00:00Dave Savas saying that you're a tear shamer and a yum yucker.
00:03That's hard to disagree with.
00:05Yeah, I mean, you can you can translate yum yucker in the truth sayer.
00:13No, you guys hate the truth.
00:16I just think especially with your teams.
00:19That's OK.
00:21I don't think they're referring.
00:22I don't think they're referring to the heat, dude.
00:23I think you're no, that's not what that's yum yucking.
00:26Nobody here tries to be based on the reaction of Vans.
00:30Nobody.
00:30The only accurate thing you said last segment was the heater mediocre.
00:34Everything else was quite off.
00:37Really?
00:38Yeah, especially after eating the candy.
00:43I mean.
00:46Nothing like an unwrapped little miniature Easter egg.
00:50I know, but when are you going to grow up, though?
00:59I don't know.
00:59Let me get back to you on that one.
01:01Never.
01:02That's the answer.
01:02So just never.
01:03Never is the answer.
01:05But tonight we'll see if Eric Spolger will continue to start Kalel where he did start in the last two
01:10games of the season.
01:11And then all of a sudden wanted to be like, yeah, I'm invested in it.
01:14I was like, how?
01:16When you're the 10th seed.
01:19Couldn't be invested in it when you were the 60.
01:21It's almost like one of these things where I have like a skeptical eye at it.
01:25Like I almost.
01:25Of course you do.
01:27You're watching the games, too.
01:29I feel like Eric Spolger wants to go into tonight's game.
01:33He wants to watch Moussa Diabate just out hustle Kalel where for a bunch of.
01:37So he can say, see, I told you.
01:39Told you.
01:40And so we can go.
01:41That's going to be his lasting image into the summer.
01:43But here's the deal.
01:46And this will always be the case when you have a good group of guys.
01:52The coach shouldn't have to say that to him.
01:55The other players will.
01:57We need you.
01:59Start running.
01:59Right.
02:01And so that should never even get to Spol.
02:05It should be taken care of.
02:09On the court with the other guys, with the veterans.
02:12That's kind of how that's kind of part of being a leader, knowing and understanding what your team needs.
02:21And doing everything you can to facilitate that.
02:24So if Kalel is not.
02:27You know, playing the way he needs to play.
02:31It's up to the leaders on the team.
02:34Not the coach.
02:36It's up to the leaders on the team to express, you know, to him his importance and why he needs
02:44to hustle and get down the floor.
02:47And I think that's part of the reason why I think when he plays with Bam and he's on the
02:54floor with Bam, Bam can kind of, you know, keep him going.
02:59Yeah, Bam has talked multiple times about how Kalel trusts him and the communication factor.
03:05That's leadership.
03:06But it's like that.
03:07But the thing is, is like they can do it all they want.
03:09They don't have the choices in it.
03:11Like it's still the coach's decision.
03:12Correct.
03:13Invested in it.
03:13Correct.
03:15I would tell you.
03:17So.
03:18So we played the first two games of the season and then the next two games I had five carries
03:27and four carries.
03:28Right.
03:29For reasons nobody could explain because the first two weeks I had like 100 and then one I had like
03:3499.
03:36And finally, after a game, Tony Jones, after a game that we lost, went to the mic and said, Leroy
03:47needs to play more.
03:49He's helping us win.
03:51He can't have four or five carries.
03:54And that was it.
03:58Now, they stayed on me.
04:00Right.
04:02OK, look, we got your back.
04:04You have ours.
04:05Yeah.
04:05But how many times has Bam done that?
04:07Like, I feel like he's done the Kal-El speech publicly.
04:10How many times, Brittany?
04:11Three, four this year about how much he likes it?
04:13Yeah.
04:13It's been.
04:15Again, I would say I would say a big difference with that is.
04:21I was maybe in my third year or fourth year and he's in his second.
04:28And he's young.
04:29So I understand, like, just to assume that.
04:33OK, I'm a young player.
04:35I got talent.
04:36When somebody says something, I got it.
04:38Right?
04:39No.
04:40Like, that's part of it.
04:42Part of it is that everybody's not going to pick it up like Bam.
04:46And even if you look at Bam, he didn't come into his own until when?
04:50It wasn't right away.
04:52Like, we were three or four.
04:55He started starting his third year.
04:58Right.
04:58But he probably, he started getting his regular role and, like, his second regular.
05:03Yeah, the dribble handoff.
05:04Yeah.
05:05And we were saying, why does Bam shoot?
05:08Yeah, I mean, like, I don't, like, but that's kind of a simplistic way of putting it.
05:12Like, he was, like, that was a good method of offense for the team.
05:16No, I know.
05:17I understand that.
05:18But so what Bam was when he started starting versus what he is now is a different player.
05:25What I'm saying is, is that, OK, Kalel's just in his second year.
