00:00I portray Prometheus in Hades 2.
00:04I play Hecate.
00:05I'm voicing Melinoe.
00:06I play Dora and Scylla.
00:09I play Apollo in Hades 2.
00:11I'm voicing Nemesis in Hades 2.
00:13I played Ares, Dionysus, and Theseus in Hades.
00:16I play chiefly Cronus.
00:20She finds precious moments in between basically what's wartime and what's vengeance and a mission to get her family back.
00:27She has like an addiction to fairness.
00:30And the fact that she is a woman of like few words, she really picks and chooses like how to
00:35cut.
00:36Dora is an incorporeal shade who has forgotten her past but doesn't seem too concerned about it.
00:44There is that youthful optimism that I wanted to kind of get across.
00:47That's something that I try to channel.
00:49He is the Titan of Time.
00:51He is the father of Hades.
00:54Prometheus is an antagonist of sorts.
00:58He also just looks really cool.
01:00So Hecate for me I think is not just a powerful other being but there's something in it that makes
01:10you powerful.
01:11I love the new characterization of Dionysus.
01:13No, it's actually the same characterization but he's finally in his element.
01:17Like actually getting to party.
01:18Having been tortured for millennia, like coming back and still being a bit of a badass is quite cool.
01:25I feel like we see Prometheus ever so slightly over the hill.
01:28You know, just having kind of in recovery.
01:31She's meticulous and self-critical and self-serious.
01:35In my head the feeling is almost a slightly world-weary Maggie Smith.
01:40In the back of my head this sort of like,
01:42Oh, I've been doing this for so long.
01:44Why are they all so crap?
01:46Prometheus has this incredible dilemma.
01:50How do you go about your life knowing everything?
01:54Nemesis has very, very huge emotions, just big feelings.
01:59Knows what she wants, goes after it, unapologetic, fearless, a little bit scary.
02:04She takes zero shit.
02:06And you don't get to discover that side of yourself by never being challenged and never failing.
02:11So I kind of love that that's reflected in the gameplay.
02:14It's quite literally a ray of light, this kind of beam of sunshine who offers millennia guidance.
02:21Skilla, on the other hand, is a siren songstress.
02:26Maniacal viciousness kind of seeps through the facade at times, whether she wants to or not.
02:31He doesn't go out of his way to be liked.
02:35He's not going to like somebody who doesn't appreciate a good party.
02:38Mean and petty and vindictive to the player.
02:43So I think she loathes Mel more than she could put into words or song.
02:48I was going to connect him to Mr. Bird, but there's not a whole lot.
02:51Other than they're like impossibly old age.
02:54How do you bring the torment and make it fun?
02:57In that classic way, in that Hades way, it's a reinvention of a classic.
03:01An undeniable part of this game is you don't pick your parents.
03:05She's like the mother figure I wish I had.
03:08And I think a lot of people are going to feel the same.
03:11It's just super exciting to see people take what I've done and run with it.
03:15I mean, I think as an artist, that is the thing that we all live for.
03:21Recording for this project was a bucket list for me.
03:23And I think the only thing that could have made it better is if players felt the same love and
03:30admiration for these characters that I feel for them.
03:32Hope you have so much fun playing this but not too much fun.
03:35Thank you so much for being one of the most loving and positive gaming communities I've ever seen.
03:41Just get good. Just get good. How hard can it be?
03:45It's such an honour to voice Apollo and I'm really excited for you to play the game.
03:50Thank you for playing, especially the old bastion heads. The real ones.
03:59I hope you have fun. I hope you're not too mean to Prometheus.
04:03And I'm so sorry of all the times that I probably killed you again and again and again and again.
04:08You know what? I'm not sorry. I saw it coming. You deserved it. You all did.
