00:00I think that women suffer from this idea of like scarcity or have that point of view because it's
00:05been real for so long. It's not something we made up in our heads and was like this is the
00:09better
00:09way to live. We were like wait a minute there is only one opportunity. I sit on this board and
00:13there's one lady there. Right. So it's me against the other lady. Yeah it's very clear that like we
00:17are being pit against each other as you've discussed in the book. And in the book I talk
00:21about this because I feel like so many people will know like I've been in professional situations in
00:25my life where I've had female bosses and the female bosses have pitted the younger girls
00:31against each other. I remember this one job that I had which was so gnarly where everybody would
00:36fight for the like you know the plum assignment the good job and there were two people at my level
00:42and it was literally like we were in the Hunger Games. We were we were against each other. And it's
00:47like for what for another person's company. Right like for someone else to like watch us scrap this
00:52and you know be able to ring us out quite literally. And I remember going to this girl
00:57Lauren and I was like listen like I am not about this life. What about you take one I take
01:01one we
01:01give one to the other girl and we be done with this game. And actually we can be mates because
01:06you can
01:06help me and I can help you. So when you like burst the spell when you when you understand these
01:12notions
01:13of things that are yes their thoughts they exist in the culture they exist in your mind you might even
01:17have examples of when they've happened to you. There is a new way to think about these things.
01:21There is a new framing and I just wanted to give that framing. I wanted people to understand that just
01:27because something has been a certain way or you've been told it it doesn't need to be like that.
