01:39We are tied at 43 with under four minutes to go in this first half
01:45Neither team shooting at all from three-point territory
01:49Wiggins got a three!
01:51The reverse jinx!
01:53The power of the play-by-play man
01:56That's Wiggins' second three. He's had a great year. She was complete.
02:00The first share of his career to be over 40%. And he's got 10 points.
02:06This is ball. A round hero. The man can finger roll.
02:1646-45. Heat.
02:20Entry. Wiggins. Against the rookie. Helps up DimaTorzok. He locks it.
02:25But it's off the mark. Ball head on a swivel. Trailer is Bridges.
02:32Knippel considered a logo shot.
02:35Opted not to take it.
02:38Bridges will fire.
02:40Caught next!
02:4615 for Miles Bridges. He's three or four from downtown.
02:51Bordens go back in front.
02:52Huckett's the spin to the rim. Missed it. Ware keeps it alive.
02:57And a reload here for the Heat. Diabate trying to knock the ball free.
03:02Shot clock is down to four. Huckett's has to make it happen.
03:06Huckett's nails it from deep.
03:1349-48 Heat.
03:15Huckett's only second bucket of the night for one of the leading candidates to be sixth man of the year.
03:20Huckett's scored more points off the bench this year than anybody else in the NBA.
03:27James to Bridges.
03:30And a defensive three seconds is the call.
03:33So that stops the drive.
03:35And will send Charlotte to the free throw line.
03:38Huckett's not known for his three-point shooting.
03:41Known a lot more as an attacker.
03:43But knocks this one in.
03:46Only 32% on the year.
03:51The ball shoots it at 90%.
03:59Coming up.
04:01Tune in for the half presented by AT&T Taylor Rooks.
04:05Blake Griffin.
04:05Udonis Haslam.
04:06Dirk Nowitzki.
04:08The Hornets dominating the boards and how the Heat are shutting down.
04:12And Kahn Knippel.
04:14Ware gets a rest with 1.59 on the clock.
04:21Ball now with 14 points and 14 minutes of action.
04:27Ball.
04:29Oh!
04:31LaMelo Ball with a deep shot!
04:34And he reacted late there.
04:36He's got a great celebration now.
04:39Riggins misses on a three.
04:4552-49.
04:47Oh, no!
04:49Comes up short.
04:50Long pass.
04:51Huckett's couldn't track it down.
04:54Turnover.
04:58Here's LaMelo Ball.
05:00He can shoot it with as much range as anybody in the league.
05:05Knocks that one in.
05:08Turnovers have been limited.
05:11Four on each side.
05:12Ball and Bridges have scored 32 of their points.
05:16Inside.
05:17Ball.
05:17Had to take it away.
05:21Davey on Mitchell with the steal.
05:23Hero floats it up and in.
05:26One-point game with 1.05 on the clock.
05:39James in a matchup with Hero.
05:45Bridges.
05:48Switching hands on Mitchell.
05:49Couldn't get it to go.
05:50Off to the races for Miami.
05:52Huckett's to the wing Hero.
05:55Bordens gets back defensively.
05:56Hero forces his way in for two.
05:58And the hard.
06:10Mitchell may have gotten away with a foul there.
06:12But then Miami goes the other way.
06:15And Hero a very tough finish.
06:20Tyler Hero has gone 10 straight games with 20 points or more against the Hornets.
06:32They're apparently very opinionated here in Charlotte.
06:35Yeah, I'm surprised they disagreed with that.
06:40Watch for Charlotte to go two for one here.
06:44And to try to go very quickly.
06:46White gets into it quickly for balls.
06:48They show two bodies working around.
06:51Williams taking up space.
06:53Lays it up.
06:54No.
06:55Rig on it by Mitchell.
06:56There's a two-second difference.
06:58Shot clock to game clock.
07:00And the coaching staff for Miami has indicated hold for one.
07:0710 to shoot.
07:09Heat up by two.
