00:00Shipping data now shows a second supertanker has entered the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz
00:05despite an American blockade on vessels to and from Iran's ports.
00:10The US Central Command, however, says 10 vessels have been turned around
00:14since the start of the blockade this week and that none have broken through.
00:19According to Iranian media, a US-sanctioned supertanker crossed the vital waterway
00:24towards Iran's Imam Khomeini port.
00:27Data from Kepler and LSEG reported that the vessel, capable of carrying 2 million barrels of oil,
00:34had entered the Gulf on Wednesday, but it remains unclear where its final destination lies.
00:39The tanker's entry into the Gulf comes a day after VLCC Alicia, heading to Iraq, also passed through the Strait.
00:47Both tankers had records of carrying Iranian oil in the past few years.
00:51US President Donald Trump announced the blockade on Sunday
00:54after peace talks between the US and Iran failed to reach a deal over the weekend.
