00:00Our reporter Izzy Rodney joins us from the scene.
00:04What do we know so far about this situation?
00:08Yeah, so Oli, two people have been arrested and a murder investigation has been launched
00:13after a man in his 50s was stabbed to death here on Alma Road in Sioness on Thursday afternoon.
00:21Kent police were called here yesterday at around 4.32pm
00:26after reports of a disturbance inside a private property.
00:31Officers then attended the property and they found a man with what they believed was a stab injury.
00:38A little while later he then was confirmed to have died and his next of kin was then later informed.
00:44There is still a cordon at the scene. What have you seen today down in Sheerness?
00:51Yeah, so when I arrived the road was partially closed off and as you can see there is a cordon
00:59behind me
00:59with officers guarding some of the properties.
01:02There has been lots of police activities, you know, there's been vehicles here coming in and out
01:09and, you know, we've even got a drone right now above me flying over the street.
01:14So, you know, lots going on and, you know, even some of the officers have been going into each of
01:21the front porches
01:22of the properties on Alma Road.
01:25And what have Kent police said so far about what is quite a fast-moving situation?
01:32Yes, so a 32-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both from Sheerness, have been arrested
01:40and that's on suspicion of murder and have been placed in police custody.
01:45They're now appealing to any of the residents in the area for any sort of CCTV footage
01:50and also appealing to motorists with any sort of dashcam footage to give them further information.
