00:01Oh look businesses are super excited you know they've been waiting for the opening of the new
00:06stadium for quite some time and so this is a massive opportunity for not only Christchurch
00:11Canterbury and in fact the South Island businesses are really geared up for seeing 25,000 people come
00:17out of that stadium and head into the central city. The team are really prepped up about it
00:21everyone's very excited and we're looking forward to hosting lots of people and just seeing Christchurch
00:26step into a whole new level of entertainment and opportunity really tricky time for trading for a
00:36lot of people in this area here so we're really pleased to see it moving ahead and I've been
00:40waiting here a long time I took the lease in 2014 expecting that the stadium was going to open in
00:442019 so you know it's been a long wait from then till 2014 till now 12 years so yeah thrilled
00:50yeah
00:51we just finished designing our shop and we finished designing the menu and we're ready for this week
00:58the opening the stadium and we're very excited to start rock and roll. For all the Christchurch people
01:06like they are already excited for the opening they already everyone waiting for this moment like the
01:13Christchurch need this time. Well we know that actually when we have big events here in Christchurch as
01:18we've just had in the weekend with the car racing you know we see a massive impact across our economy
01:23and
01:23that can be you know widespread from the bars the restaurants the retailers including the
01:28transport companies the hotels and motels so you know these are the sorts of events that really give us a
01:33huge
01:33economic boost. They couldn't have done better for us really to have three days of you know top quality
01:38rugby happening 100 metres away in the heart of the city and it's going to be wonderful.