07:13Mitchell watched by ball.
07:15Mitchell makes his move.
07:17Ball gets a piece.
07:18Mitchell recovers.
07:19Tosses it up.
07:19No.
07:23And it hits off the top of the backboard.
07:26And that is it for the first half.
07:31SoFi play-in tournament.
07:33Highly competitive as expected between number 10 Miami and number 9 Charlotte.
07:3954-52.
07:41The Heat in front.
07:42You're watching the SoFi NBA play-in tournament right here on the front.
07:49The Half presented by AT&T.
07:54It is halftime in Charlotte.
07:56The Heat lead the Hornets 54-42 in the opening game of the play-in tournament.
08:01Welcome on in.
08:02I'm Taylor Rooks with Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, and Udonis Haslam.
08:05Really physical first half in Charlotte tonight.
08:08It is win or go home.
08:10But in the first half, a sight that nobody wants to see.
08:13Bam Adebayo with a hard fall at the start of the second quarter.
08:17He is questionable to return.
08:18But, UD, what did you see on that play?
08:21Well, obviously, emotions are flying.
08:23Everybody's competing at a high level.
08:24You go for a loose ball.
08:25Bam goes to grab the loose ball.
08:27It bounces, I think, off LaMelo.
08:29And LaMelo grabs Bam's leg.
08:31A little ankle grab.
08:32Definitely a leg with.
08:33Definitely a little WWE there.
08:34But what I will say is LaMelo's not a dirty player.
08:36So I don't think he meant to do that intentionally to hurt Bam.
08:39But in the height of the moment, as everything's going on,
08:42sometimes you make decisions, split-second decisions.
08:45I think he made a split-second decision.
08:47But hopefully, Bam's able to come back.
08:49But the unfortunate thing is the ref's sitting right there.
08:50That's got to be a call.
08:51Something has to be called.
08:53I don't know if that's a flagrant or a regular foul or whatever.
08:55That's up to the referee's discretion.
08:57But I think something has to be called at that point of the game.
08:59That's a huge, huge play to miss.
09:00Yeah, obviously, no Bam is super unfortunate.
09:03But on the positive side for Miami Heat,
09:04they showed a lot of resolve since Bam went out.
09:07They were down four, now up two at the half.
09:09Guy stepped up, played really, really hard.
09:11Khalil Ware was great.
09:13Hiro got it going down there at the end a little bit.
09:15And on Charlotte's side, Myles Bridges was fantastic.
09:18I mean, not just the points.
09:20He's three for four from three, but multiple deflections,
09:24multiple block shots, getting out in transition,
09:28just doing everything that you have to do in a game like this.
09:31So he's really leading by example for the Hornets.
09:35And then, you know, they're going to need more of that.
09:37Myles Bridges has 15 points.
09:39They had three of the Hornets' seven threes in the first half.
09:43I do want to stay there with the Bam out of Iowa Fall, though.
09:46We saw in that video Spolstra talking to the refs.
09:49How do you really get your guys to rally in this moment?
09:51It would be a big loss.
09:53Hopefully, he does return in the second.
09:54I just lose or go home.
09:55You don't have time to show weakness right now.
09:58You have to come together.
09:58This is what you've done all season, collectively build that partnership
10:02and that relationship with these guys.
10:03When he steps out, it's next-man-up mentality.
10:05Khalil Ware has eight points and seven rebounds in the first half.
10:08You know the history of the Miami Heat when he plays well
10:10and when he gets 20-plus minutes.
10:12So I don't think they're in a terrible situation with Khalil Ware in there.
10:15He's definitely going to do his job, but they have to gain rebound.
10:17I mean, they're getting obliterated on the glass right now,
10:19so they have to gain rebound and help Khalil out.
10:21Yeah, well, for Charlotte, Khan Knippel,
10:24he has been shooting 31% from three in his last nine games,
10:270 for 5 from three in the first half.
10:29How are they approaching him defensively?
