About:
Logan is a 2017 American superhero film starring Hugh Jackman as the titular character. It is the tenth film in the X-Men film series and the third and final installment in the Wolverine trilogy following X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and The Wolverine (2013). The film, which takes inspiration from "Old Man Logan" by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven, based in a bleak future, follows an aged Wolverine and an extremely ill Charles Xavier who defends a young mutant named Laura from the villainous Reavers led by Donald Pierce and Zander Rice. The film is produced by 20th Century Fox, Marvel Entertainment, TSG Entertainment and The Donners'

Company, and distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is directed by James Mangold, who co-wrote the screenplay with Michael Green and Scott Frank, from a story by Mangold. In addition to Jackman, the film also stars Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, and Dafne Keen. Principal photography began in Louisiana on May 2, 2016, and wrapped on August 13, 2016, in New Mexico. The locations used for Logan were mainly in Louisiana, New Mexico, and Mississippi.

Logan premiered at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival on February 17, 2017, and was theatrically released in the United States on March 3, 2017, in IMAX and standard formats. The film received critical acclaim, with praise going to its screenplay, acting (particularly that of Jackman, Stewart, and Keen), direction, action sequences, emotional depth, and departure from traditional superhero films. It became the best-reviewed film in the X-Men franchise, with many critics calling it one of the greatest superhero films ever made, and it was selected by the National Board of Review as one of the top ten films of 2017. It was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 90th Academy Awards, becoming the first live-action superhero film ever to be nominated for screenwriting. It grossed over $619 million worldwide and became the third-highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.

