00:29We discovered this tree when the forest team were out and about working with Lizzie and Peter on the trail
00:37to link to the stories in each of the books.
00:41And this crabapple tree is the only pollarded crabapple tree as far as we know in Epping Forest.
00:47And so it was the similarities between the picture here and the features with the tree were spotted from the,
00:54is it the lard of the winery at the bottom?
00:59With the trink sparrows and then up through the shape of the tree and up even to the gap up
01:06here which can be seen further up.
01:08And it's testament really to her illustration that we were able to recognise the tree out of all these thousands
01:14of trees here and match up this illustration to the tree itself.
01:20And the tree is over 300 years old, probably a lot more, but it's 50 years since she first roughly
01:28sketched this and photographed this.
01:30We know that from the photographs that we got over in the visitor centre in the exhibition.
01:36So, um, it's really lovely that we can now relate this picture to this tree and allow a lot more
01:45families and children to be inspired by what she drew.
01:49She used to live just around the corner from here.
01:52Um, so, uh, she would have walked through here doing sketches and photographs.
01:56She would have walked through to the clue, as if it was the window, or what was it, yes it,
02:01it is, yeah, because if you get down, yeah, so that, that's the sort of thing that would make the
02:07really good story.
02:08Shall I, I point to it up here and then move it in front to it on the, look.
02:15It's just unfortunate that we can just say, I look too close to it, I can't be here, but I
02:19think I look too close to it, I can't be here, but I think I look too close to it.
02:24Mmm, this is so many different answers.
02:30I can see.
02:34Oh yeah, I love that.
02:35Ok, so nice to see you.
02:48Ok, so nice to see you too.
02:49Ok, so nice to see you too, thank you too.
02:52Yes, you too.
02:54You