10:31Yeah, they're trying to take him out of the game.
10:33I think they're pressing him.
10:35They're being physical with him when he comes off picks.
10:38Here, as you can see, already before he even gets the pick,
10:41they're being physical with him.
10:42They're playing and tough.
10:43They're not no-help responsibility.
10:45Your responsibility is just to contest Khan's shots.
10:48And he didn't really have a lot of clean looks from three here.
10:51Again, be physical at the pick, grab and hold, switch,
10:55help shortly, but get out on his three.
10:58Khan is still an amazing player.
11:00Obviously, he made a couple plays off the dribble.
11:02I think that's what he's going to do a little more.
11:03If they really take his three-ball away like that
11:06and they're contesting it hard,
11:07he's going to have the chance to put the ball down.
11:10And, of course, the Hornets need more from Brandon Miller.
11:14Two suspect fouls.
11:16You can't get yourself into foul trouble in a big game like this
11:19and a winner go home.
11:20And so, either Khan or Brandon Miller need to get going here for Charlotte
11:25in the second half.
11:25But great game, great intensity, man.
11:28We needed this.
11:30We're excited.
11:30We're excited.
11:31And for Miami, Jaime Hawkins has to get going.
11:33He's a guy who's been huge for them off the bench.
11:35They're shrinking off him a lot.
11:36So, I think we definitely need to get the ball to him,
11:38let him drive, get in the paint, do what he does best.
11:40But if they're going to shrink on him,
11:41you have to make them pay defensively on the other end.
11:43And what they're doing with Khan Knippel on that end,
11:47continue to put him in pick and rolls and get him in that pocket.
11:49Because even if he doesn't make the shot,
11:51the big is following to offense rebound every single time.
11:54So, something positive is happening when he gets the ball
11:55and he gets in that pocket.
11:56Yeah, this is intense.
11:58This is physical.
11:58Feels like an elimination game.
12:00The Heat, though, have made the playoffs through the play-in
12:02in three straight seasons,
12:04trying their best to keep the playoff streak alive.
12:06All right, it's time for Court Connection.
12:08Presented by AT&T, Tyler Hero.
12:11Setting up Khalil Webb.
12:13Okay, big fella.
12:14Knocks it down.
12:16Ware with 8.7 bullets.
12:18The Heat up by two against the Hornets.
12:20The loser of this game is eliminated.
12:22The half presented by AT&T continues.
12:24Three different looks.
12:25Yeah.
12:31All-star for the fifth time this season.
12:34Smooth right there.
12:35Look at him.
12:36Look at him.
12:36Led the Suns in scoring with 26 points per game.
12:39Phoenix taking on Portland in game two of our play-in doubleheader.
12:43The winner earns the number seven seed in the West.
12:48Meanwhile in Charlotte, it's winner go home.
12:50It's the 9-10 game in the East.
12:52The Heat up 54-52 against the Hornets.
12:55And the second half is coming at you.
13:04The half is presented by AT&T.
13:07Connecting changes everything.
13:11No decision.
13:12Well, I'm going to push it to the limit.
13:14Never mind the consequences and the fear.
13:35And welcome back to the SoFi NBA play-in tournament right here on Prime.
13:40We are in Uptown Charlotte, where the Miami Heat lead the Hornets 54-52.
13:47Time for Points in the Bank, presented by SoFi.
13:51Well, for the Heat, it's all been about getting in the paint.
13:54When they do, they can get the shots they want.
13:58Hero to Khalil Ware, one of the two drive-and-kick threes he's been able to make.
14:03Or if the defense doesn't commit, they're able to come in and hit that little floater.
14:10Iron Eagle, Stan Van Gundy, Cassidy Hubberth here in Charlotte.
14:13Hornets fans have been waiting for this, waiting for this opportunity.
14:17Miami, as we know, very familiar with the play-in, fourth straight year.
14:21But right now doing it without Bam Adebayo.