00:05It looks like there have been a bunch of rumors floating around lately about the MCU's
00:09X-Men reboot, and one of the biggest talking points is a brand new Wolverine solo movie
00:14possibly being in development at Marvel Studios.
00:17And that's not all.
00:19Alongside that, there's also been a wave of casting speculation which has only made
00:23fans more curious and excited.
00:25So let's dive into everything that's being talked about right now and try to piece together
00:29what this could mean for the future of Wolverine in the MCU.
00:33Wolverine has always been one of Marvel's most popular and recognizable characters because
00:44he brings a mix of raw aggression, emotional depth, and that mysterious past that keeps
00:48coming back to haunt him.
00:50For years, Hugh Jackman has defined the role, and honestly it's hard to imagine anyone else
00:55stepping into those claws.
00:56His run as Logan has lasted around 26 years, which is kind of insane when you think about
01:01it, because very few actors have stayed connected to a single superhero role for that long.
01:06Even though fans love his version, it also creates a challenge because whoever comes next
01:11will automatically be compared to him.
01:14But the MCU is clearly moving toward its own mutant saga, and because of that, a recast
01:19feels inevitable.
01:20Even though it's a tough task, it's also an opportunity, because a reboot means they
01:25can start fresh and explore Wolverine in ways that haven't been fully done before.
01:30Because Logan is such a layered character, the actor who plays him needs more than just physical
01:35presence.
01:36They need intensity, emotional range, and the ability to balance rage with vulnerability.
01:41There are already a bunch of names being discussed as potential candidates.
01:46Some are obvious picks, while others are more unexpected but still interesting.
01:50Take Jack Rayner, for example.
01:52He's not the first name that comes to mind for Wolverine, but that's kind of what makes
01:57him intriguing.
01:58He's shown his range in projects like Midsommar and Sing Street, and he's also been part of
02:03big-budget action films like Transformers Age of Extinction.
02:07He's not overly associated with one type of role, but he could bring a fresh energy to
02:11Logan, even though he doesn't immediately scream Wolverine.
02:15Then there's Michelle Huseman, who many people recognize from Game of Thrones.
02:20He stepped into a major role there and handled it well, which already shows he can deal with
02:25pressure.
02:26His performances in The Haunting of Hill House and Rebel Moon also prove that he can balance
02:31emotional storytelling with action-heavy scenes.
02:34Wolverine needs both of those elements, and Huseman could actually be a stronger choice
02:39than people expect.
02:40Another name that keeps coming up is Charlie Hunnam.
02:43He's already got that rugged look and has proven himself in roles like Sons of Anarchy and
02:48The Gentleman.
02:49He can handle intense, gritty characters, which fits Wolverine perfectly.
02:53But there are a couple of concerns, because he's a bit older and his accent can sometimes
02:58stand out.
02:59Even though those things could be adjusted, there's still factors that might influence
03:03casting decisions.
03:05Josh Segarra is another interesting option, especially because he already has some experience
03:10in the superhero space through Arrow and even a role in She-Hulk Attorney at Law.
03:15He's got the physical presence and isn't too overexposed, which could actually work in
03:20his favor.
03:21Even though he's technically already appeared in the MCU, the multiverse concept makes it
03:26possible for actors to return in completely different roles, so that doesn't really shut
03:30the door on him.
03:32But one of the most talked about possibilities is Daphne Keen.
03:36She already played Laura, also known as X-23, in Logan and returned in Deadpool and Wolverine.
03:42Her character is directly connected to Logan, so it actually makes a lot of sense for her
03:47to take on the mantle.
03:48Even though it would shift away from a traditional reboot, it would still feel natural, because
03:53the comics have already explored this idea.
03:56Speaking of comics, this is where things get really interesting, because the MCU reboot has
04:01a chance to pull from some powerful Wolverine storylines to build something fresh.
04:06One storyline that could work really well is Return of the Native.
04:10It focuses on a mysterious figure from Wolverine's past, who comes back into his life, which instantly
04:16adds emotional weight.
04:17At the same time, it brings in Sabretooth, one of Wolverine's most iconic enemies.
04:23Wolverine's past is always catching up with him, and this kind of story fits perfectly into
04:27his character.
04:28Even though the original comic story might need expansion for a movie, the core idea is strong
04:34enough to build on.
04:35Then there's the all-new Wolverine run, which introduces Laura Kinney as the new Wolverine.
04:41This storyline is important, because it shows that the mantle isn't limited to just Logan.
04:46Laura brings her own personality, her own struggles, and her own style to the role.
04:51Because of that, the MCU could use this storyline as a blueprint for a new direction.
04:56It would allow them to move forward without constantly being compared to Hugh Jackman's version,
05:01even though his legacy would still be respected.
05:04And that's really the key here.
05:06A reboot doesn't mean forgetting what came before, it means building on it while also
05:10doing something different.
05:12If the MCU tries to copy the old version too closely, it might feel repetitive.
05:17But if they take inspiration from the comics and create a new take, it could actually feel
05:21refreshing.
05:22Of course, not every rumor turns out to be true.
05:25For example, Daniel Radcliffe was heavily rumored to be in the running for Wolverine at one point,
05:30but he later clarified that it was never real and that no official talks ever happened.
05:35Even though he said he found the idea flattering, he also admitted that following Hugh Jackman
05:40isn't something he's actively aiming for.
05:42That kind of honesty actually shows how big of a responsibility the role is, because it's
05:47not just another superhero part.
05:49At the same time, Radcliffe did mention that if a script was unique and exciting enough,
05:55he'd consider it, and that says a lot about what this reboot needs to succeed.
05:59It's not just about casting the right actor, even though that's important, it's also about
06:04telling a story that feels different, because audiences have already seen a lot of Wolverine
06:09over the years.
06:09When you put everything together, it feels like the MCU has a real opportunity here.
06:14They can either play it safe and stick close to what's already been done, or they can take
06:19risks and explore new directions using comic storylines that haven't been fully adapted yet.
06:25Wolverine is such a complex character, and there's still a lot of ground left to cover.
06:30Even though fans are understandably attached to Hugh Jackman's version, the idea of a new
06:35Wolverine doesn't have to be a bad thing.
06:37In fact, it could open the door to new stories, new relationships, and even new perspectives on
06:43what the character represents.
06:45And because the MCU is known for long-term storytelling, they have the time to develop this version properly
06:52instead of rushing it.
06:53So, while nothing has been officially confirmed yet, the rumors alone are enough to get people talking.
06:59Whether it ends up being one of the rumored actors or someone completely unexpected, one thing is clear.
07:06Wolverine is coming back in a big way.
07:08If Marvel handles it right, this reboot could end up being one of the most important parts of the entire
07:13mutant saga.
