00:00Welcome back to the channel. Okay, so, episode 3 of Tensura Season 4 was an absolute masterpiece.
00:06The Maria Bell backstory. Team Green Fury being defeated. The villain plan revealed.
00:12That episode set the bar sky high. And episode 4? It knows it can't top that immediately,
00:17so instead of trying to, it does something really clever. It delivers a perfect blend
00:23of pure comedy gold in the first half, then smoothly transitions into some of the most
00:28politically important story developments of the entire season. And honestly, it works.
00:33Episode 4 of that time, I got reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 titled Invitation, dropped on April
00:4024th. And it is the episode where Rimuru's dream of a world where humans and monsters coexist stops
00:47being just a dream and starts becoming political reality. Today, we are breaking down everything.
00:53The dungeon dominators getting names. Malim getting absolutely dragged out of the castle.
00:58The Council of the West making history. And Hinata getting intercepted by a prince at the worst
01:04possible moment. Like button. Subscribe. Let's get into it. Real quick recap before we jump in.
01:10Because episode 4 picks up directly where episode 3 left off. Episode 3 was the season's best episode
01:17so far. We got Maria Bell Rosso's full origin story, revealed as a reincarnated person who spent her past
01:25life secretly ruling Europe as a shadow dictator. We got the Avatar team, Rimuru, Malim, Veldora,
01:32and Ramiris, training in low-powered dungeon bodies, building chemistry and teamwork. We got the
01:38spectacular team Green Fury takedown on the 49th floor. And then Yuki dropped the bombshell ending.
01:45Green Fury was never meant to win. They were a probe. The real plan is to isolate Rimuru from Veldora
01:51and strike. And Maria Bell would use her greed ability to manipulate the political landscape
01:56around Rimuru while Yuki moves against him directly. Rimuru won the battle. The real war
02:02is still coming. Now, episode 4 steps back from the intensity and sets the board for what's next.
02:09The episode opens in the dungeon and immediately gives us something fans have been waiting for since
02:14the Avatar team was formed. They have official names now. The Avatar team, Rimuru, Malim, Veldora,
02:21and Ramiris in their low-powered dungeon bodies, are now officially called the Dungeon Dominators.
02:27And each member has their own individual identity and title within the group. Malim's avatar is called
02:33Red Meteor, Scarlet. Aggressive, flashy, and perfectly on-brand for Malim. A name that sounds like it belongs
02:41to a demon lord who really enjoys being dramatic. Ramiris's avatar is called Heavy Armor of Purple
02:47Smoke, Mauve Titan, which is hilarious because Ramiris is tiny. The name is enormous. She absolutely
02:54insisted on the most impressive possible title to compensate for the fact that she's the smallest
02:59person in any room she walks into. Veldora's avatar is called Laughing Golden Skull, Gold Skull.
03:06Veldora named himself. Of course he did. The most ancient and powerful storm dragon in existence
03:12chose Laughing Golden Skull for his dungeon persona. This is completely consistent with his personality
03:19and I respect it entirely. And Rimuru's avatar is called Blue Reaper, Blue Death. Clean, mysterious,
03:26and dangerous sounding. Exactly how Rimuru operates when he's being strategic rather than goofy.
03:32Together, the dungeon dominators. And what are they doing with these names and personas?
03:37Dominating the dungeon and shutting down adventurers. Still operating under the premise
03:42that Team Green Fury might return, the dungeon dominators are using the dungeon floors to practice.
03:48Which in practice means absolutely running over every adventuring party that comes through.
03:53They are, without question, the most terrifying obstacle in the entire labyrinth.
03:58And they're having way too much fun doing it. Meanwhile, Masayuki and Team Lightspeed have
04:03reached the 50th floor. Their progress, combined with their ongoing role as the dungeon's promotional
04:09faces, is keeping the adventurer traffic absolutely booming. New groups are flooding into Tempest every
04:15day. The dungeon economy is thriving. Everything is going great. Which means it's absolutely time for
04:21something to disrupt the fun. Rimuru and the dungeon dominators return from the dungeon feeling great
04:27about themselves. Victorious. Confident. Ready to enjoy the fruits of their labors.
