00:06Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're looking at the most impactful images taken between April 10th and 16th, 2026.
00:13But sometimes, as the leader of a great city, you do have a right to reflect the views of the
00:20people in your city on some of the important issues facing the country.
00:24Victory on the green. He's done it again. On April 12th, Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy won his second consecutive
00:33Masters tournament, narrowly defeating runner-up Scotty Scheffler by a single stroke.
00:37I waited so long to win the Masters, and then all of a sudden I win two in a row,
00:41you know, not out of nowhere, but...
00:43David Cannon's photo shows McIlroy and spectators celebrating his victorious putt.
00:48The joy radiating from this image is boosted further by knowing that McIlroy is now one of only four golfers
00:54to win the coveted green jacket two years in a row.
00:59We got all of that. The crowd is standing on its feet here at Augusta, the normally reserved Augusta crowd,
01:06going wild.
01:08Special delivery. Fast food being delivered to someone usually isn't newsworthy. Usually.
01:13On April 13th, DoorDash delivery driver Sharon Simmons brought a McDonald's order to the White House.
01:19This was for a staged photo op with President Donald Trump to promote the no tax on tips policy.
01:25Wynn McNamee's photo shows Simmons wearing a DoorDash grandma t-shirt with the president right in front of the Oval
01:31Office.
01:32No matter what side of the aisle you're on, this is an unforgettable image.
01:36Isn't that incredible? And that's what it is, the tax cut. It's really, you know, we call it the great
01:42big beautiful bill. We should call it the great big beautiful tax cut bill.
01:46Let it burn.
01:47This ain't no party. This ain't no pistol. This ain't no pulling around.
01:54Same as it ever was?
01:55The first weekend of the 2026 Coachella Festival took place this past week, with widely discussed headlining performances from pop
02:02stars Justin Bieber and Sabrina Carpenter.
02:04However, we're going to highlight an artist whose legacy goes back much further.
02:08On April 11th, 73-year-old Talking Heads frontman David Byrne delivered a sensational energetic set.
02:15Fraser Harrison's photo of Byrne and his backup performers, plaid in orange, is a dynamic showcase of a legend at
02:20work.
02:21A damning testimony.
02:23But now that the congressman is running for governor of California, the story is coming back to haunt him.
02:28Perhaps no surprise.
02:29Eric Swalwell's campaign for governor of California took a disturbing turn when multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against the congressman
02:36came out.
02:37While Swalwell has denied the charges, he has suspended his campaign and resigned from Congress.
02:42On April 14th, Lana Drews, one of his accusers, held a press conference in Beverly Hills, detailing what Swalwell allegedly
02:50did to her.
02:51Justin Sullivan's photo shows Drews, her attorney, Lisa Bloom, and a picture of Drews and Swalwell.
02:56What comes next of this shocking scandal remains to be seen.
03:00The hypocrisy that the congressman is spousing is thicker than the fog in San Francisco where he lives, Bob.
03:06And I can tell you, absolutely release it.
03:09If there's nothing to hide.
03:10This morning, they're trying to spin it in California, that this is going to help him.
03:14Well, if it's going to help him, release the files, FBI Director Cash Patel.
03:18I'm a Californian.
03:19We're asking for you to do it, please.
03:22An unspeakable tragedy.
03:23On April 16th, news broke that former Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax and his wife Serena were found dead in
03:30their home.
03:31Police say the shooting appears to be related to an ongoing domestic dispute between the couple who are undergoing what
03:37they described as a messy divorce and still live together.
03:41The couple was reportedly in the early stages of divorce, and Fairfax apparently killed Serena before taking his own life.
03:47This all allegedly happened while their teenage children were home, with their son calling 911.
03:53Alex Wong's photo of the house being secured as a crime scene is a chilling image of the aftermath of
03:58a horrifying incident.
04:00Generational unity.
04:01You have a right to speak out on those issues.
04:03I think you do.
04:04And I think when you do, you are reflecting the views of the vast majority of the people in this
04:10city.
04:10Though they may have been born 50 years apart, Senator Bernie Sanders and New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani have
04:17plenty in common when it comes to their belief in democratic socialism.
04:20On April 12th, at Mamdani's address to mark his first 100 days in office, Sanders made a surprise appearance to
04:27swear in the mayor and praise his accomplishments thus far.
04:30Matthew Hone's photo of Mamdani, Sanders, and supporters holding signs and taking cell phone pics shows the power of a
04:36political movement across generations.
04:38Now, I think when you get inaugurated, you're probably not going to have the three richest people in the world
04:42sitting right behind you, right?
04:44I think not.
04:45We wouldn't have invited them.
04:46I hope they're not there.
04:48Flower power.
05:00Nothing like stopping to smell the roses and more.
05:03On April 11th, Koekenhoff, one of the world's biggest flower gardens located in the Netherlands, opened for its 77th season.
05:11Open for eight weeks per year.
05:13It is a must-see for any true flower lover.
05:16Abdullah Ashiran's photo of rows of colorful tulips captures their gorgeous vibrancy.
05:21It is the next best thing to being able to experience this beautifully cultivated display in person.
05:31Taking action.
05:33On April 14th and 15th, two separate school shootings occurred in the Turkish municipalities of Siverek and Onikishubat, with the
05:41latter being the deadliest school shooting in Turkey's history.
05:44A scene of panic and chaos outside a middle school in south-central Turkey as a shooter targeted children inside.
05:51That same day, a protest was held by various educational unions in front of the Ministry of National Education headquarters
05:58in Ankara.
05:59Adem Altan's photo shows demonstrators holding a banner reading,
06:02We will not surrender our schools to violence.
06:05It speaks to the combination of grief, fury and determination in response to such a traumatizing time for a nation.
06:11Some of the children injured in Wednesday's shooting are recovering in hospital.
06:17Prime Minister Mark Carney spoke to Turkey's president and offered his condolences.
06:22A new era for Hungary.
06:24On April 12th, after 16 years in power, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban was defeated in a landslide in the
06:312026 parliamentary election by TISA party leader Peter Mayar.
06:35I cried when I was putting the X on my vote.
06:42I'm Katya Adler, the BBC's Europe editor, and I'm in downtown Budapest at a big concert called Dismantle the System.
06:52Though Mayar has not yet been officially confirmed as the new prime minister,
06:56his decisive victory speaks to a desire for change among the country's voters.
07:00Attila Husseinov's photo of Mayar waving the Hungarian flag after his victory speech in Budapest
07:05is a stirring reminder that no matter what some might say, voting does make a difference.
07:10The Artemis 2 return.
07:12Talk about making a splash.
07:14The first parachute slowing Orion down for a soft splashdown in the Pacific.
07:21The Artemis 2 crew traveled deeper into space than any other humans.
07:26On April 10th, the Artemis 2 crew returned to Earth following a successful nine-day lunar flyby mission.
07:32The Orion spacecraft landed in the Pacific Ocean, as shown in this photo, taken by NASA photographer Bill Ingalls.
07:39The brave crew members were then transported via helicopter to the USS John P. Mertha naval ship for a post
07:45-flight evaluation.
07:46It is a beautiful snapshot of an incredible moment that makes one proud to be a part of humanity.
07:51The astronauts safe and sound now on planet Earth, giving this world pride and new passion for space adventure.
