00:00Welcome back to the channel.
00:01Okay, I'm just going to say it straight up.
00:03Episode 3 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4
00:07is the best episode of this season so far.
00:10And it's not even close, will you?
00:12We've had a great episode 1.
00:14We've had a fun episode 2.
00:15But episode 3?
00:18Reviewers are calling it, and I quote,
00:21absolute cinema.
00:23Peak storytelling.
00:24Better animation than anything this season has given us.
00:27A villain backstory that reframes the entire threat Rimuru is facing.
00:32And a dungeon battle that finally delivers the payoff we've been waiting for
00:35since Team Green Fury first showed up.
00:37This episode had everything.
00:39Today on this channel, we are breaking down every single moment
00:42of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4, Episode 3.
00:47Formation of the Temporary Demon Team.
00:49If you're a Tensura fan, hit that like button right now.
00:52Subscribe if you haven't.
00:53Let's get into it.
00:55Super quick recap before we dive in.
00:57Episode 1 set up the new dungeon project.
00:59Tempest's big plan to attract adventurers from all over the world,
01:03generate revenue, and put themselves on the map.
01:06Masayuki accidentally became a legend by tripping and defeating a monster.
01:10The reward system was set up, and in the shadows,
01:13the Razo family and Yuuki were watching with very unfriendly intentions.
01:17Episode 2 introduced Team Green Fury,
01:20a mysterious, suspiciously skilled adventuring party that started tearing through the dungeon
01:26way too efficiently.
01:27Rimuru and his council noticed.
01:29The tension was real.
01:31And the episode ended with Rimuru preparing to personally enter the dungeon in avatar form
01:36to intercept them.
01:37Episode 3 is where all of that setup pays off,
01:41in the most satisfying way possible.
01:43The episode opens with something completely unexpected,
01:47and it immediately elevates the whole thing.
01:49We get a full origin story from Maribel Rosso,
01:53one of Season 4's central villains,
01:55told through a beautifully presented flashback sequence with sepia tones
01:59that give it this classic distant memory quality.
02:03Studio 8-Bit absolutely nailed the visual direction here.
02:06And here's the twist that makes Maribel genuinely fascinated.
02:11She is an isekai character herself.
02:14A reincarnated person, just like Rimuru.
02:18Just like Masayuki.
02:20Except her story went in a very different direction.
02:23In her previous life, she was the daughter of a high European noble,
02:27and she was extraordinary.
02:29Through pure talent, effort, and calculated strategy,
02:33she rose to become a behind-the-scenes ruler of Europe.
02:37A shadow power.
02:39Someone who controlled governments and economies
02:41without ever sitting on a throne herself.
02:44But the way she chose to rule?
02:46Dictatorship.
02:48Control.
02:49Domination.
02:50She believed that order required an iron hand,
02:53and she imposed her will on the world around her.
02:56She even married as part of her political strategy.
02:59She lived that way her entire life and died of old age.
03:03Never having softened.
03:04Never having changed.
03:05And then, she was reincarnated into this world
03:09as the princess of the kingdom of Seltrozo.
03:12And the very first thing she did as a reborn baby?
03:15She used her unique ability, called greed,
03:18to control her own wetness.
03:20Not because she needed to,
03:22but because that's who she is.
03:25Control is her instinct.
03:27Power is her language.
03:28Over time, she used greed to bring almost everyone around her under her influence.
03:33Ministers.
03:34Advisors.
03:35Guards.
03:36One by one, the entire kingdom bent to her invisible will.
03:40The one person she could never control?
03:42Her grandfather, Granbel Rosso.
03:45The former hero and head of the Five Elders.
03:48He's resistant to her ability in a way nobody else is,
03:51and their relationship exists in this fascinating space of mutual recognition.
03:56Two control freaks who can't dominate each other,
03:58forced to work together.
04:00This backstory is a masterclass in villain writing.
04:03Mariabelle isn't evil because she's cruel for the sake of it.
