00:31Jenny Garth recalled the dissolution of her marriage to Peter Fascinelli and when she
00:36knew that it was finally over, thanks to a marriage therapist.
00:39During a chat on Armchair Expert, the Beverly Hills 90210 alum shared that she and the
00:44Nurse Jackie alum were living apart when he visited her and their three daughters on a
00:49farm in Central California, where the family had moved.
00:53The two entered an RV and that's when he told me he wanted us to get a divorce, Garth shared.
00:58Adding that, Fascinelli then added, Jen, someday you'll thank me for this.
01:03Garth explained that after that, the two did attend couples therapy in Arizona and admitted
01:07that's where everything hit the fan.
01:10The therapist asked Garth why she wanted to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't
01:14love you and that's when the penny dropped and she realized the marriage was truly over.
01:19The former couple met in 1995 while filming the TV movie An Unfinished Affair and married
01:25six years later.
01:27They shared daughters Luca, 28, Lola, 23, and Fiona, 19.
01:32Fascinelli filed for divorce in March 2012 and it was finalized the following year.
01:37The actress, who has a new memoir called I Choose Me, revealed in a recent interview that
01:42she drank so much alcohol and took so many pills following the painful divorce that she
01:47ended up in the hospital having her stomach pumped.
01:50Following that, she checked into the Canyon Ranch Rehab Center.
