Moving your financial data shouldn't feel like a high-stakes puzzle. Whether you are migrating from Desktop to Online or upgrading versions, follow this streamlined guide to ensure a seamless transition.

1. Prep and Cleanse
Before clicking "export," run a Reverify Data utility in your current file. Delete any duplicate entries or "ghost" accounts to prevent errors during the migration.

2. Back It Up
Never skip this. Create a local backup (.qbb) of your company file. If the conversion glitches, you’ll want a "undo" button that actually works.

3. The Migration Process
Launch the Tool: Use the built-in "Export to QuickBooks Online" wizard.
