00:00Why I would never trade my evangelical religiosity for Catholicism.
00:04In the evangelical religion, I have the assurance of salvation while I persevere in the faith.
00:10In Catholicism, the believer loses salvation with every mortal sin,
00:15including missing Sunday Mass. Catholicism is a moralistic religion,
00:20whereas Protestantism is an anti-moralistic religion. In Catholicism, human moral cooperation
00:26is decisive for salvation. In Protestantism, salvation is free and undeserved,
00:32through faith in Christ alone and by his merits. Salvation is not lost through isolated sins,
00:39but through the deliberate rejection of faith. Sanctification, always gradual and imperfect in
00:45this world, is the result of salvation, not a means of attaining it. The moral law serves as
00:51a guide for the believer's life, but no longer has condemning power over him. Catholic religiosity,
00:57on the other hand, is a true spiritual minefield.