14:23He's listed as questionable with that lower back injury.
14:26Yeah, and that's tough for the Heat.
14:27I mean, your guy, your captain, your best player, the guy who leads your defense, not there.
14:35Moments ago, Cassidy with Miami guard Tyler Hero.
14:40Tyler, a physical game where you guys have had the advantage in the paint,
14:44but with Bam dealing with that back injury,
14:46how does that shift things here for you guys in the second half?
14:49Yeah, we've got to have the same intensity we had in the first half.
14:53Obviously, Diabate's been a monster on the offensive glass.
14:56We've got to keep him off the glass.
14:57We bound and try to create an extra possession for us.
15:00And how do you guys lean into your experience to keep your season alive here?
15:04Like I said, same intensity we brought in that first half.
15:08And we've got guys who've been here before, so just got to lean on that experience.
15:11Thanks for your time, Tyler.
15:13Back to you, Ian.
15:14All right, thanks so much, Cassidy.
15:16This is a Miami team that struggled down the stretch this season at 5-10.
15:20And that is a major reason why they are in this situation
15:25as the number 10 team in the Eastern Conference.
15:28Meanwhile, Charlotte was fantastic.
15:31Second half of the season, this team was 12 games under 500.
15:35They finished six games over 500 at 44 and 38.
15:41First possession of this second half.
15:45Hornet trying to protect the Hive.
15:47Chuck-Hawk is down to five bridges.
15:50Misses on a three ball, and it's rebounded by Ware.
15:54Very good defensive possession by Miami.
15:57It's the best defense Miami's played in about four weeks.
16:00Hotcats, a blast to the rim, getting the start here in the second half
16:03with the injured out of Bayo.
16:05The push-up doesn't go for Wiggins.
16:07And interestingly for Charlotte, the two guys who've been through this before,
16:12Ball and Bridges, both playing really, really well.
16:15No one else getting it going at all for the Hornets.
16:19Miller had three fouls in the first half, so not a huge factor.
16:24Ball, pull-up jump.
16:26It's good.
16:27Well, those two guys, Ball and Bridges, are 12 for 24.
16:32They're 5 for 12 from 3.
16:34The rest of the team, 8 for 27 from the floor, 2 for 10 from 3.
16:39Those two guys are going to need some help.
16:41Hotcats, bodies bumping.
16:43And Hotcats with a slick move off the glass.
16:46Well, he knows he can go right at Brandon Miller.
16:48Brandon Miller's got the three fouls, doesn't want to pick up the fourth.
16:53Hotcats very aggressive.
16:57Miller trying to get involved here offensively.
17:01Stops, pops, hits.
17:06Miller!
17:07Miller, a three-level scorer.
17:09The turnaround jumper is a weapon.
17:12He's got legitimate range.
17:14Shot at the 38% from three-point territory during the regular season.
17:20Huck has.
17:21The handles.
17:23Nice dish.
17:24Wiggins couldn't finish.
17:25Slammed down on the follow by Ware.
17:29Great cut by Wiggins, Al.
17:31Ball beats Mitchell to the spot after the contact.
17:34Hits for a little one go.
17:35That tip-in does from Diabate.
17:38That's Diabate's first shot attempt of the night.
17:43Team went 31-16 with Diabate in the starting lineup.
17:47Hero penetrates, lost it, saves it.
17:50They wanted to travel.
17:51Hawkeyes nails the triple.
17:56Hawkeyes into double figures.
17:59And congratulations to his sister Gabriella.
18:01Won a national championship at UCLA.
18:04Then fifth and fifth in the WNBA draft by the Chicago Sky.
18:07Nice move by Ball.
18:10I watched that women's championship game.
18:12She was the best player on the floor that night.
18:16And it was good that Jaime was able to attend that game.
18:21Out in Phoenix.
18:24National title for UCLA.
18:27Mitchell protects himself.
18:30Comes up short of the flip.
