00:00Hi Michael, obviously there was a disappointment of Monday and since then Harry Maguire's got an additional ban.
00:07What was your reaction to that and what was his reaction to it?
00:10Well, to be honest, there's not much we can react to.
00:15Massively disappointed of course, I think.
00:18I had a few reasons to be disappointed in a big way over those type of situations over the last
00:23couple of weeks or three weeks.
00:25But obviously now we've got to move on.
00:28You know, the decisions have been made, something that we're really disappointed with in many ways.
00:33But that's it now. We've got to move on and we will do.
00:38With Lissandro, there was talk of an appeal over that decision.
00:42Did that go in and have you heard anything back?
00:45Yeah, I think we were obviously disappointed. We didn't agree with it.
00:50I think it was pretty obvious how I felt after the game and I still feel that way.
00:53So, yeah, listen, I don't want to go into it now.
00:58No, I think it is what it is. You know, we've been hit with some decisions and at the end
01:05of the day now, we've just got to accept it and move on whether we like them or not.
01:09He's not going to be available. There's no chance he can play tomorrow.
01:13And Michael, just touching on team news, is Cobby mainly back in training and are you expecting anyone else like
01:19Patrick Dolgu, is he back with team training yet?
01:22Patrick's not, no. Patrick's going well. He's rehabbing well. He's kind of on track, but he's not with us in
01:29terms of training yet.
01:30But he's back on the pitch, as I've already said. So that's positive. And he's doing really well.
01:35Cobby, a little bit, yeah, we're working towards it. He's done a little bit, so there's a decision to be
01:40made there.
01:41I just wanted to ask you about Aidan Heven as well, Michael, with, you know, he's probably the most logical
01:46person to come into the team, whether you do or not.
01:49Just wonder, you had a run of games before you returned to the club starting, not seen all that much
01:53of him since.
01:54Just wonder what you think he maybe needs to do to really contest for those starting positions and where you
01:59want to see him develop in the future.
02:03I think Aidan's in a good place. Well, I know he's in a good place. He's obviously still young and
02:08he's progressing through the early stage of his career, really.
02:13So I think it's pretty natural for him to play some games and then maybe not some others.
02:18He's training really well. He's learning. He's listening. He wants to improve.
02:21So I think it's pretty natural of a centre-half of his age to...
02:26He's probably well had a schedule in terms of the games that he's played.
02:30So, yeah, he's trained well. I've got no worries.
02:34He went away and played with England a couple of weeks ago and done well.
02:37So, yeah, it's a little forward to the game for sure.
02:43Michael, obviously, absolutely huge game against Chelsea, being a rival for the Champions League places.
02:48The record at Stamford Bridge has not been great down the years either.
02:52I guess that doesn't count for much, though, heading into Saturday.
02:55It's an absolutely crucial match, isn't it, whichever way you look at it?
02:59Yeah, it's an important game.
03:02You know, we're in a good position in the league and we want to keep building on that.
03:06It's a tough place to go. It always has done.
03:08We've always had tough games down there.
03:10Most of the time they've been good games in terms of what it brings,
03:14the feeling of a real proper game.
03:16So we'll be ready for that.
03:19You know, we're prepared well and, as I said, we take the confidence from what we've built.
03:24You know, yeah, we didn't get the result we wanted against Leeds on Monday.
03:30But certainly the way they finished the game and the character we showed,
03:34we've got to take that into this game with an extra player and make the most of it.
03:40I know you've got a decision to make at centre-back and there's different options for you.
03:45But just longer term, Lenny, your own aid in heaven,
03:48could that be the future of Manchester United's backline?
03:52Yeah, well, in terms of predicting the future, I think you've got to be careful what you try and predict.
03:59But certainly we're delighted to have both of them.
04:02And the age that they're at to have played in the Premier League for such a big club is not
04:11always the case.
04:11I think it's a position to be in the team at a young age, it's not always easy, it's not
04:21always straightforward.
04:22So for the two boys to have played that, they have different amounts at different times.
04:28But I think the experience and the stage that they're at now, they're at a really good stage.
04:32And the future is the future.
04:34They need to keep progressing and we'll give them the opportunity to do that,
04:38whether that's through training off the pitch and the coaching side and the help and the advice.
04:43And certainly the game time as well.
04:44So I think they're both in a really good place at the moment.
04:47It's probably as well as you can hope for centre-backs at the age that they're at.
04:53Michael, I realise analysis of situations is shaped by results,
04:58but there's been a lot of talk about substitutions in the wake of Monday.
05:02What is the thought process?
05:04Because a lot of people thought maybe there should have been a change at half-time or earlier or more.
05:09What is the thought process?
05:11There's always people that think some other things.
05:14There's always other opinions.
05:16There's a lot that comes into substitutions.
05:18I think we've had good impact off the bench really when you look back over the time we've been here
05:22and in different ways, players coming on, scoring goals.
05:26So, yeah, don't look into it too much.
05:30I think we obviously, we analyse what we take from each game,
05:34but in terms of the number of subs and when they're made and comparing them to other teams,
05:37it's kind of irrelevant really.
05:39It's results and generally we've had good results.
05:42And you mentioned a couple of times about Mason Mount.
05:47It seemed when Ruben was here that there was a kind of slot for him.
05:52It doesn't seem quite as obvious in the formation you play.
05:56Where do you think he can be most effective?
06:01There's definitely a place for him, without doubt.
06:04He's obviously working to get in fit and finding that.
06:08The other night I thought we actually finished the game to a point where we were having some chances as
06:12well.
06:12So, did we change it, did we not?
06:13There's obviously a decision to be made there, but Mason's got a good future here.
06:19So, I really don't worry about that.
