00:00In the heart of the Colosseum, amongst the ruins of the archaeological park,
00:05olive harvesting is no longer an unusual site.
00:09This is the birthplace of the Olio di Roma IGP project,
00:13which brings agriculture back into the city,
00:15an initiative that transforms Rome into a productive landscape,
00:19as well as a monumental one.
00:48In Rome, nature, agriculture and urbanization coexist.
00:54There are around 2,200 farms within the municipal boundaries alone.
00:58This heritage effectively makes it the largest agricultural municipality in Europe,
01:03making the link with history not merely evocative, but substantial.
01:45In terms of production, Olio di Roma IGP involves around 120 farms in Lazio,
01:52which follow a precise set of guidelines.