18:31Comes right back to him.
18:34They got a reset here with nine to shoot.
18:38Hero directing traffic.
18:40Watch to take it.
18:42Ball goes around him.
18:43Lost it.
18:44Out of bounds.
18:46It's going the other way.
18:49Here's Hawkeyes on the drive.
18:50He knows.
18:51You see Brandon Miller offering very little resistance.
18:54Hawkeyes smart there.
18:56And then Tyler Hero getting it out to him with no hesitation.
19:00He should not sit in.
19:03Miami up by one.
19:05Hornets trying to regain the lead.
19:07Ball.
19:08Missed it.
19:09Grabbed by Diabate.
19:14Ball had a block.
19:15It's a foul on Mitchell.
19:17He wants him to challenge it.
19:21Miami.
19:21That automatic reaction that we see.
19:24Mitchell's trying to get validation from the coaching staff that he got it clean.
19:29He did.
19:33He's looking at the coaches in that second row.
19:37And now they've been given the green light to challenge it.
19:41But they'll win this challenge.
19:46Mitchell felt very confident.
19:50Coach's challenge with Miami up by one.
19:57SoFi playing underway.
19:59So the winner here will take on the loser of Philadelphia, Orlando.
20:04We'll have that game for you tomorrow night on Prime.
20:06And then, of course, the playoffs get underway with Detroit and Boston waiting to see who they will play.
20:16This was the coach's challenge.
20:18The foul was called on Mitchell.
20:20The officials looked at it, determined.
20:22Clean block.
20:24Imminent possession to Miami.
20:26So the Heat take over.
20:27Successful challenge for Eric Spolster.
20:29Good challenge there by the Heat.
20:32I still say they could quicken this up.
20:34We have the answer right away.
20:36We have great cameramen who give us the great shot.
20:39We looked at it.
20:40We said, no, they're going to win that challenge.
20:42So Miami with a chance to add to its lead here.
20:47We approach eight minutes to go in the third.
20:49Doing it without Bam out of bio.
20:52Hero.
20:53The floater is good.
20:59Tyler Hero now with nine points.
21:02Balance scoring for the Heat.
21:05Ball.
21:05A series of moves.
21:07Puts it in.
21:08Puts the foul.
21:15Tyler Hero.
21:16Hero picks it up.
21:24LaMelo ball just keeps it peddled to the metal.
21:29And a chance at a three-point play.
21:32Ball now with 23 points.
21:35Miami has four players with ten.
21:40And one with nine.
21:41Time for Hero.
21:42So the lion's share of the scoring has been Ball and Bridges.
21:47For Charlotte.
21:48Much more balance here for the Heat.
21:49And we're tied at 63.
21:52Get into it here with Hero.
21:54Defended by Knipple.
21:55And a foul is called.
21:57Way outside.
21:59And that's number three on the rookie.
22:07Charles Lee told us that would have stood out from day one.
22:10This team competes so hard.
22:13He saw a commitment in the offseason.
22:16And he saw habits change from last year to this year.
22:20And in the second half of the year, he's seen those habits turn into wins.
22:25Hero.
22:27Splash on a three.
22:31His first three of the night.
22:33Miller the answer.
22:35Yes, sir.
22:4266-66.
22:44Mitchell to drive.
22:45Wiggins.
22:46Missed it.
22:49Knipple gets it ahead for Bridges.
22:55Bridges fake the handoff.
22:57Oh, it's caught by Ware.
22:58He devoured it.
23:01Wiggins.
23:02On the rock attack.
23:04Defense leads to offense.
23:07That was major stuff from Ware.
23:12How good has Ware been tonight?
23:15He's got ten points.
23:17He's got ten rebounds.
23:18He's got three blocks.
23:22Spin by Miller.
23:23In another block by Ware.
23:26He erases it.
23:27Hawkins.
23:28To Wiggins.
23:30Big finish.
23:35Khalil Ware taking this game over.
