An international citizen science project is returning to the area from the twenty fourth to the twenty seventh of April. Organisers say the public can help build a clearer picture of local biodiversity by uploading sightings through the iNaturalist app.

00:06as an International Nature Challenge returns this week. The City Nature Challenge runs from
00:11the 24th to the 27th of April and asks the public to record wild plants, animals and fungi
00:18using the iNaturalist app. Coventry City Council says entries can be made from gardens,
00:24parks, school grounds and waterways, helping build a shared picture of biodiversity
00:29across the area. Free guided events are also planned including sessions at Charter House,
00:35Longford Park, Wrighton Pools and Kenilworth Abbey Fields,
00:38with support from local ecologists and ranger teams also on offer across the weekend.
