00:00Another main issue that voters have spoken to us about was the CFMEU scandal, $15 billion, barely lost.
00:06Now, many of the people we spoke to, even some who have the Labour voters for most of their lives,
00:11have held you to account of that and have announced they're not going to be voting Labour in this year's
00:16election for that reason.
00:17Do you believe that's a fair assessment?
00:19Well, what you've just said in terms of your question is that allegation is wrong.
00:26I think it's important to say that at the outset there are claims that have been made,
00:31that evidence has not been provided to support that claim.
00:36And this is a really important point because I have zero tolerance for any sort of criminal activity in any
00:43workplace.
00:43We've given police more powers.
00:45They've had a dedicated task force set up to this to deal with this issue and have laid 70 charges,
00:53made a number of arrests, who've gone out and cancelled 147 construction licences to weed out this bad behaviour in
01:03the industry.
01:03The claims that are being made have been made without evidence.
01:06If there is evidence, we need to see it because police will take action.
01:11The Labour Hire Authority will take action.
01:14But that claim that has been made has not been supported with any evidence to date.
01:23The Labour Hire Authority will take action.