23:39Khalil Ware has been the kryptonite.
23:44Ball.
23:46And down by Diaberte.
23:50Well, Khalil Ware was halfway up on ball.
23:54Not enough to take away the shot,
23:56but too far to get back to a block out on Diaberte.
24:01Rising up.
24:03Hero missed it.
24:05Cleared by Diaberte.
24:07Charlotte is down by two.
24:08We are past the halfway point of the third.
24:11Bridges swing.
24:12Miller ready position.
24:13Can't hit the three.
24:14Oh!
24:18Oh!
24:19Wiggins leads in for the deuce.
24:23Wiggins was 16 now.
24:25His last three buckets all in transition.
24:3272-68 Miami.
24:38Diaberte not a threat from there.
24:40Nine to shoot.
24:42And a kickball against Ware.
24:44He set the shot clock to 14.
24:47Here's Ware's fourth block of the game.
24:50Or third, actually.
24:51That's the third one.
24:52He caught it.
24:53This was the fourth.
24:54And he turned both of those into layups at the other end.
24:59Back in three of the mornings.
25:02Second season in the NBA.
25:06Averaged 11 points, nine rebounds, just over a block per game.
25:10Alonzo Mourning watching on.
25:11He's got a deep connection to both franchises.
25:14Now works with the Miami Heat.
25:19Ball.
25:19Fakes on a three.
25:20Gets it back from Kobe White, who's in.
25:22Ball to drive.
25:23The dish.
25:24James, extra.
25:25Miller, jab, jumper.
25:27He's got it.
25:31They need that.
25:32He's starting to get going a little bit.
25:34They need somebody else to get going here.
25:37He's now three of five from downtown.
25:3911 points.
25:41Wiggins.
25:42Inside.
25:43A foul.
25:49The question is, who will they call it on?
25:52And it's ball.
25:54It's number three.

26:09Well, I like the way Miami has gone at matchups here early.
26:12with Miller having three fouls.
26:16They win at him with Jaime Jaquez.
26:18He couldn't offer resistance.
26:20There they find the mismatch with Wiggins against Ball in the post.
26:25Excellent job by Miami recognizing the mismatches.
26:30Charlotte has very low foul numbers this season.
26:34They are number one in opponents' free throw attempts per game.
26:37Just 20.4.
26:40And Miami has not taken a whole lot of free throws.
26:47They are now three of four collectively.
26:49The bottom line for Charlotte, though, is, we talked about it earlier,
26:54when you're so reliant on the three,
26:57it's tough in a one-game situation,
27:00and they have not shot it well tonight at all.
27:04Williams.
27:05Misses on the three-ball, rebounded by Larson,
27:08who's back in there for Miami.
27:09He's giving them good minutes.
27:10Early offense.
27:11Ware!
27:13Major throwdown!
27:16Kellell Ware has dominated!
27:2176-71 Heat.
27:23Timeout.
27:24Hornets.
27:26Miami now leads it 76-71.
27:28This is the largest lead of the night for the Heat.
27:31Now, time for push the pace, presented by Intuit TurboTax.
27:35Well, Miami, one of the best running teams in the league.
27:39Second in fast-break points.
27:41They get the ball up the floor quickly there.
27:44Kahlil Ware just outrunning everybody.
27:48Pella Larson finding him over the top.
27:51The Heat starting to wear Charlotte out in transition.
27:56Fastest pace in the league, Ian.
27:5910.4 seconds on the average.
28:01They get a shot up.
28:04Well, let's see how the Hornets respond.
28:07Four and a half to go here in the third.
28:09Miller, White, Williams, Kochbrenner now in there for Charlotte, along with Ball.
28:17We are yet to see Norman Powell in this second half for Miami.
28:22Ball working without the ball.
28:24And misses on the three.
28:26It's guided back for once.
28:28Pulls up.
28:30We've said it a couple times in this game.
28:32That's when you get the best, most open three-point looks is on offensive rebounds.
