00:00We're in a city, as I said, known for its celibacy right now.
00:03The founders are going monk mode, no dating until series B is a mantra.
00:08Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:10Engineers have so much time to build and so little time to bone.
00:14Are they missing out?
00:16What is your advice to those in tech who'd say like a sex life is a distraction?
00:21Yeah, like we all know this intuitively that, you know,
00:24a well-maintained car drives better than a poorly maintained car.
00:28That, you know, a well-rested child performs better than a poorly rested child.
00:33Like basically, whether it's a mechanical object, a physical object, or a biological object,
00:38those things run better when they're healthy.
00:41Like no one wants to write a shitty code base.
00:43You want healthy code.
00:44And so what founders don't realize is when you're not taking care of your health,
00:49you are shitty code.
00:51Like you are not beautiful code.
00:53A good partnership is really beneficial for mental health and physical health.
00:58Most founders have mental health issues.
01:01Most people in this room have mental health issues.
01:04Like, can we be honest?
01:06And like, you know, it's true.
01:08And like, we don't talk about it,
01:09but like a substantial portion of American citizens have mental health issues.
01:13We have not created a culture of health, and it's hurting everybody.
01:16Good, everybody.
01:16Good night.
