​A new legislator from the smaller opposition Taiwan People's Party has been sworn in. Law professor Hsu Chung-hsin takes over the seat vacated by Li Chen-hsiu. Li became Taiwan’s first lawmaker with Chinese citizenship in February and was expelled from the party last week for alleged misconduct, losing her legislative position.
