00:40The musician's family confirmed his passing in a statement to People, sharing their deep and profound sadness.
00:46A spokesperson for Mason's loved ones wrote that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee,
00:50celebrated songwriter, musician, singer, and author passed away peacefully at his home
00:55in Gardnerville, Nevada.
00:57Dave Mason lived a remarkable life, devoted to the music and the people he loved.
01:01The guitarist is survived by his wife, Winifred Wilson, and daughter Danielle,
01:06as well as several nieces and nephews.
01:08His cause of death is not yet known, but the news comes after ongoing health concerns in recent years.
01:13Most recently in 2024, he developed a severe infection he was still courageously battling the following year.
01:19Lastly, Hulk Hogan revealed that he contemplated suicide after his split from ex-wife Linda Hogan.
