00:01Several of the attendees of the NFL Draft were taking part in an event up in New York City today,
00:06and NBC4 was there.
00:08I'd imagine it was our guy Chris Kerwin, who works the camera, was just here at the station
00:12doing a story on the Junkies very recently.
00:14But because of that, we've got some audio of those players
00:18talking about what it would mean to play for Washington,
00:21the possibility of becoming commanders.
00:22So I wanted to go through some of these and just react to these.
00:25Let's start with Sonny Stiles.
00:26He's the dream for a lot of commanders fans.
00:29Inside linebacker, you could then move Leo Chennault around,
00:31have him be flexible, play a little more of the role he played in Kansas City.
00:35You can imagine Stiles and Chennault and Lou Vu cross-bucket and Blitzen from the second level.
00:40That's the most athletic linebacker core ever.
00:42That's your Avengers linebackers.
00:43It's pretty crazy.
00:44This is Stiles on the commanders.
00:46Yeah, Coach Quinn was awesome.
00:49LB coach, Coach Norton, he was great.
00:51I got to learn a little bit of a history about him.
00:53I knew he played, but I didn't know everything about him.
00:55So that was awesome to learn.
00:57And then, obviously, Coach DJ, Mr. Peters, everyone was good.
01:01I think the biggest thing that stands out when you walk in the building is just great energy,
01:05great people.
01:06So I enjoyed my time there.
01:08I think, obviously, when you go in that building, everyone's driven.
01:13Everyone's obsessed with getting to the highest point in the league.
01:17But like I said, I think the most important thing is good people in the building.
01:21It stands out no matter who you're talking to.
01:23It's a bunch of great people in that building.
01:25I'm sure 10 years ago when it was Bruce Allen doing these interviews, a player would have had a similar
01:29answer about his time in the building.
01:31Because they don't know any different.
01:32They don't know what a building looks like when it's good or bad in the NFL.
01:35And my guess is there's a Falcons-based content-driven station in Atlanta right now that's playing a clip from
01:43Sonny Stiles saying what it would be like to be in Atlanta.
01:45And it sounds kind of similar.
01:45Be a dream come true.
01:46But I do like hearing that.
01:48I like when he's name-checking all their coaches, the fact that he knows by name the general manager, the
01:53head coach, the linebackers coach,
01:55all the way down to the assistant position group coach that he'd be working with.
01:59He's done his due diligence.

02:05He has long been considered just one of the higher character guys at the top of the board to go
02:09along with the athleticism and all the traits.
02:11He had all of two missed tackles at Ohio State last year.
