00:25The Sea King was a widower, but his aged mother managed the household with care.

00:32She was a wise woman, proud of her noble birth, and she tended the upbringing of the king's six daughters.

00:41Each mermaid princess was born one year apart, the youngest being the most beautiful of all.

00:49Her skin was as clear and delicate as a rose petal, her eyes as blue as the deepest sea.

00:57Yet unlike her sisters, she had no finery of pearls and jewels.

01:02Instead, she wore only a wreath of fresh white lilies, for each petal seemed to reflect the gentle beauty of

08:13Here, the mermen and mermaids twined and spun, their hair streaming behind them.
