00:00PAS has slammed national broadcaster Radio Television Malaysia after TV2 allegedly aired a cartoon featuring lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender

00:12PAS ulama chief Ahmad Yahya said the cartoon was Cleopatra in space, and that this was the second time that

00:20RTM had broadcast cartoons with LGBT elements.

00:23Last year, RTM stopped airing the cartoon Santiago of the Seas following complaints of indirect LGBT elements in the animated

00:32show.

00:33Ahmad questioned the vetting process of RTM producers, saying they must be more wary of discreet attempts to spread LGBT

00:41elements through cartoons.

00:42He said Malaysian authorities must not take the issue lightly or be lackadaisical when it comes to monitoring and controlling

00:50content aired locally, especially involving shows from abroad.

00:54The broadcaster nonetheless stopped airing the series to carry out a review of the show.