04:07She's evil because she genuinely believes that the world runs better under total control.
04:12And she has the ability and the intelligence to make that belief a reality.
04:17That makes her terrifying in a way that's much more interesting than a simple I-want-power villain.
04:23Now the episode does something brilliant.
04:25It cuts from the heavy, serious villain backstory directly into pure comedy gold.
04:29And this tonal whiplash works perfectly.
04:32Because while Mariabelle has been out here building a shadow empire using mind control since infancy,
04:37Rimuru's team in the dungeon is an absolute disaster.
04:42Here's the setup.
04:43To deal with Team Green Fury inside the dungeon without revealing Tempest's most powerful cards,
04:48Rimuru came up with a plan.
04:50He, along with Ramirez, Veldora, and Milim, would take on temporary avatar bodies.
04:56Magical constructs they can control while inside the labyrinth,
04:59so they can personally intercept and stop the threat.
05:02Sounds great in theory.
05:04In practice, complete chaos.
05:08These temporary avatar bodies are low-level,
05:10significantly weaker than their actual forms,
05:13and are four incredibly overpowered characters,
05:16including a literal ancient dragon and a demon lord,
05:20are completely disoriented trying to operate at a fraction of their usual power.
05:25Their coordination is terrible.
05:27Their fighting styles clash constantly.
05:43The scene where they confront a group of adventurers on the 30th floor and immediately spiral into complete disorder is
05:51one of the funniest moments in Tensura this season.
05:54These are four of the most powerful beings in the world and they look like absolute beginners in these bodies.
06:01The reality check lands hard.
06:04They need to train.
06:05These avatar forms are not a shortcut.
06:08They require real coordination and teamwork.
06:12So, Rimuru does what Rimuru does.
06:15He identifies the problem and solves it.
06:18He goes to Kurobe, the master blacksmith of Tempest, and commissions proper armor and weapons specifically designed and calibrated for
06:26these avatar forms.
06:28Equipment built to maximize what these bodies can actually do rather than trying to fight like their original powerful selves.
06:36Kurobe delivers.
06:38The armor is impressive even at this reduced tier.
06:41And with the right gear, the four of them head back into the dungeon and start training properly.
06:47Floor by floor, working their way upward, building chemistry,
06:51learning how to move and fight as a coordinated unit in these specific forms.
06:57It's a classic training montage.
07:00But what makes it land is the personality dynamics.
07:04Veldora showing off even when he shouldn't.
07:07Milim treating everything like a game.
07:10Ramirez overcompensating for her tiny form with massive enthusiasm.
07:15And Rimuru slowly, patiently, bringing them all into sync.
07:20By the time they're ready, they are genuinely formidable.
07:24Not at their true power, but more than enough for what's coming.
07:29And then, the moment everyone has been waiting for since episode 2.
07:34Team Green Fury enters the 49th floor.
07:38Deep in the dungeon and clearly expecting to push through just like every other floor.
07:44Their captain Ayn is confident and commanding.
07:47They're a well-coordinated team that has handled every challenge the dungeon threw at them so far.
07:53And then, the dungeon throws them something they didn't plan for.
07:57The floor is immediately flooded with acidic slime monsters.
08:01A tactical ambush designed to disorient and split the team.
08:06Green Fury fights through them, carving a path.
08:09But while they're focused on the slime monsters, Rimuru's avatar team springs the real trap.
08:16One by one, each member of Team Green Fury is taken out by Rimuru's crew.
08:22Ramirez, Milim, Veldora.
08:25Each picking off their targets with the precision and teamwork they built during training.
08:30It's clean, efficient, and enormously satisfying after two episodes of build-up.
08:37The final confrontation is between Rimuru and Ayn, Team Green Fury's captain.
08:43Rimuru, cornering Ayn, reaches into a type of magic he doesn't often use.
08:49Holy magic.
08:50And takes out the remaining members in one decisive move.
08:54Team Green Fury is done.
08:57The dungeon is secure.
