00:00Lots of organisations in the region are getting a funding boost from the government.
00:04The Liverpool and Merseyside Theatres Trust, which runs the Everyman and Playhouse,
00:09is getting £1 million to update its facilities and refurbish bathrooms, dressing rooms and offices.
00:16A funding boost of almost £130 million is set to be distributed across cultural venues,
00:23museums and libraries in England, the government's announced.
00:26The funding from the government's Arts Everywhere Fund will be shared among 130 venues across the country
00:33with the aim of helping to improve accessibility to arts and culture
00:37and to provide welcoming and affordable spaces for local communities to visit.
00:42It will be the first time that projects will benefit from the fund,
00:46which also aims to revitalise cultural infrastructure
00:49and to protect and preserve arts venues for present and future generations.
00:54The £127.8 million boost will be administered and delivered by Arts Council England
01:00on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
01:04It's made up of three funds, including the Creative Foundations Fund,
01:08which has allocated £96 million to 74 arts and cultural venues across England
01:13to help theatres, performing arts venues, galleries and grassroots music venues
01:17address their infrastructure needs.
01:19Elsewhere in the region, Port Sunlight Village Trust will receive half a million pound
01:24from the Creative Foundations Fund.
