00:00Almost 120 million people in the United States live with air pollution that is negatively affecting their health, according to
00:07a new report.
00:08The American Lung Association report found that many Americans were living in places with failing grades for unhealthy levels of
00:15ozone or particle pollution.
00:17According to CNN, one cause of the high amounts of particle pollution are the wildfires that have burned hundreds of
00:23thousands of acres.
00:25Western and southwestern cities are the most ozone polluted, and some of the most polluted cities in our country are
00:31reported to be in California.
00:33New York and Chicago followed closely behind.
00:36The report wasn't all bad news.
00:38There were some improvements for air quality.
00:40The American Lung Association found that 17.6 million fewer people were breathing unhealthy air than in last year's report.
00:48North Carolina had several cities among the cleanest places for particle pollution and ozone.
