31:48어떠한 일들을 겪고 어떠한 것을 잃어버리는지에 대해서 이야기하는 거예요.

32:26제가 얘기 들어보니까 쪽 대본도 많이 없어졌다고 그러네요.

32:28뭐 그런 거 없어요. 전 풀대본 거의 다 받고 시작했어요.

32:43어떻게 그림을 그리게 됐습니까?

32:47참 이게 대학교 졸업하고 나서 너무 할 일이 없었어요.

32:53뭐 오디션 보러 다니고 오디션 이제 결과 기다리고 근데 아 시계 또 남은 시간이 있잖아요.

33:00대부분의 또 남은 시간 그걸 뭘 해야 될까 했을 때 좀 생산적인 일을 좀 하고 싶었어요.

33:07네.

33:08그래서 그림을 그려보자 동네 문방구 가서 스케치북이랑 사비 연필이랑 수채 물감을 사다가 이제 그림을 그리기 시작을 했죠.

33:17어릴 때 또 치매 활동을 했던 기억도 있고.

33:19어렸을 때 뭐 미술학원 다니고 뭐 저기 고울에서 상도 받고 뭐 했었죠.

33:23근데 그림을 그렸더니 되게 마음도 편해지고 시간도 잘 가고 어렸을 때는 시간이 참 안 갔잖아요.

33:29너무 좋더라고요.

33:30그래서 어 스케치북 말고 뭐 캔버스에 좀 그려봐야겠다 해서 이제 또 조금 더 큰 문방구에 갔어요.

33:38그래서 이제 거기서 물건들 추천받고 이제 그걸 또 그리면서 점점점점 뭐 캔버스 사이즈 늘어나고.

33:44그래서 뉴욕에서 전시를 했죠.

33:47자신 있게 뉴욕에서 하정우 화가 되다 해서 전시를 딱 했는데 한 점 딱 팔렸다면서요.

34:13LA에서 전시를 개인전화로 했는데 그때 평이 뭐였냐면 너무 상업적인 걸 신경을 쓴다 였어요.

34:20더 적나라하게 얘기를 하면 뭐 이렇게 다른 사람을 의식해서 그림을 그리냐.

34:26넌 너무 그림이 디자인적이야.

34:28막 이런 거를.

34:34진짜 릴케가 카푸스한테 한 얘기네요.

34:52그리고 얘기를 막 하는데 누가 그런 걸 했냐면 LA 현대미술관 관장이 저한테 얘기를 했어요.

34:59제가 한 면에 스케치한 작품들이 있었어요.

35:02근데 이거를 보면서 이렇게 그림을 그려야 된다.

35:06이게 훨씬 더 당신다운 그림이다라는 막 평을 저한테 막 얘기를 해 주시더라고요.

35:12순간 너무 기분 나쁘고 당황스러웠지만 다음날 너무너무 저한테는 소중한 조언을 해 주신 거예요.

35:19그래서 그 다음에 제가 어떻게 봬했냐면 의식하지 말고 내가 내 생긴대로 그려야겠다 였어요.

35:27근데 이미 뉴욕 전시는 여름에 잡혀 있었어요.

35:30그게 LA가 3월 전시였고 그래서 이제 그걸 준비를 하면서 대작들을 다 안 보내고 다 작은 사이즈의 그림에 거의 스케치된 작품들을

35:41다 펜으로만 그려서 전시를 보냈어요.

35:43그러니까 컬러도 들어가지 않는 펜으로 된 거의 드로잉 작품들만 보낸 거예요.

35:49그러다 보니까 거기서 하정우 씨 그림은 색채가 강렬하고 좀 사이즈도 있고 했는데 어떻게 이게 다 10호, 20호 사이즈밖에 안 왔냐.

36:00되게 불친절한 그림들이었어요.

36:03어쩌면 그냥 저의 무의식과 계획되지 않고 정제되지 않은 어떤 단면들의 엑스레이를 찍은 것 같은 그림들이었어요.

36:10근데 저는 그 그림이 너무너무 자랑스러워서 처음으로 솔직하게 내 모습을 내놓은 전시였거든요.

36:18당연히 그게 선뜻 안 가죠.

36:21그 무서운 그림들을 누가 자기 집에 소품으로 걸겠어요.

36:25그래서 딱 한 작품이 팔렸대요.

36:27그래서 제가 다시 제 사비를 들여서 다 한국으로 가지고 왔어요.

36:32근데 그게 제 인생에서 굉장히 터닝포인트가 되는 전시였어요.

36:38뭐 얼씬도 하지 마라.

36:40라고 할 수 있죠.

36:41그 갤러리 관장은 어쨌든 그림을 팔아야.

36:43와젠 댔, 와젠 댔, 와젠 댔겠죠.

36:46그림을 팔아야 갤러리도 운영하고 자기들이 자기 돈 써가지고 보험 들고 다 데리고 그림을 갖고 왔는데

36:52이 새끼 이거 한 점밖에 못 팔았네.

36:55얼씬도 하지 마라.

36:56불쌍 생각할 수 있어요.

36:58근데 저한테는 엄청나게 큰 깨달음이 왔었어요.
