.
10:48Hello, Frank.
10:54Leave the gate a minute, Frank, and come over here quick.
10:57Yes, Mr. Ames.
11:02What is it, Mr. Ames?
11:04What do you mean, Frank?
11:06Why?
11:06Didn't you call me?
11:08Why, you're dreaming this afternoon.
11:17Hey, you.
11:18You can't come in here.
11:19Get out of here.
11:19What did I tell you?
11:20Come on.
11:21Come on.
11:31Henry.
11:33Kelly's at the carnival, all right, but he won't talk.
11:35Why not?
11:36Why, he's scared stiff.
11:54Gene and the skipper haven't shown up at the carnival yet.
12:05Hello?
12:06Come up to room 204.
12:08Yes, 204.
12:09I found the proof.
12:11I'm sure of it now.
12:13He's the man I suspected.
12:14He is, uh...
12:16Hello?
12:22Come on, Henry.
12:23Come on, Henry.
12:31Here, I have a key.
12:32All right.
12:44What are you doing here?
12:46I just heard the attack on Danby over the phone.
12:48He found out who the Eagle is.
12:50Whose office is this?
12:51This is Mr. Evans' office.
12:52Surely you don't think that...
12:53What else can we think?
12:54Don't let Evans leave the building.
12:55I believe you're right.
12:56We can't afford to take any chances.
12:58Get more men.
12:59Search the building.
12:59Question everyone.
13:00Come on, McCoy.
13:03Henry and I will wait here in case he comes back.
13:06This is all a blind.
13:08Somebody's trying to put the blame on Evans.
13:10Danby phoned from 204 and this is 206.
13:15This is 204.
13:26Hello.
13:27You better get the plane away quick.
13:29The cops are down there now.
13:35Now this proves that neither Mark Fallin or Craig did the skywriting.
13:40It's a radio controlled plane.
13:44Yeah, Gregory and his daughter are there too.
13:50You better act quick.
13:52The girl is in the plane now fooling with the control board.
14:03Go please.
14:04Go.
14:24Hello.
14:25Is Craig McCoy there?
14:27This is McCoy.
14:29Can you see a plane through the window from where you are, McCoy?
14:33Yes, I can see it.
14:34That plane contains a friend of yours.
14:38Miss Jean Gregory.
14:40Oh, yeah?
14:41Well, I happen to know that Miss Gregory can't fly a plane.
14:44She doesn't have to fly this one.
14:47It's controlled by radio.
14:49I'm sending it up, McCoy.
14:51Up 5,000 feet above your carnival.
14:54And then it's coming down in a depth fund.
14:58300 miles an hour.
15:00When it hits...
15:01Stall him as long as you can.
15:05Where's the call in room 206 coming from?
15:09From the laboratory on the roof.
15:11Thanks.
15:15Don't let him get away.
15:51You're on the back.
15:52See my doctor.
15:56Have I ever seen anything?
15:57I'm happy.
15:59You're not.
16:04I'm not.
16:05I saw my friend.
16:05I saw my friend.
16:05I saw my friend.
16:06I thought I was.
16:06I saw him and I saw him once again.
16:08I saw him.
16:09I saw him.
