ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಶೇ. 33 ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದರೆ ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರಿಗೂ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಅರ್ಥವಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವ ಅಮಿತ್ ಶಾ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.ಮುಸ್ಲಿಮರಿಗೆ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನೀಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನೀಡಿದರೆ ಅದು ಧರ್ಮಾಧರಿತ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಧರ್ಮಾಧರಿತ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ನೀಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಕಾಶವೇ ಇಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
