00:14Troy L. Nunley ruled that eight attorneys general and DirecTV are likely to succeed in their
00:19challenge. The plaintiffs argued the deal would raise prices and reduce local journalism.
00:24The deal would create a company owning 265 television stations across 44 states and Washington,
00:31D.C., most affiliated with ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC. The judge said the merger could allow Nextstar
00:39to raise retransmission fees, leading to higher consumer bills, while consolidating stations
00:44and reducing local news options for viewers. Attorneys for Nextstar and Tegna did not immediately