08:59The threat that has been lurking since episode 2 is neutralized.
09:03And back at the palace, Rimuru and his team celebrate.
09:07They pulled it off.
09:09The avatar plan worked.
09:11Tempest is safe.
09:13For now.
09:14Because episode 3 doesn't let you relax for long.
09:18While Rimuru and his friends are celebrating in the palace,
09:22the episode cuts back to Maria Bell and Yuki.
09:25And what they reveal makes Team Green Fury look like a warm-up.
09:30Yuki confirms what savvy viewers probably already suspected.
09:35Team Green Fury was never meant to win.
09:38They were a probe.
09:40A test.
09:40An intelligence gathering operation disguised as a serious assault on the dungeon.
09:46Their purpose was never to actually defeat Rimuru.
09:50Their purpose was to gather information about how Rimuru responds.
09:54What tactics he uses.
09:55And more importantly, how he and Veldora coordinate together.
09:59And now they have that information.
10:01Yuki lays out the next phase of the plan with brightening clarity.
10:05If they can isolate Rimuru from Veldora,
10:08they can potentially take Rimuru out.
10:09Those two together are unstoppable.
10:12But separated?
10:13There might be a window.
10:15Maria Bell immediately agrees.
10:17She will use her ability, greed,
10:19to manipulate and sway the key players around Rimuru,
10:23turning his allies and the political landscape against him.
10:26And while she does that,
10:27Yuki will move directly against Rimuru himself.
10:30Two front attack.
10:32Psychological warfare on one side.
10:34Direct confrontation on the other.
10:36The episode ends right there.
10:38With the full weight of what's coming settling over everything.
10:41Rimuru just won a battle.
10:43But the real war hasn't started yet.
10:45So that is that time I got reincarnated as a slime season for episode 3.
10:50Formation of the temporary demon team.
10:52And wow.
10:53Just wow.
10:54This episode fires on every single cylinder.
10:56Mary Bell's reincarnation backstory is the best villain origin Tinsura has delivered in years.
11:03It's layered, it's thematic, and it makes her genuinely compelling rather than just threatening.
11:08The Avatar training comedy is peak Tinsura humor.
11:12The Team Green Fury takedown is the satisfying action payoff the season needed.
11:16And the ending, revealing that all of it was just a test for a much bigger plan,
11:21instantly resets the tension at a higher level.
11:24Studio 8-Bit is not just maintaining quality this season.
11:28They are genuinely improving episode by episode.
11:31The sepia flashback visuals, the dungeon fight choreography, the comedic timing during training.
11:37Every element of the production is working together beautifully.
11:41Three episodes in, season 4 is already looking like one of the strongest seasons Tinsura has ever had.
11:47And the real threat hasn't even fully revealed itself yet.
11:51I am so buckled in for this season.
11:53Let's go.
11:54And that is your complete breakdown of that time I got reincarnated as a slime season 4.
11:59Episode 3.
12:00Maria Bell revealed as a reincarnated person who's been running Shadow Empires since birth.
12:07Rimuru's team being absolute disasters in their Avatar bodies before becoming an actually scary unit.
12:13Team Green Fury taken down clean on the 49th floor.
12:17And then Yuki dropping the bombshell.
12:19It was all just a scouting mission.
12:21The real plan is isolate Rimuru from Veldora and strike.
12:25Season 4 is cooking.
12:27Hard.
12:27Now I want to hear from you in the comments.
12:29What do you think of Maribel's backstory?
12:32Does knowing she's also a reincarnated person change how you see her as a villain?
12:36And how do you think Yuki's plan to separate Rimuru and Veldora is going to play out?
12:41Drop your theories below.
12:42I read every single one.
12:44If this episode breakdown helped you and you want to be here every single week for the full season 4
12:49journey,
12:50subscribe and hit the bell.
12:52We never miss an episode.
12:53A like takes 2 seconds and genuinely helps the channel grow.
12:57It means everything.

13:00Until then, stay slimy.