05:31If we look at one of the better players on the team and watch his development, why would
05:36we not think that Kalel also playing in a big, as a big, might need some of that same
05:43development?
05:44And in fact, he's a better shooter than Bam was sooner.
05:48Yeah, the shooting's been really good.
05:49He had a really, like, I just, I, and I'm not saying that part of this is not on Kalel.
05:56He does need to play with a little bit more force inside.
05:58Right, I'm not, I'm not saying that some of this is not on Kalel and him making the
06:03decisions to, to do the things.
06:06But I'm saying is, is as far as having the expectations to expect him to be farther along
06:17than your captain, I think we just have to keep, be real about it and understand that,
06:24OK, he's being asked to play a lot more than Bam was.
06:27And do different things.
06:29But, you know, we still have to understand that he's young.
06:34Now, again, part of that's on him, too.
06:39But I just think you take Kalel and put him around Bam, in the game with Bam, as much as
06:48possible.
06:48And then you go to Bam and say, get him in line.
06:51That's, that's the way it has to be.
06:53That's the way team sports are.
06:56You have your leaders.
06:57You have your talented players.
06:58Your leaders are trying to show the talented players the ropes so they can be consistent
07:03players.
07:04Yeah, I think the thing that's just weird about it is, like, he talked about this whole thing
07:07about investing in it, but it was with the Wizards and it was with the Hawks playing nobody
07:11the last two games.
07:12And Pella was hurt the last game.
07:14Um, you know, he did go Pella to the bench.
07:18Pella, you know, can kind of play on any lineup.
07:20I know that he likes having them there a lot.
07:23Um, it's Pella is banged up, too.
07:26So that's probably going to play into it.
07:27Like, maybe he wants to, like, limit those minutes because you know that he loves the
07:31way and the energy that he's going to bring to the, uh, to the table for all this.
07:34I don't really know what plays into this win, though.
07:36Like, you know, they probably need a crazy shooting game from one of Norm or Tyler.
07:40Right.
07:41That's, that's where they had their success.
07:42And the last game that they played, Kalel did not play Charlotte very good when Bam
07:47was out.
07:48Um, that was probably one of his worst games of the season and really was the first downfall
07:53of them really being terrible defensively.
07:56So it's going to be an interesting one, man.
07:58Like, I do think that this feels, I mean, the Heat are definitely capable of beating Charlotte.
08:04What is the line tonight?
08:06Minus five and a half.
08:07For Charlotte?
08:08No.
08:09Yeah.
08:09Yeah.
08:10That's probably, you know, I can't disagree with it too much, you know, with, with how
08:14Miami has been defending lately.
08:15They've, they've been defending like absolute crap for the, for three weeks.
08:19Yep.
08:19And you have this high octane offense, like, unless you're just in the spot where, you
08:25know, the one thing that Miami has is experience.
08:27And so unless Charlotte, Charlotte's playing their biggest franchise game and since purple
08:33shirt guy.
08:35So like, this is, there's, I guess there's a possibility for squeaky cheeks.
08:40But yeah, man, they're going to need, you know, Miami is going to need some, some serious
08:44shooting.
08:45And I do think that that disruption at the rim is going to be a big one for it too.
08:51Cause you are going to want Bam kind of chasing dudes around and having that versatility there.
08:56But I think the problem with the thing that I worry about the Kalel thing is that if it is,
09:04it's like, oh, this is going to be the determination of his future on one play in game.
09:09If it doesn't go well, cause maybe it doesn't go well tonight.
09:12Diabate is a, is a tough matchup for him.
09:15He's a rebounding fiend and he, you know, those, those quicker bigs, those are the ones that usually give Kalel
09:22a lot of trouble.
09:23And so that's going to be an interesting factor onto like, if they do get bounced tonight, what that means
09:28for his future.
09:29If they, if they look at it as, you know, the spoke throw up as any, I tried, which is
09:33really, is really tough at this juncture in his career to like have those thoughts.
09:42Like when you've spent so much time developing players and because you need Kalel to be more, you've disregarded the
09:54development because you want production.
09:57That's unfair.
09:58That's unfair to him.
10:00And I understand that that's the way it works.
10:03But again, this is a second year.
10:07He's a big, which means that he's got to be locked in more on the defensive end too, not just
10:16scoring.
10:17And that's the part that sometimes he struggles with.
10:21And in fairness, he gets caught as a young player in a lot of positions because the guards can't contain
10:31the dribble.
10:33Jay Gatto says that Jaime Hacquez is over on points.
10:3614 and a half is plus 210.
10:38That's tasty.
10:38That's tasty.
10:39That's tasty.
10:41I feel like he gets that off the bench in his sleep.
10:44And it's not like this one's going to be lacking of scoring.
10:47Oh, no.
10:48Interesting.
