00:00I am here at Sony's headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, and Sony has just announced True RGB,
00:04which is their take on the micro RGB that we've seen. So we know Sony has been working on this
00:08technology. It's been in development for probably close to a decade at this point, if not longer.
00:12And the basic gist here is they are using a three diode component for True RGB. So what does that
00:17mean? There are individual red, green, and blue clusters basically back here, which is replacing
00:21a normal white backlight that we know. And we've seen very popular on other LED TVs, including
00:26mini LED. Now Sony is controlling that with a new backlight driver control, which will let them get
00:31really accurate colors and really minute details for this. So the actual energy that's being pushed
00:36to each LED and being able to up it. So as you can see on some of these, much higher,
00:40lower on other
00:40ones. And that of course is creating the image below. And when you look at this, so this is the
00:45RGB LED technology on this side. So Sony True RGB versus Sony mini LED. You can definitely tell it's
00:51a heck of a lot brighter. Colors look way more punchier. And as you can see, it's still super
00:55smooth. And this is of course test content, but we'll see it kind of switch to different things,
00:59specifically with the sunlight here and with the fire, you know, it's keeping the color more so
01:03than what we see here. So this is some really exciting stuff. And as you can see, there is
01:07sometimes white here, but for the vast majority of it, it is a different color. So, you know, we're
01:11looking at red right here, yellow, you'll see kind of where those highlights are. Peak brightness in
01:16some of the demos I saw was really, really high from this. And it's just a really exciting entry into
01:20the point where, you know, it's not, Sony's not replacing OLED with this, but it's definitely a new
01:25higher tier over mini LED. So certainly excited to see what comes from Sony True RGB. If you want to

01:35comments down below what you think about Sony True RGB.