28:38Here I'm looking for the lane.
28:41Kicked.
28:42Mitchell.
28:43Exiters.
28:45Bingo from the outside.
28:47Davion Mitchell has come to play.
28:50His third three of the night.
28:57Swings up by Kochbrenner.
28:59Miller continues.
29:01Floats it up.
29:01Another denial, but this one was too late.
29:04It was on the way down for Kalil Ware.
29:08That is just great athleticism and great awareness by Brandon Miller getting off the floor.
29:15And Tyler Hero getting deep and creating a wide-open look for Davion Mitchell.
29:24Hero trying to get around Mitchell.
29:27Cutter, Larson, puts it up.
29:29Ware couldn't get her.
29:33Charlotte is down by three.
29:35Head and shoulder fake by Ball.
29:37Stick back, Jay.
29:40Grabbed by Hero.
29:42That's ball's 11th three-point attempt of the night.
29:45He's only two for 11.
29:47Hero slips the fenders.
29:48The scoop to the hoop.
29:49Doesn't go.
29:51White gets it ahead for Ball.
29:54Miller, ball fake.
29:57Locks it for a moment.
29:59Recovers, flicks it to the outside.
30:01Shot clock is down to 10.
30:05Ball, a one-on-one with Hero.
30:08Using the screen, protects himself.
30:11Floats it up and in.
30:12Hero!
30:14Oh, my God!
30:19Eight for 13 inside the arc.
30:22Little over 60%.
30:24Hasn't been able to knock down threes consistently.
30:27Hero was looking for a call.
30:31Riggins overcooked the three.
30:35Charlotte can regain the lead.
30:39LaMelo Ball going to work.
30:43Timer down to 10.
30:46White using the screen.
30:48Pull a puck.
30:49Oh!
30:50Accident!
30:53You don't usually use a glass from that angle, but okay.
30:58Colby White from Goldsboro, North Carolina
31:01has put the Hornets up by two.
31:057-0-1.
31:06Mitchell puts his head down.
31:08Outside for where?
31:12Off the heel.
31:13The wall hasn't knocked down the long threes.
31:16He's been good in the corners.
31:17Quick jump right off from Williams.
31:20Walson loses his footing and turns it over.
31:22There's no hesitation.
31:24Colby White!
31:27Kaboom!
31:40It is a 10-0 Hornets burst.
31:48This one I think he should have to call, Ian.
31:50I really do.
31:51I think it needs to be a rule change.
31:54Definitely didn't mean to do this, but got it off and knocked it in.
31:57But this one was pure.
32:00Pella Larson on the slip creates the opportunity.
32:03He doesn't hesitate.
32:05Just steps right into it.
32:06That's shooting practice.
32:0911 points off the bench for White.
32:14They acquired him from Chicago on February the 4th,
32:19and he's averaged 16 points in a Hornets uniform,
32:22shooting it at 39% from three-point territory.
32:28Right now, let's send it over to Cassidy Hubbard.
32:30Yeah, adding a little more sting to what the Heat are trying to manage right now.
32:34Bama Adebayo has been ruled out for the rest of the game
32:37with that lower back injury that he suffered in the first half, guys.
32:42And it was not reviewed because we had a change of possession,
32:48and it was a grab by Ball right at the end.
32:51He took the leg out from under Bam Adebayo.
32:55Adebayo was starting to fall.
32:57That certainly did not help matters.
32:59Not at all, and it made it a little bit harder of a fall, let's say.
33:04But it's really interesting with Charlotte.
33:07There's three guys in double figures.
33:09Well, actually four.
33:10Brandon Miller's in there now.
33:12But three of the guys are the guys who've been through it before.
33:14Kobe White facing the Heat to play in for the fourth straight year.
33:18Ball and Bridges, who've lost a couple play-in games earlier in their career.
33:23The other guys have really struggled.
33:26Powell is in, so is Hawkins.
