00:00My mother was very, very spiritual, very religious.
00:03My grandpa being a Church of God preacher, Pentecostal preacher.
00:08So we grew up in the church and believing that through God all things were possible.
00:13And Mama just always would read these stories from the Bible and she would give us examples of things.
00:19Well, tell me a little bit about your faith.
00:22Well, as I mentioned earlier, my grandpa was a preacher.
00:25So my grandpa pastored this little church called the House of Prayer.
00:28And so he was a very positive, uplifting person.
00:33And I learned to love Jesus and Jesus learned that Jesus loved me when I was a little bitty kid.
00:40And all those things that Mama used to say, you know, that through God all things are possible.
00:45I kept all those things kind of tucked away into my subconscious mind and in my heart.
00:50And those are the things that have helped me through the years.
00:54I never do anything that I don't pray about it.
00:56And I always ask God to lead me and to show me and direct me into what I'm doing and to bring all the good and the right people into my life.
01:05And to take all the bad and good things out and just to kind of guide me to do things that would glorify him and to uplift mankind.
01:14That's my mission in this world.
01:15And you've done so much to help people with the fires and just giving so much of your...
01:22Well, we should do that.
01:23You know, I'm certainly no angel.
01:25Lord knows I'm not.
01:26But I believe in something greater than myself.
01:30And I do believe in prayer.
01:31And I do believe in forgiveness.
01:33And I do believe that God is there for us.
01:37And, you know, we all need to believe in something, you know, bigger than us.
01:41And I believe that there is.
01:44And I depend on that.
01:45So, if somebody was listening, and I know a lot of people will be listening to this, what would you say to them to encourage them and inspire them?
01:56Well, I would just say you just need to try to find all the good in life you can.
02:00You see something wrong, try to make it right.
02:02You see something bad, try to make it good.
02:04Or at least kind of throw some sort of light on whatever darkness that you see.
02:09Just try to make things a little better.
02:11Treat people a little nicer.
02:12Love a little more.
02:14Pray.
02:15Pray a little harder.
02:16And I just think we should just try a little more to be better people, especially at this day and time.