04:33Shunna is waiting at the castle entrance. She has news of an unexpected guest. They walk in,
04:39and sitting in the main hall is Frye. Now for context, Frye is one of the ten demon lords.
04:44She is composed, powerful, and carries herself with the kind of quiet authority that makes everyone in the
04:51room immediately more nervous. She is also, crucially, the one person Malim actually listens
04:57to. Malim sees Frye and does what any all-powerful demon lord would do in this situation. She tries to
05:04hide behind Rimuru. It does not work. Frye has spotted her. And Frye is not here on a social call.
05:10She delivers the verdict calmly and without drama. Malim has been skipping her actual duties as a demon lord.
05:17She's been playing around in the dungeon, goofing off with Rimuru's crew, having the time of her life.
05:23And all the responsibilities she was supposed to be handling? Left completely unattended.
05:28Malim immediately looks to her friends for backup. And in one of the episode's funniest moments,
05:33every single one of them slowly backs away. Rimuru finds something else to look at.
05:38Veldora suddenly has somewhere else to be. Ramiris shrinks down even smaller than usual.
05:44Nobody is going to go up against Frye to defend Malim's dungeon vacation. Malim, the demon lord
05:50who once punched a hole through a mountain, is dragged out of the castle by Frye like a child
05:55being pulled away from a toy store. The dungeon is going to feel a lot less chaotic without her.
06:00And significantly less fun. With Malim gone, there's still one problem remaining.
06:05Shanna. She has been waiting patiently this whole time, watching the Malim situation unfold.
06:11And now she turns her full attention to Rimuru with that specific calm,
06:15measured expression that means she has questions and expects complete answers.
06:20Where have you been? What were you doing in the dungeon? Why does nobody ever tell her anything?
06:24Rimuru panics. Veldora and Ramiris, who were already backing toward the exit,
06:30take this opportunity to disappear entirely. Because getting caught up in Shunna's quiet disapproval
06:36is something even ancient supernatural beings want no part of. And then, perfectly timed,
06:43Gard rushes in with urgent news. The Council of the West is calling an emergency meeting.
06:48And the item on the agenda? Whether to formally accept the Jura Tempest Federation,
06:53Rimuru's nation, as an official member. This is enormous. This has been building since the very
06:58beginning of the season. And Rimuru immediately seizes the interruption as a reason to end the
07:04Shunna conversation and refocus everyone's attention on what matters. The political play
07:10that could define Tempest's future is finally happening. The episode now cuts to the Council of
07:15the West, the regulatory body made up of the human nations of the Western continent. This organization
07:21was originally created as a coalition to stand against monster threats. It was, fundamentally,
07:27an anti-monster institution. And now it's being asked to vote on inviting a demon lord and his
07:33monster nation to join. The room is divided. Several nobles are deeply uncomfortable with the idea.
07:39These are people whose entire political identity has been built on the separation between human
07:44nations and monster powers. Accepting Tempest isn't just a political decision. It's an ideological one.
07:51It means acknowledging that the old division between humans and monsters is not as absolute
07:57as they've always believed. The argument against is straightforward. Bringing a demon lord into the
08:03Council risks everything the organization was built to protect. And then Johan, one of the more
08:08forward-thinking Council members, steps forward to make the case for inclusion. His argument is
08:14practical and brilliant. He doesn't appeal to idealism. He doesn't ask anyone to suddenly abandon
08:20their prejudices. He just asks them to think strategically. Having Ramuru, Veldora, and the
08:26entire military strength of the Jura Tempest Federation on their side, allied with the Western nations rather
08:32than existing as an independent power, is a massive strategic advantage. The Eastern Empire is growing
08:38more aggressive. Threats are rising everywhere. In that environment, leaving Tempest outside the alliance
08:44is a waste of the most powerful potential partner available. Numbers. Strategy. Mutual benefit.
