00:00As to bail, Judge, your honor is fully familiar with the factual allegations having presided over the co-defense arraignment
00:06in his court yesterday.
00:08Briefly, the defendant now stands charged before this court with three counts of murder, second degree, and other related charges
00:15as well.
00:16We allege that this defendant shot the fire at least two times at two infant children in broad daylight on
00:23a public street here in Brooklyn in the middle of a shopping district.
00:27Killing a seven-month-year-old baby girl by the name of Kaori Patterson-Moore, as well as injuring her
00:33two-year-old infant brother Kaizen Patterson-Moore.
00:36They did this all in front of the baby's mother, father, and other loved ones who were around them at
00:40the time, while the family was out enjoying a warm spring day that turned into an absolute nightmare for this
00:46family.
00:47The defendant was identified immediately following the shooting on video cameras that captured not only the murder itself, but it
00:54also captured, there was video capturing the crashing of the moped,
00:58which was only several blocks away from the crime scene, as well as the defendant in an ambulance shortly thereafter.
01:04We'll also just note that while the defendant was being treated in that ambulance by EMTs, he made statements in
01:09some substance giving a false name.
01:11So based on the severity of the case, those factual allegations, as well as the demonstrative risk of flight that
01:19this defendant poses as already exhibited,
01:22we are asking that remand be continued in this case.
