00:09We're very honored to be joined by the two countries that United States have strong relations with and we're very
00:17happy to serve this facilitated role.
00:20This is a historic opportunity. We understand we're working against decades of history and complexities that have led us to
00:26this unique moment.
00:26And the opportunity here, I know some of you were shouting questions about ceasefires, this is a lot more than
00:31just about that.
00:32This is about bringing a permanent end to 20 or 30 years of Hezbollah's influence in this part of the
00:38world.
00:40Not just the damage that's inflicted on this, but the damage is inflicted on the Lebanese people.
00:44We have to remember the Lebanese people are victims of Hezbollah. The Lebanese people are victims of Iranian aggression.
00:50And this needs to stop. And so our hope here, and I know this will be a process here,
00:55all of the complexities of this matter are not going to be resolved in the next six hours,
01:00but we can begin to move forward and create the framework where something can happen, something very positive,
01:05something very permanent, so that the people of Lebanon can have the kind of future they deserve,
01:09and so that the people of Israel can live without fear and be struck by rocket attacks from the terrorist
01:15proxy of Iran.
01:16So that is the hope here today. That is what we are beginning to work with.
01:20We are joined by excellent people who will be in a position to obviously take this back to the respective
01:25capitalists.
01:26This is a process, not an event. This is more than just one day. This will take time.
01:31But we believe it is worth this endeavor, and it's a historic gathering that we hope to build on.
01:35And the hope today is that we can outline the framework upon which a permanent and lasting peace can be
01:41developed.
01:41So that as I said, the people of Israel can live in peace, and the people of Lebanon can live
01:46not just in peace,
01:47but the prosperity and the prosperity and the baby's early, okay?