08:51The Council votes. The majority says yes. The Jura Tempest Federation is formally accepted into the
08:57Council of the West. This is the single most important political development of Season 4 so far.
09:04Ramuru's dream, a world where humans and monsters coexist as equals, just took its most significant
09:10institutional step forward. A coalition built to fight monsters just invited a demon lord to join
09:17as an equal member. That is genuinely historic within the world of Tensura. But the episode doesn't
09:23let the triumph land cleanly. Because Arakawa, sorry, fuse, never lets Ramura breathe too long.
09:30Hinata was present at the Council meeting as an observer. And now that the vote is done and the session
09:36is breaking up, she moves to leave. She is intercepted by the First Prince of Ingrassia.
09:41And this conversation is loaded with tension from the very first word. The First Prince of Ingrassia
09:47is connected to Yuki, who is based in Ingrassia and has been quietly building influence there.
09:52And the fact that he's going out of his way to specifically intercept Hinata, the most powerful
09:58holy knight in the world, someone with deep personal history with Ramuru, right after this
10:03historic council vote, is not a coincidence. What does he want from her? What is he setting up?
10:08The episode ends right there. Hinata face to face with the prince. The conversation just beginning.
10:14With everything about the framing suggesting this is the moment that sets the next major conflict into
10:20motion. So that is that time I got reincarnated as a slime season 4 episode 4, Invitation. And it's a
10:27great example of Tensura doing what it does best. It doesn't try to top episode 3's intensity. Instead,
10:34it delivers a masterclass in tonal balance. Using the Dungeon Dominator's comedy to keep the mood light
10:40while the episode quietly moves all the political pieces into place for something much bigger.
10:46The Malim and Fry scene is one of the funniest moments of the season. The Dungeon Dominator names are
10:51perfect. And the Council of the West vote is genuinely one of the most narratively significant
10:56moments season 4 has given us. Because it means Ramuru's dream is no longer just a dream. It has
11:03institutional backing now. And then Hinata gets cornered by the first prince of Ingracia. And
11:09suddenly the celebration feels fragile again. Because in Tensura, every step forward comes with
11:14a new threat waiting just behind it. Studio 8-Bit continues to deliver clean, consistent, visually
11:21polished work. Episode May 4th not hit the dramatic heights of episode 3, but it absolutely earns its
11:28place in the season's story. Episode 5 is dropping May 8th. And based on that ending, it's going to be
11:34intense. And that is your complete breakdown of that time I got reincarnated as a slime season 4,
11:40episode 4, Invitation. The Dungeon Dominators getting official names, Scarlet, Moe Titan,
11:47Gold Skull, and Blue Death. Malim trying to hide behind Ramuru and getting dragged home by Fry anyway.
11:53Shuno waiting with the patience of someone who absolutely knows what was going on.
11:57The Council of the West making history by voting Tempest in as a member. And Hinata getting
12:04intercepted by the first prince of Ingracia right at the end in the most suspiciously timed
12:09conversation of the season. Season 4 is building so beautifully. Every episode is adding another layer.
12:15And the stakes keep rising. Now I want to hear from you in the comments. What do you think the
12:20first prince wants from Hinata? Is he working directly for Yuki? And now that Tempest is in
12:25the Council of the West, how long before the Ratso family tries to use that against Ramuru?
12:31Drop your theories below. I read every single one. Also quick note, episode 5 has been delayed slightly
12:37and is dropping on May 8th instead of the usual schedule. So mark your calendars and come back here
12:43for the full breakdown when it drops. A like takes 2 seconds and genuinely helps the channel grow.
12:49It means everything. And if you want every episode of season 4 covered right here,
12:54subscribe and hit the bell. See you for episode 5. Until then, stay slimy.