33:28Chuck Hawkins down to seven.
33:31Mitchell takes a peek.
33:33He blows.
33:34Bogdia buzzs it and lays it in with a left.
33:37Wow.
33:39A.B.I. Mitchell having a great game.
33:43Just had an extra gear there.
33:46Last year, he was terrific in the play-in,
33:49in that victory over Atlanta to propel Miami into the playoffs.
33:54He's found a home here with Fahid,
33:56a guy who was thought of as only a defender in Sacramento.
34:00That's added to his game.
34:02Attack mode for Kobe White.
34:07Kobe White doesn't want to see his season in
34:10for a fourth straight year at the hands of the Miami Heat.
34:14He's seen enough of them.
34:15As a member of the Bulls,
34:17he could not get out of the play-in.
34:2186-81.
34:22We're down to 22 seconds left.
34:24Third quarter.
34:25Shot clock down to four.
34:26Powell the drive.
34:27Oh, with the English.
34:29Full extension by Norman Powell.
34:32Wow.
34:34Fantecchio in the game for Miami.
34:37Charlotte.
34:38Final possession.
34:39How small is this line at Miami?
34:44Ball.
34:45Fourth to give it up.
34:46Another one.
34:47Yes!
34:49Kobe White is not human!
34:52Oh!
34:57Oh!
34:58Oh!
34:58Oh!
34:59Oh!
34:59Oh!
35:00Oh!
35:02They are in a frenzy here at the Hive.
35:06Takeover mode for Kobe White.
35:12We go to the fourth quarter with the Hornets in front.
35:1789-83 over the Heat.
35:19Back after this on Pride.
35:24Play-in tournament right here on Pride.
35:28Kobe White.
35:29He has 42 points in a play-in game in 2024.
35:32He is moving into play-in superstar territory.
35:36Well, he would be if we actually kept track of these stats over time.
35:40The numbers just go away.
35:41They disappear into the ether they go.
35:43Hotcast.
35:44Got it back.
35:45Ridiculous angle.
35:47Nearly went in.
35:48From Ware.
35:49But couldn't finish it.
35:50Well, when these two teams played last, March 17th, here in Charlotte, Dan Adebayo did not play.
35:58It was a close game until late in the third.
36:02And then Charlotte went on a run.
36:07Ended up winning the game by 30.
36:09The Heat hoping that this isn't deja vu.
36:12Diaponte with a tip-in.
36:14This matches the largest lead for Charlotte.
36:16Hotcast can't answer.
36:17And Diaponte with another four.
36:19Here's 11th.
36:21Knipo crosses over.
36:23Ware knocked it away from behind.
36:25Out of bounds.
36:29Important time here for Miami.
36:33Kobe White, 14 points in the third.
36:36Miller had 10.
36:37So you asked who else is going to score for Charlotte.
36:40Those two took over the responsibility.
36:42And the rest of the team was 2 for 10 for three in that corner.
36:46Knipo missed it.
36:47He's just been off here tonight.
36:50He's now 2 of 11 from the field.
36:52He's really struggled shooting the ball from everywhere, though, his last 10 games.
36:57Mitchell, he has just been a ball of activity.
37:00Another one with the offhand.
37:02He's got 17.
37:03You just wonder with Knipo, you know, he played college seasons where he played maybe 40 games.
37:10Now this is game 82 for him, 83 for the team.
37:15Diabonte goes down.
37:20I don't see Diabonte take very many jump hooks, I mean, but he got that one to go.
37:25And he's 4 of 4 from the field.
37:278 points, 11 revenge, and a block.
37:31Powell trying to force his way in against Knipo.
37:35Go to the other side.
37:36Davion Mitchell to Jaquez.
37:45And the crowd reacting, I think, more so because it was a late call.
37:50The late call always draws the ire of the crowd.
37:53I don't think there's much doubt that this was a good call.
37:59Yes, there is a lot of doubt that it was a good call.
