00:00We start in Philadelphia with Alec Boehm. I don't know what's going on in this guy's personal life
00:04now, but entering into the season, you have a chance coming up on your free agency year to say,
00:08you know what, I'm going to put up really good statistics and make a lot of money.
00:12So coming into the year, you got Scott Boris as your agent, you're feeling good. Then all of a
00:15sudden, we have the off the field turmoil where Alec Boehm and his parents are in a struggle for
00:20money. We'll get that into just a few moments here. But then you say, okay, well, sometimes
00:24that extracurricular activities can bleed over to your performance on the field. Alec Boehm,
00:30it's, excuse me, it is April the 22nd. He's hitting 128 in the Phillies lineup today in a free agent
00:36year. Fired his agent to try to change up, I guess, the, you know, vibes in the room for him.
00:42And also
00:43now upping the ante with another lawsuit there against his parents, accusing them of orchestrating
00:48a plan to take control of his finances for their own gain. So your parents are stealing your money.
00:53You have to fire your agent. You're in the midst of your worst career stretch that you've ever had
00:58in a year that's hoping to recoup the money that your parents probably lost you investing into
01:03condominiums somewhere at this point. Alec Boehm's season couldn't be any worse to start off than it
01:08is right now. Right. And yet he didn't pitch and give up seven runs to the Cubs again last night.
01:16So
01:16we can try and certainly point that, yes, he's not having a great season. He might have
01:22other things on his mind. But listen, we know this with baseball players. It's not ability.
01:29A lot of times, Donnie, it's what's happening above the shoulders. Hopefully things will calm
01:33down for the kid and he'll be back. But I'll tell you this. I mean, if you keep giving up
01:38seven
01:38plus runs a game, it really is not going to matter one way or the other. So the Phillies
01:44have some issues here. And Boehm is just one of many, I think, right now.
